Chili does indeed get Emboar as a member of his secondary team, replacing Magmortar (according to Serebii).

Also, I might be the only one who feels this way, but the retro Gym Leaders (Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh) look slightly out of place with 5th gen pokes. Just my opinion, but to me Unova pokemon don't suit them (e.g. Misty with Jellicent and Sabrina with Sigilyph).

Actually Chili's team is posted backwards, the items on the team with Emboar are the same as Cilan and Crest's Primary team. Magmorter replaces Emboar.

And I kinda disagree with a few of them, I can see Misty with Jelliscent. Its practically a giant Pringles floaty perfect for her pool. XD

Sigilyph for Sabrina makes sense too. Nazca lines are said to hold incredible power within like stonehenge and the other seven wonders, for an occult trainer like Sabrina its pretty well fitting.

Elesa with Stunfisk however is WTF worthy. It is no way an appealing Pokemon for a top class Model to have....

Blain with Random Rotom Heat. What?

Wattson with Washer Rotom?! What? THEN trades out for the Pompom Rabbit twins....LAME

All three Rock Gym Leaders have a Relicanth...WTH?! Much better choices than Relicanth.

Volkner has Fan Rotom and then Normal Rotom....Why? I know its electric but why two different forms and why Fan?

I think they picked fan because it's like wind power and Volkner's home town uses renewable energy (it's solar though but still) at least that's my take.
...well Relicanth is a live fossil and the rock gym leaders have some link to fossils though tbh they could've picked better fossil based Pokémon...
Also is it me or do a lot of trainers seem to have the bird fossil Pokémon?

Well Xander, I was kinda disappointed with most of the teams.

Cheren with a Castform? What were they thinking?

Tauros doesn't really suit Whitney since she mostly uses feminine-looking Pokemon. Well, she still has some feminine-looking Normal-types (Wigglytuff, Clefable, Blissey, Ambipom, Lopunny and the obvious Miltank)

Also, most of the Water, Fire and Grass specialists have a fully-evolved starter from their region on their team. Red has all the Kanto starters plus his obvious Pikachu. Maylene even has an Infernape.

And I totally agree on the whole Rock Gym Leader with Relicanth thing... there are much better Rock-types than that.

Another disappointment was all the Dragon and Ice Gym Leaders' two teams having the exact same Pokemon. Not to mention that all the Ghost Gym Leaders have both their teams with an almost identical lineup except one Pokemon.

I actually quite like the POkemon selection. none of them are super stereotypical, and each pretty much suit the trainer that owns them.

Castform being with Cheren is neat. Castform was made by humans, and with Cheren being obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge he pretty much fits being a Castform trainer.

Tauros may be a bit manly for Whitney, but then again, her anime counterpart is pretty butch herself, and Whitney finally learns how to toughen up a bit after you defeat her in HG/SS. Maybe her getting tough is the reason why she got a rough, gruff Tauros.

I quite like the Fire, Water, and Grass specialists having a starter from their hometown region. It's like an ode to their home, and almost as a little gesture that they too started with the three starters (though that may not be the case, it's still a cute gesture).

Plus, their aren't that many Dragon, Ice, or Ghost type Pokemon. It'd be hard for them to give each person a somewhat unique team without ALL of the teams being the exact same thing.

They sure do a good job with the movesets. They have a counter for everything. I really love the challenge in it.

Does anyone know if this is the best source for BP though? I only get about 1-2 each time, and those Choice items aren't cheap.

I'm glad to see the starters being used by the trainers, it's kind of sad though that none of the Johto starters appear for obvious reasons.
I love the Hoenn champs' teams too and am glad to see Cynthia's team mostly being the same as her old team.

Those movesets are insanely good. Like, this is probably the best I've seen ever. Hopefully the AI matches the moves because the potential skill these characters could have is RIDICULOUS. Like, it doesn't look like anyone will be very easy.

Well if challenge mode also increases the AI of the tournament than I imagine it'll be quite a challenge but I'm ready to take it on

Even though the gym leaders don't have the same Pokemon in the previous versions, this feature will be really cool and will probably square this off to be the best Pokemon game yet!

Play World Leaders in Double/Triple/Rotation mode. In World Leaders and Champions's modes, you get BPs equal to this equation: 3 * number of your chosen Pokémon - number of your fainted Pokémon.
I suggested Double/Triple/Rotation because you choose 4 instead of 3 Pokémon.
And I must add that World Leaders are easier than the Region Leaders even though it's kinda weird :D
Or if you don't feel confident, have some BPs in Battle Subway and buy Choices there

Oh okay, thanks :D

And the AI is very good. Only thing they still don't do is switch out unless they literally can't do a thing to you, but their moveset pools allow them do dish out something to ya. I also like how they have different sets of hold items too.

Glad to hear that they can dishout some damage.
I see since Latias isn't allowed than the birds, regis, etc. proably aren't either.

Hell. That just means these guys are going to be stupid strong. Which I like, actually. Hopefully Challenge Mode doesn't improve the AI, then I don't think I'd ever be able to beat them! -is a terrible competitive battler-
I do have to admit though, some of the Pokemon used by the Leaders are quite odd. Like, I have to admit Castform on Cheren is a bit out there, even though it is created by intelligence and whatnot.

All in all, I'm actually extremely happy they included this feature. It gives everyone who wanted rematches a chance to not only have a rematch against their favorite B2W2 Leader, but also the original BW Leaders as well. It pays a decent amount of attention to the nostalgia seekers in the sense that it brings back the Kanto, Johto, and even the Hoenn Gym League, and even upgrades each other their teams, while keeping their main Pokemon in tact.

I love how good their movesets are and how powerful they are. Finally there is some good challenge. At least most of the trainers there have teams with a common type so I can take advantage of that.

Don't forget Sinnoh gym leader (yes some of us are nostalgic of Sinnoh).

I love a great challenge, finally a place to put my ev'd Pokémon to the test.

@Magmaruby: Regirock can, Heatran can, Sacred Swordsmans can enter, even Cresselia is eligible!
And Rotom can also enter but any other legendary Pokémon seems to banned even Vicitini and Meloetta are banned.
But it seems the problem with Latias was Soul Dew. So Latie can enter :D
And now it seems that different tournaments allow other Pokémon... Isshu Leaders allow Victini and Meloetta but World Leaders don't.

That's really interesting...
I assumed some legendaries were okay since they've always been allowed in the Frontier. Already know ones like Zekrom are banned, but Zapdos and others that aren't nearly as broken should be fine as they can be taken out just as fast as normal Pokemon.

I think the World Tourney is a great idea, not only is it competitive battling but it returns previous champions, even though some pokemon are unsuitable (like Floatzel with Cress) i'm already scared of that Choice banded Azumarill!

Ah I see. How interesting that Victini can enter though, small legendaries like it haven't been allowed in a battle facility since Mew and Celebi in gen 2.

Really love the idea of having a pool of pokemon to pick, so it's not the usual xxx always has the same team. Makes things more dynamic.

I notice his pokemon consists of lake/freshwater pokemon, in contrast to Shizui/Marlon's ocean-based team. (except Samurott, but he's just goign with the starters to those gym leader thing with the rest of his brothers)

Mostly happy with most teams although I wish there were more of a pool to choose from or have better picks. Some thoughts if there were team changes/more of a pool to choose from (put in spoiler for a bit of random rambling xD):

Spoiler:
-Cilan should have had a Sawsbuck, would really fit him as a classy pokemon that's more for a male Grass type specialist, though his gentle nature does fit with the fairy grass types. (which is why i wish there was more of a pool to choose from). Also randomly interesting is the other half of his team are associated with thorns/spikes- Simisage's tail, Ferrothorn and Maractus.

-I have a problem with Cress's Seismitoad purely for the fact he seems ugly for someone like Cress. But I get Tympole is a freshwater pokemon and location wise is near enough to Striaton. I'd prefer Politoed, Ludicolo or Quagsire for a half Ground type.

-Strangely too much fossil repeats, especially that Relicanth. Also no one uses Gigalith :( I feel it would have fit with Roark (drop the Onix, Brock has an excuse because its his signature) or Roxanne (similar body type to Probopass and the gem thing goes well with a female Rock leader). Also it would be a nice nod to the anime if Brock had the Sudowoodo instead of Roark- seems to fit him better. Roark can have Tyranitar again, you can find it an adjacent route post-game in DPPt.

-Roxie's Koffing/Weezing disappeared! Well mainly because it's more of a Janine pokemon now but if there was more of a selection it would have been feasible.

-Kangaskhan is perfect for Lenora. Also love her Braviary and Cincinno I could see helping her clean the museum/fossils :P

-Elesa and her Stunfisk are lolworthy- maybe it shows she also believes in inner beauty to contrast her job? XD

I love it introduces diversity type-wise but I think Wattson/Surge's trap enthusiasms would fit Stunfisk better if any :P Pachirisu would fit better if the whole type diversity thing didn't have to come to effect.

-Wish Skyla kept her Skarmory on at least one team, fits with the Jet theme although maybe it's to set her apart from Winona. Flavour-wise Pelipper would be nice for the delivery theme with her job, although with Swanna would be even more crippling to Electrics.

-Wish Abomasnow would be added as another option for Brycen, just to add team strength and maybe have a Stallrein combo. Also I feel Glalie would fit him better than Dewgong.

-Even if Swampert isn't really ocean/sea themed, I think he would go well with Shizui's swimmer design.

-Good to see Brock finally having stronger pokemon like Tyranitar and Rhyperior.

-Milotic was a nice addition to Misty in HGSS, although I guess with Wallace, he takes priority. Flavour-wise Lumineon would work with her, Juan or Wallace (seems like an elegant/contest-like pokemon).

-Erika with an Abomasnow is just strange- it could work if it didn't have Snow Warning, I like the idea of her taking care of a cute Snover. Cradily is even more out of place, I'd put either Ludicolo or Shiftry to go with the Japanese Geisha look.

-Great to see Arbok and Nidoqueen represented by Janine. Roserade is also a nice and different touch.

-Finally Flareon gets to be represented by a gym leader- Blaine. I love he has a Rotom haha. If he had a Houndoom it would be nice since his team is mostly flame mammals :)

-I would like the idea of Falkner having all regional birds, Staraptor works well design wise since they have the saim hair :p. Love he has a Dodrio now and Aerodactyl and Crobat are a bit out of place but at least they bring diversity and power so I can look past that.

-Although awesome diversity wise, I feel Chandelure doesn't fit with Morty- feels too European/Baroque I guess- would fit more with Fantina (but the will-o-wisp = Japanese = Ecruteak connection is sort of there).

Drifblim would be a better choice to go with his new look (and scarf) but it makes more sense with Fantina as it's her primary design counterpart.

-I think Abomasnow fits Pryce more than Jynx although location-wise with the Ice Path makes sense. If Candice had additional members, Jynx and Vanilluxe could work.

-I think a Ninetales or Rapidash would fit Flannery if she had more members.

-A Tauros or Ursaring would fit Norman well- I just like the idea of him bringing out a Tauros then Bouffalant XD. Zangoose is awesome though.

-Honchkrow seems a bit too dark for Winona. Dragonite or Noctowl from her Emerald rematch team would fit better. Togekiss also works.

-Hitmontop would suit Maylene again if she had additional members, I think of Maylene as acrobatic compared to the other Fighting specialists.

-Out of all the Electric specialists, Lanturn would be nice for Volkner with the whole coastal city with a lighthouse theme.

-Flavour-wise, Sharpedo seems a bit...aggressive for Wallace, Gyarados would fit more like Emerald if he needed something intimidating and champion-like- it fits as counterparts to Milotic. Additionally, I would think a Swanna/Jellicent/Empoleon/Mantine would also fit better- even if he had more of pool of pokemon to choose from.

-Finally give Alder some of his old team back. New additions are welcome but seem strange without them since aside from Volcarona, there's not much of a connection to when he was champion in BW. But could also be the fact Bouffalant is used a lot and Burgh gets the other two bugs.

^ I wonder why half of Alder's team was replaced, sure it wasn't the strongest team but still. Cynthia seems to be the only one who has a team made out of Pokemon she actually had as champ (I think Lance might too though).

Actually, both Lance and Cynthia have made changes to their team. Lance's being more major, while Cynthia just replaced Milotic with a Glaceon. To be honest, I'm happy with the new changes with the Champions. It's a new region, new time, new place, so of course they must have had a chance to train and raise new Pokemon!
