This is a game with the main pokémon RPG mechanics for the Game Boy/Nintendo DS, but with a different approach on Pokémon Island. There is a new concept of linearity for the franchise because almost nothing is essential to move forward, but still there are many challenges.
- National Dex with 649 pokémon from generation 5 open from the start! All are available and if you don't delete pokémon then you can have as many copies as you want for each pokémon specie.
- No GYMs or E4! Instead of them there is the Colosseum.
- 8 Characters to choose.
- Moves until generation 5 with some modifications in the last two generations. There is the Physical/Special division.
- Abilities until generation 3.
- A large majority of the items until generation 4 present and functional.
- Graphics from generation 3 (except battle sprites).
- No HMs!
- Only one screen.
- There is no real time clock system.
Previously the Pokémon Island was a island only of pokémon. There were very few people, most researchers like the notable professor Oak who studied the pokémon on island. However, three years ago has been proven the existence of pokémon Mew on the island.
Because this was a very rare pokémon, this attracted a crowd with many trainers who sought Mew, so the island was filled with trainers.
Many of them were very skilled and famous, others came in this island to challenge them, the island soon became a great meeting point for battles which led to the creation of many tournaments which also brought many viewers.
Many things happened in the last three years, has created a great battle place : The Colosseum and the trainers were classified according the victories there. Those who won many tournaments and had a high Rank and with this gain various kinds of exclusive treatment like better items, pok´rmon, locations, services, etc...
Many new pokémon were discovered on the island, others were released by other trainers, and some even went to stores. Most were discovered by explorers living in places never visited before. Some places are created to increase the diversity of pokémon that grew more and more.
And this is the story of this place, Pokémon Island.
This is the city of Pokémon Island and where you reside. See below for the very important places.
Some were made using the Poccil systems with minor modifications as the Pokémon Market that I just had to choose the items sold and when they are available and the Pokémon Day-Care that I put both attendants together, the Rank restriction, communicator and panel. Others were made by me as the Colosseum and Pokémon Shop. Virtually every use events interspersed with scripts.
-Colosseum
Main challenge of the game, here is where the action happens without ado. Just choose a Rank for faces five rounds of trainers. When you win you earn the prize money and other Ranks will be available with trainers better than the last, and always providing a challenge to satisfy even the best players. As you proceed with your Rank, many services become available as the places in Teleport Station, buy more things in various shops, Pokémon Day-Care, etc ...
-Teleport Station
Around here you can access all sites with wild pokémon on the island like the beach and the plains. At each location there are two portals, one where you entered and other hidden, if you can get to the hidden you receive an award. Along the way, besides wild pokémon there are items scattered and trainers seeking battles that will be obstacles in your journey. Any trainer can be challenged for a rematch. Despite visiting these places bring a number of advantages in the adventure that is not essential and you can even complete the game without using the station.
-Research and Development Center
This is the famous Professor Oak's lab where he evaluates the your Pokédex performance. This is where you can choose your starter from the nine available, the ones from regions of Johto, Sinnoh and Unova. Besides being the place where you can get the starter have a machine that can resurrect pokémon fossilized consuming certain items. There is also a researcher who tells you where to find some pokémon that you didn't catch.
-Pokémon Center
Like all pokémon game, here you fully recover your team without paying anything.
-Pokémon Market
Traditional shop, but with hundreds of items for sale. However for many it is necessary a specific Rank. Some examples of items sold: Great Ball, Repel, Super Potion, Iron, X Speed, Power Belt, Choice Band, King's Rock Leftovers, TM102, Shiny Stone, Stone Link, Moon Shard, etc...
-Rarity Shop
In this store there is only one item in the inventory of each type, this is because the goods traded are very rare and expensive items, leaving the player to decide if they are worth the amount invested. Some examples of items sold: Town Map, Blue Flute, Unova Crown, Bicycle, Launch, Lucky Egg, Master Ball, etc...
-Pokémon Shop
The Pokémon commerce in Pokémon Island is a widespread activity. The species are separated by a region that supposedly belong to, but many are only available for high Rank trainers. Many pokémon can only be obtained here, so keep your eye!
-Local Trade Station
Here you can trade certain species of Pokémon by others, many not found on the island. There is a large list of over 40 trade proposals.
-Berry Orchard
Since there is no system internal clock so you can get berries here. For a small fee you make a subscription that allows you to receive five berries in this place from time to time. There is promotion when renew the subscription. Some berries are rarer than others.
-Arena
On your adventure you don't encounter only one or two rivals, but even five, and, except for the principal are all chosen randomly when you start the game. Like most of the adventure, here is optional and you can fight as many times as you like versus each one.
-Pokémon Day-Care
For a small fee you can leave your pokémon for gain experience in this place. Up to two pokémon can remain on this place at the same time and when leaving certain pokémon together something special can happen.
-Pokémon Storage
This game is where you have access to the box where are the pokémon that aren't the six from your party. Problems with space ends because here there are 80 boxes and each can have 30 pokémon, meaning you can store in this space by 2400 pokémon! You can store all species 3 times and still have room! I wanna see someone fill it!
-Double Colosseum
Colosseum parallel to the traditional, but with double battles. Very useful for trainers who prefer battles using two pokémon at a time. It has its own Rank system with letters to not be confused with the traditional Rank that uses numbers. There are other differences as the prizes are in the form of items.
In addition to the places detailed above there are many other things that I added in the game, especially the Unova pokémon that were added through a package that I created, also noted for generations 3, 4 and 5 trainers presents including generation 4/5 TMs and Move Tutors resulting in over 150 TMs.
There are also various systems common to games like Pokémon Pokédex Status screen, Name Rater, bag items, Trainer Card, etc.. that comes with the of Starter Kit Pokémon Essentials that I don't list them here, even some with minor interface modifications as the Trainers Card and Pokédex and other adaptations to the game like Pickup list and hidden items (ItemFinder). There are also many secret systems that are only available later in the game, they will not be described here. Besides all this I will list below some of my own systems.
-Characters selection
Instead of being limited to two characters (a boy and a girl), here you can choose from several what you more like.
-New berries system
Besides Berry Orchard you may also obtain several of them in this random berries encounter system that I created in the forest. It uses a system similar to Berry Orchard.
-Expanded Options
A lot of things can be customizable in this game. Be the common on series as the text speed, frame, the Starter Kit common ones like the font, screen size, and several that I put personally like HP bars speed, run automatically, border, text and HP box color, status screen color, pokédex color, battle background, music (wild pokémon battle, bike and surf) and language.
-Link Stone
In this game I would to strictly follow the pokémon evolutionary systems, but how to do with pokémon that only evolve traded holding an item if the game is single player only and has no trade? For this I created an item called Link Stone which is the equivalent of a trade, so you can train your Geodude, Clamperl or Karrablast without problems that they can reach to the last stage.
-Unova Crown
The pokémon from generation 5, with respect to the other, are TOO slow to evolve. The Klink, for example, evolves into an intermediate form only at level 38, level that most pokémon already reached the last stage of evolution. Consider also that Klink is a pokémon that can be caught early in the game. Unbalanced, no? To solve this problem I came up with the Unova Crown, hold item which reduces the all Unova pokémon required level of evolution up to 15! The best is that it doesn't disappear after being used, then only one have a power for use in an entire team.
-Different eggs
Eggs are all equal in the Pokémon games, sometimes even causing confusion. Here the eggs are different colors depending on the pokémon egg group that is within each one.
-DayCare Sight
This item allows you, anywhere know how your pokémon are in Pokémon Day-Care. It's like the DPP Day-Care Checker, only in one screen.
-Pokémon compatible in TM stores
While choosing the TMs with the Pokémon Market sellers that selling such items you can see which pokémon in your party can learn them. Choosing the right TM is now much more practical.
-Create berry juice
Besides selling is a cook who uses any berry plus $50 for making juices that can be very useful in battle.
-Elevator System
There is a simple elevator system for the Pokémon Shop and Pokémon Markett.
I was tired of gyms scheme based on types of portable games, even admiring the GYM Leader figure, so here I wanted to create an unique approach to a pokémon game trying to make the game unique.
In the pokémon main series RPG have a high level of customization, diversity and complexity of mechanics, namely, there are hundreds and hundreds of pokémon and moves to pick and fight, not to mention it all Abilities and items, so wanted to create a game with the focus to make good use of all of this while maintaining a constant challenge and without having to stop for the cliché of "save the world from apocalypse once again during the search for be the best." One advantage is that you don't spend hours and hours watching the story while want to explore the caves and build your team. It is very little required text in the game and it's practically at the beginning, but don't think the game has a few lines! There is much talk in the city!
I also intended to further increase the freedom that an RPG already allows creating an environment where almost nothing is essential, everything depends on the player. It is an interesting approach because in exploration I wanted to emphasize the journey, not the destination.
The game takes inspiration from the original RBY in the legendary "seek to be the very best" and "catch all". At some points I used its simplicity concept and from other pioneers games such as the first Final Fantasies and Zelda, what matters is the fun.
This game was made to please everyone, expert and first-timers. The Colosseum scheme helps a lot this, experienced can go right to challenge various Ranks without having to go to many places while for beginners will be very necessary to explore and so prepare your pokémon for the challenges, but will be necessary a lot of strategy to reach in end.
From the beginning I could have used the generation 4 graphics, but I not used for 3 reasons:
I had VERY more generation 3 graphics than generation 4 ones, at least at the time.
2-The game has great influence of the initial Kanto journey, so I wanted to leave the graphics and thereby to maintain the FrLg climate.
3-I prefer generation 3 graphics than generation 4 ones.
No many custom graphics were used because the official ones fulfill their roles well.
This game format has its advantages and disadvantages, but it fulfills its purpose: to be different.
As the possibilities number is very high in this game is propitious to start a new game, but with a different team. The game can only have one save at a time, however you can make as many copies of the game folder you want (or your HD can hold) to have multiple saves!
The game has 649 pokémon and was done with them all in mind, but if you just like the old pokémon then just use them! You can build a team with only the first 151 pokémon only on the beach.
In the music I selected several songs from various pokémon games to compose the soundtrack, especially the battles that the soundtrack is about 5 times more varied than the official games. The soundtrack is also composed songs and remixes of other series.
There is no internal clock in the game, in the FrLg style. I understand that see some places with day or night can be interesting, but in this game type I doesn't think that is nice to have to wait some time to appear a certain pokémon or item, it will get many players changing the game clock to cheat this system. I chose to create a game that you can play everything at once if that is your wish.
There is no HMs because most players hate them as limiting the pokémon move number that you use to walk in the game. There are players who end up wasting two spaces on party to carry pokémon that are only intended to use these moves. The moves that were HMs can be found in TMs.
Here the anime doesn't exist, this mean no Ash and co. I have nothing against people who like Anime, but, like in the official games, I choice to don't put anything from Anime in this game.
Everything described so far isn't enough for me, I still have in mind to always improve the game releasing future versions (but not guarantee anything) that in addition to balancing and bug fixes will also have subtle changes like extra minigames, improvements in graphics, more items, options, etc.. And you can import your save!
As you have noticed, the generation 4 and 5 moves with more complex effects have been modified, I intend to fix this in future versions. More important are the Abilities that this game has only until the generation 3 pokémon and many ended up with none Ability.
Let me know of any suspected bug, be cutted text, grammar error, parts in portuguese when the english language is turned on (excluding Battle School books), graphics misplaced or a real error when the game closes. Explain where the bug occurred to me find it and fix it.
Those who want to help me by sending graphics, music, scripts or even ideas feel free, if I like and use you appear in the credits.
One thing I wanted to create this game is a greater characters roster, but for each character is needed not only a sprite, but one for when you're running, in bicycle, fishing, etc... I haven't so many sprites, I need especially girls, so if anyone wants to help feel free to do so.
I also have several other ideas for the game, maybe even a version with generations 4/5 graphics and fakemons?
Anyone can make a video and post here if I like. Something nice would be an exploration of the first dungeons, to give an idea of how the game is for those ones that didn't play.
You didn't read wrong, you can send me trainers who can be part of game future versions!
You can send a common trainer that only be battled once with a single team or rivals who are chosen randomly in the arena and evolve slowly, rivals are more difficult to be chosen. You can send as you like for both kinds. As rivals are random, if you have any accepted will give you a password so that when starting a new game can be sure to battle him.
The judgment is made solely by me and don't guarantee that none will be included. Also won't charging me with a new version, it will not come before 2014.
Just send the trainer name and his team, in case the rivals are the last pokémon team and may be important to do some comments as "begins with a Whismur, evolve it and then replace it with a Miltank."
There are some questions that weigh heavily in my evaluation, something that can help a lot to be chosen is to send the trainer sprite in the battle and/or outside (overworld) to be used in the game. Choose something that fits well as a trainer and not something bizarre like a robot a someone with a crazy costume. Don't pick legendary pokémon or such as rare like Mewtwo and Dragonite.
To rival avoid repeating types, but repeating a type one time or another is ok. For common trainers you can repeat all that you want. For rivals always be six pokémon, for common trainers are good to use 2 to 4.
Let me give you a good and a bad example, both rivals:
-Bad
Joe, Metwo, Xato, Beheeyem, Dragonight, Alakazam
For starters it's all very confusing, it looks as if Joe is a pokémon and not a trainer. Mewtwo is legendary and as rare as Dragonite, so both can't be used. Notice what one pokémon is missing and there was five types repetitions.
-Good
Name: Joe
Team: Unfezant, Ampharos, Rhyperior, Exeggutor, Arcanine and Gyarados.
Comments: Start with a Pidove and a Rattata that evolves and it is removed from the team.
There is only a type repetition and none invalid pokémon.
Note: Trainer comments are totally optional
All screens are the topic of version 1.0 except for the title screen, Berry Orchard, Character selection, Unova Crown, different eggs and pokémon compatible in TM stores.

The current version is 1.1f and you can import your save if you have a previous version. To do this you simply save in the Pokémon Center (if the 1.0c or earlier) copy the file from the game folder "Game.rxdata" from the previous version to the new. Those who already have the older version should upgrade? Judge the advantages described in history and decide whether it is worth the download.
Download for only
ONE of the urls, both are the same game but with another host and compression format (if your computer doesn't open rar picks the zip).
It is not necessary an emulator because it is a game and NOT a Hack Rom. Also RTP is not required, just download, unzip and play.
