Appearance: He stands at 5' 11" tall, with a slight build to his body. Dark brown hair, green eyes, wears glasses. Usually seen wearing sleeveless shirts, black jeans, and black boots.

Personality: Quiet and shy at first, but will warm up to others quickly. Eager to do new things and tries to keep smiling, even when times are tough. Typically thick-skinned, but when angered, he is hard to calm down sometimes. Loyal to his friends and pampers his pokemon once in a while. Loves having fun, but will switch to seriousness when nescessary (sometimes without any warning) . Still naive about some things pertaining to pokemon and life. DO NOT talk about his parents!

History: Born and raised in Lacunosa Town, though he and his parents travelled all over, even to other regions. During one of these trips, he discovered his first pokemon in the Sinnoh region. His father helped him catch his first pokemon and it quickly became his best friend. He seemed to have found his purpose: becoming a pokemon trainer. He captured his first pokemon by himself on Route 228 and was ecstatic with his feat. During this time, his curiousity encouraged him to break his curfew a few times, wanting to see the "monster" for himself, but was disappointed when there was nothing to see. His last adventure led to him capturing his third pokemon close to Opelucid City, where he saw his first crush: Skyla, who was visiting the town for the day. He stayed in town, talking to her for hours, not paying attention to the time. He raced home as quick as he could, but as he walked in the house, no one was there. He searched high and low for days, but could not find his parents. Where did they go? One day, when the letter came in the mail for the Pokemon Training Academy, he asked the elderly mayor of the town for help. His parents were nowhere to be found and no one knew where they went. Shawn decided to go to the academy to get stronger and find his parents. The mayor, seeing his determination, had his Alakazam teleport him and his belongings to the front gate, out of anyone's way. (This is where I will start my rp from.)

Shawn's first pokemon he ever caught. Loyal to his trainer and always ready for a battle. He is only in his pokeball when travelling; otherwise, he skitters alongside everywhere.

Level 17

Shawn's second pokemon, and the first on his own. He will fight when prompted to, but usually is relaxed. Timid around new people and ocassionally stumbles when walking. Only in pokeball when travelling.

Shawn's third pokemon caught. Never enters her pokeball, for she glides around nearby, keeping watch over him. She swoops down when Shawn is hard-pressed in battle. Sometimes settles on his shoulder when tired.

Okay, I'm ready to return! The last time I posted, I had Megan chill at the Teacher's Lounge, Danielle chilling outside but fell asleep to take a nap, and Drew was on his way back to the dorms. I never really had him stay at a certain place, so I'll have him start off at his dorm waking up at a nap. All three characters are free to be interacted so VM me if you'd like to do that in advance!

@Everyone: I just heavily updated the "Available Classes" spoiler on the first page. (It is now known as NPC Classes) It had not been updated since... forever, really. I don't think I've really maintained that spoiler since the RP was handed down to me way back when.

A lot of classes have been added. Every type now has a specialist. (Though I had qualms about adding a dark-type specialist, because as you may or may not know... dark types and their trainers tend to be horrible role models. I wound up ignoring this and adding Grimsley, who is /still/ a HORRIBLE role model.) The 3rd Gen teachers have been updated with their BW2 sprites. OC trainers have been removed and replaced.

Some teachers have gotten new jobs. Some teachers have had their jobs changed. One or two lost one of their classes to another teacher.

More BW/BW2 teachers have been added. Alternative teachers have been added for certain jobs. I recommend everyone give it a brief pass over if you're remotely interested, because you're allowed to request I give you a class (I do not garuantee you will get this class however.) and you're allowed to visit these teachers for help after class.

Quick question though: Can we use them as NPCs? Or do we have to wait for a certain amount of players to join me so we can be assigned to an NPC class?

@Leaf Storm: Yes, you're allowed to use NPC teachers freely assuming they aren't already being used. You can even choose to apply for an NPC teacher and take them up as your teacher character so that only you can use them. Alternatively, you can use them on and off as you feel fit without applying. (You can even have an NPC teacher go interact away from your characters.)

Just be careful to avoid doing something /completely/ out of character. If I see Cynthia acting like a jerk or Grimsley pretending to be misunderstood I might have to jump in and put a stop to that.

The exception is champions, who you need permission to control, but only if they're going to be battling. (I am worried about Pokemon Mythology, as that class is hard to teach.)

If you're ever in doubt about a certain character's actions, bring it to me.

@Everyone: On a related note, I attempted to give characters fitting roles more deeply appropriate to their personality and skils. For instance, /nobody/ has more right to be teaching Pokemon Mythology than Cynthia. (She is like the Pokemon version of Indiana Jones combined with Tony Stark except female, I swear!) Clair is also a good deal stronger than your average gym leader in lore. (Though whether she should've been made a General Expert like the champions is up for debate~ Perhaps you'll seek out answers IC!) The four therapist teachers were chosen all for different reasons related to their personalities as well. I restricted myself purely to game and anime knowledge, demonstrated by the fact that Pryce even works at the school.

I'd say something similar about the day of the week, but as a matter of fact this particular day is special. Today is Thanksgiving in the RP. I generally say something in the OOC when it's a holiday.

A (very small) explosion just went off in Oak Town, a baby Pineco used Self Destruct. No damage to the town or injured people, just some singed eyebrows and bruised ego's, but people can feel free to be drawn to the explosion if they're looking for something to do.
