Okay, you have joined. Have fun around here!

Remember, you can get access to more Fire Types through some events.

Answering the topic:

Well, Fire-Types are just one of the BOSS Types of the game, and they're very awesome. On the con side, However, in Sinnoh, you only get the Chimchar line and the Ponyta line, both of which aren't my favourite in my opinion. Also, they don't prove to be very useful unless you have one with Dragon Pulse so it would PWN Cynthia. However, overall, Fire is a very strong Type, and now most of them can learn Solarbeam, so it's weaknesses are all nothing now. Plus Fire can deal Quintuple Damage.

Oh yeah, thanks.

You can join, but there's one problem: One of your chosen Pokemon must be un-evolved.

On the Current Topic:

I agree that the Tepig line is just weak, and that they went overboard with the Fire-Fighting combination.

Why do you like Fire-Types?: Fire-Types, in my honest opinion are the best choice for battling due to their pure strength and also when trained right, can easily destroy any opponent.

In reply to the current topic: I actually don't have a strategy or anything for finding Fire-Types as I run into them randomly, but there are no Fire-Types yet that I do not like.

Okay, you're in!

Answering your question, the contribution is basically ideas that get accepted. Which means, any event idea to do with Fire Types are allowed.

Answering The Current Topic:

Blaine was quite a cool Fire Type Specialist, who did have some GOOD Fire Type Pokemon. Have a look at the Flint you have in D/P, many Pokemon he has aren't actually Fire-type. Luckily they did solve the "Pokemon" problem in Platinum, but he's still not MUCH of a challenge. The only thing that did trouble me once was his Infernape's Thunder-punch. Basically I had Infernape too, and I like to do same Species battles, and despite having loads of Infernape's HP go, I just let it spam Thunder-Punches and Close Combats. As for Blaine, he always actually had a variety. Even though I like Flint's personality better, Blaine is actually the best out of the two in my opinion.

Well, maybe many people would know Blaine (Since he's appeared in FOUR Generations) and they probably would know about Flint (Why didn't they name him with a Fiery name, NOT a mineral?).

Well that's just my bit on the side. Any other opinions, remember, are allowed, so don't be afraid to share your opinions!

Well, to be honest, I haven't played DPPlt in a while, so I kinda forgot. But, I do know that Flint can be a challenge when your best pokemon is a grass type.

Out of that series of games, I mostly play Platinum, so I found Flint semi-difficult.

We will bring that topic on soon, but basically we're comparing Blaine and Flint right now.

@U Shivam: Indeed they did solve his Pokemon Problem somewhat in Pokemon Platinum, since they brought Pokemon such as Houndour into Sinnoh, and now there's more choice for Fire Types.

That was pretty much one of the things I disliked about D/P/Platinum. Just when you enter the door to the hyper Flint, after Rapidash and Infernape, you find out that some of his Pokemon aren't Fire Types (Especially Steelix, who is WEAK to Fire). He had a good personality, but he just dissapointed me because of a lack of Fire-Types. However, that could be understandable, since Sinnoh IS quite a cold region (Because of only two lines of them in D/P).

You can join, but one of your Pokemon must be unevolved, sorry for the inconvenience.

New Topic: If you had to have a Non-Legendary Fire Type in your ultimate Team, what would it be and why?

Non-Legends? I think I would have any starter, Arcanine, Houndoom, or Darmanitan.

Red, you now have stars around your name on the Member List! These can be used for decoration, and you can colour the stars anything you want! Also, you can ask me to take them off at any time.

On the Current Topic: I usually think I should have Typhlosion, Charizard or Arcanine since they're pretty much all my favourite Fire Types, and since they could now PWN stuff that it used to be weak against.

You now have stars around your name in the Members List. You can request a change of colour at any time.

Basically, back on topic, many Fire Types now learn Solarbeam, or Grass Knot. Then, they're now able to learn Dragon Pulse, so they can defeat everything quite easily. Dual Steel/Rock Types are still nothing, since they usually have high Defense and not high Sp. Defense.

New topic?
What do you think of the changing of fire types over the generations?
I think The fire type themes have been running dry, and I think my favorite fire types were from gen 1 and 3.

Congratulations, your new topic is accepted!

On the Current Topic: There are always good Fire-Types here and there. But, in Pokemon Pearl/Diamond, they only had two lines of Fire-Type Pokemon, which dissapointed me greatly because of my liking for Fire Types. In Gen I and II, their starters, and other Pokemon such as Arcanine and Ho-Oh, they're just awesome. Volcarona proves that it is pretty much the only useful Bug-Type due to it being Part Fire. The Fire Starter of Gen V, however, also dissapointed me greatly because of the Tepig line being based off a pig while Snivy would have an even better place as Fire-Type. Houndoom, Magmortar, Charizard and Typhlosion also prove to be useful/fun picks.

Current topic
Personally, I like pretty much every gen 1-4 fire type, except for the slugma line, the camerupt line, and torkoal.
New event idea
We should have a Christmas event where we could maybe hold contests for points, such as the contest halls in Hoenn and Sinnoh. Also, celebrating for all! There could be some give aways and such.
