• Every new members can start out by choosing one Gym Leader to train under. Then specifically choose to borrow one of that leader's Pokemon AND capture any wild Pokemon of that same type!
• Any recommendations? See an error in spelling or organizating? Send the owner a PM to the owner.
• Legendary Pokemon are acceptable. What do you think of the new Gym Leaders for Black and White 2: Homika and Shizui?

I am SO happy that there's finally a Poison-type leader. The series has been lacking one since 2nd generation (which was Koga's daughter, Janine). But I think Homika is going to be one of the most popular in the B2 series. Especially her choice of Pokemon. :)

Why have you joined to be trained: I adore gym leaders! My favourite is actually Cilan because he is amazing (I love you Cilan...), but I went with Koga because he uses my favourite type which is also the type I'd specialize in as a gym leader. :3 Also his Muk is the whole cause of my love of the Poison type; it all stemmed from that one Pokemon. It was amazing to see him promoted to the Elite Four and I was so glad to see Poison types get their spotlight! <3 Also I want my Foongus to be raised to gym standard! <3

I absolutely LOVE Homika. Poison types are making a comeback! <3 Her name, style, Pokemon choice (based on speculation), type choice, appearance and just everything released on her so far looks utterly wonderful. I simply cannot wait to challenge her! Shizui I honestly know next-to-nothing about, but I'm sure he'll be cool - Water type gym leaders normally have a certain quirk about them which makes them a pleasure to fight against. :3

Homika! <3 I don't know much about Shizui so there's not much I could comment on about him, but Homika is a whole different story. From her guitar alone it seems obvious she'll be using a Scolipede (the bottom of the guitar = tails, the neck of the guitar = horns, the colour is the same, etc :3) and her hair almost resembles a tied-up rubbish bag, possibly hinting at the use of a Trubbish? Based on this I'd love her team! Then hopefully she'll get a cool Pokemon or two from the previous gens, maybe an Arbok since her personality seems quite sharp and jabbing, and maybe a Toxicroak to compliment her love of music? I dunno, these are very rough guesses, but it's the best I can think of for now x]

Aside from Amoonguss' family, those are the only other two Poison-families in Generation 5. You may be dead-on of what she might hold for her Pokemon in Gym Battles. They just seem right for one another! But her guitar is sick!

I found some pictures, did some browsing. I'm going with, I think she might have Koffing with a Scolipede xD

But she doesn't seem to be the friendly type of person. And I think she will have only two Pokemon. Homika/Shizui, have they been revealed because they are the first two new Gym Leaders of Black and White 2? Meaning the next group will be Gym Leaders 3-4 and so on? We'll see!

Reason For Joining - I've always had a great deal of respect for most if not all of the Gym Leaders ever since I was a wee boy and they've always given me a memorable fight whenever I came to challenge one of them.

Homika does look pretty interesting at first glance though, hope she's among the first of the Gym Leaders you face in B2W2 tbh and I'm definitely praying for a rematch with her after the game is completed.

Lt. Surge is just badass. If it wasn't for Elesa, "The Shining Beauty," I'd for certain pick him as my leader! What's your opinion on Lt. Surge? Did you see the impressive Pikachu vs Raichu battle of the Anime? I remember it clearly. Pikachu lost and wanted to prove that he doesn't NEED to be Raichu to beat Lt. Surge's Raichu. Man that was a great episode, perfect I might say!

Lol indeed. Lt. Surge is simply great in both the anime and the games along with the manga adaptation as well imo, and Pikachu vs Raichu was amazing hands down haha. That episode's gotta be my personal favorite nowadays without a doubt.

Yes, even within the original Pokemon theme song they have that Raichu trying to body slam Pikachu and missing. I think that's another reason for that episode's popularity. Here are a couple pictures I found! Honestly I think Raichu is growing back to me. He was my favorite Pokemon back in Generation 1 and 2. Before I met Latias. Lt. Surge's Raichu's badass personality was the reason for the favoritism.

Same here. I used to have this episode on VHS, I think I watched this episode the most out of every other Pokemon episodes. It was just that amazing! But alrighty. Tradition is a good thing. We have to stay loyalty to our gym leaders after all.

1) Pryce rocks! haha
2) Ice pokemon are my favorite type
3) The only other Ice leader is Candice and I don't like her as much. (Also she has a Mamoswine so it's suitable for more people that just Pryce. )

Why don't you like Candice?

Then again, I always have a soft spot when it comes to female, so there's no real difficult reason why I prefer her over Pryce myself.

What was your favorite moment of Pryce in the Anime? All I can remember is his first appearance right before Lance captured that Red Gyarados

Welcome to the club! Misty, ahh. The favorite female companion of Ash's! How did you feel when Misty parted ways with Ash and Brock? I personally want her back, but as a gym leader, it's her duty to train those Pokemon! Any favorite episodes specifically for/about Misty? There are a tons! I think Shizui will have Water type Pokemon as well.

Jasmine is a wonderful gym leader. I love her as well! I remember seeing her appearance in the Diamond/Pearl series. Checking out the contests, was she? Any favorite moments by Jasmine? That Steelix of hers was indeed a scary one at first appearance!

Now that you think about, Morty is a great Ghost Pokemon. I like him as well. I don't really know much about him myself to be honest.

Why have you joined to be trained: The Gym Leaders are some of the most awesome and respected characters in all of the games, and they have all rightfully deserved their spot on the league teams. They are the challenges ahead of you whenever you start your journey, and for most parts, the ones you train to defeat, and they're all just generally awesome. I loved how they're sometimes parts of events outside of the gyms in the games, which helps to add to their personalities, making you know more about them, and making them the more interesting and in-depth characters in the games.

At the current time I haven't really generated much of an opinion on them, though I like both their designs, and Alex' hype about Homika has kinda made me like her a bit.
I expect Homika to be a tough nail, due to how fierce she looks in the current pictures of her, and seriously. All Poison type trainers has always been a pain in the behind to beat, so I expect nothing less from Homika.

Shizui kinda reminds me of the Gen IV Water type gym leader (which I don't remember the name of, and am to too lazy to look up ), so I look forward to getting more information on him. But as I said, I haven't really gotten an opinion on either of them as of yet :/

I wouldn't say they are all respectful. There are quite a few that are mean and doesn't want to talk or battle against you(the player, of course). I completely agree with what you say about Homika. I think I may like her and enjoy her greatly myself as well. That Generation IV Water-type gym leader you are speaking of? Crasher Wake. It's still very earlier to tell and give an opinion on these guys until the game releases or the anime show their appearances.

Now as for your joining, why do you choose Falkner? Anything specific about him? Other than a freebie to choosing Pidgey

I was sad when Misty left the show. To me, a hot-tempered friend adds more realism to the show and I thought she really completed Ash (even if they fought like crazy!) I really liked her on the show, probably also because of her interesting backround too. Maybe it explains why she was so short tempered, being the youngest of four girls. One of my favorite episodes with her was where she had her first battle with Ash at the Cerulean Gym. Idk... she just made the show to me.

Ever since I began playing Pokemon I found that the ideas and concepts of having gym leaders was really creative and fun, and ever since then, I'd research heavily on each of the gym leaders, alternating between them, finding my favourites etc. My choice of Jasmine is quite simply really, I love steel types. They're streamline, shiny and not to mention quite hardy, which is always a plus. I found that Jasmine was the better looking out of all Gym Leaders haha; Bryson... ew; needs a shave and a shower. xD;

I got the same exact way in searching for favoritism as you do. Only I search more into for the female ones. That's why I always say Elesa and Skyla are the best looking and back up Misty, Whitney and Erika as well. Lt Surge is actually the only male gym leader I like myself, plus Brock but he's a different story. Couldn't stay away from Ash ehh?

Anything with Misty on the show was actually good enough for me. I saw her return in a couple episodes with May and Max. I was so thrilled to see Misty return. Definitely in a different outfit, it was quite awesome for the change!

Which means its time for a new topic...

Which gym leaders or type of gym battles do you expect in Black 2 and White 2?

Well with that being said, I do expect a rotation vs Triple Battle (difference between Black 2 and White 2) to show up. We did have one Double Battle in the Hoenn Region with that Psychic twins, why not have 3v3? (I only had Pokemon Black 1, the first gym didn't even had 3v3 like I thought, which disappointed me) And we haven't had a Dark gym yet. With the exception of the Elite Four using them, that is totally different.

I believe there will be about 1 or 2 gym leaders that will carry over. The rest?

Well we know Homika-Poison and Shizui-Water. We can cancel out 2 with 6 to go. I believe there will be another Electric gym, with Eelektross of course. Later on in the game, further than where they put Elesa as Gym #4. If anyone, I would love the game even more if they have her in it, not even as a gym leader xD

I'm not exactly good at coming up with puzzles and mazes and I'll leave that up to everyone else to predict this, but I've came up with:

What does everyone think about having a possible tournament or of some sort for Pokemon Online with these Gym Leader's Pokemon? Of course this will be later on, will need at least 20 members to happen.

I wouldn't say they are all respectful. There are quite a few that are mean and doesn't want to talk or battle against you(the player, of course). I completely agree with what you say about Homika. I think I may like her and enjoy her greatly myself as well. That Generation IV Water-type gym leader you are speaking of? Crasher Wake. It's still very earlier to tell and give an opinion on these guys until the game releases or the anime show their appearances.

Now as for your joining, why do you choose Falkner? Anything specific about him? Other than a freebie to choosing Pidgey :P

I agree that all gym leaders aren't equally respected, though I don't recall any instances of one not wanting to battle you without reason. Pryce seemed like a cold hearted bastard at first, since he didn't really care about the Pokémon at all, though that was later revealed to be because of his Mamoswine supposedly abandoning him, though it was found frozen in a cave where it must've been for quite a long time. His heart was melted together with the ice surrounding Mamoswine, and his nice side turned and faced the light again, giving me renewed respect for him.
Other than that the only ones I remember were Jasmine, which was only because her Ampharos was sick and she had to take care of it, and Volkner, whose reasons I don't exactly remember, other than that they were good reasons.

My initial choice would actually have been Pryce, though I saw that someone had already chosen him, and I like to be original. The reason that Falkner was my second choice, was mainly, as you mentioned, because of the freebie to get Pidgey xD. Though I mostly like the fact that he's a MALE Flying type gym leader, and I guess he has a quite cool design. I'm not much for his hair, but the overworlds fixed that :p
Other than that, I obviously like his in-game team, and I guess they expanded that in HGSS with the rematches? Man, I really need to get one of those games.

As for the topic, I really want to see a Ghost type gym again. If I remember correctly, we haven't seen one since Morty's gym in Gen II, and that's a looooooooooong time ago. :/ Maybe also going original and making a mixed type gym, like one with a lot of types. That'd be cool ^^

Why have you joined to be trained: I want to learn more and understand the strategies of Gym Leaders. I love most of the Gym Leaders but the reason I picked Elesa was cos she has the coolest design of them and Electric is one of my fave types, not to mention I love Emolga.

What do you think of the new Gym Leaders for Black and White 2: Homika and Shizui?
I think they have cool designs, especially Homika. I'm loving all the fanart she's getting right now and we haven't had a Poison Gym Leader since Kanto. As for Shizui, his skin looks weird but I like his hair. I bet B2/W2 will be really awesome.
