Worst Shiny Experience

The only bad shiny experience I've had is a relatively common one - encountering a shiny Geodude, then watching it blow itself up.

I've only ever seen one shiny, and I caught it... so I haven't really had any bad experiences. It was a pidgey in Crystal though, so I guess it sucks that I can't use it in any current games.

Well I once cought a shiny geodude in Pokémon Emarald and I cought another shiny in HG but it was a spearow .
I liked the geodude but I hate spearows .

My worst experience is when I soft resetted on a shiny giratina after wasting days hunting for it. Another one would be when I encountered a Shiny Hoppip on Crystal while I had no Pokedex.

I found a shiny Poochyena once...but it was the uncatchable one at the beginning of Ruby version.

My worst experience was finding a shiny Electrike in Ruby, which didn't get captured in my only great ball. Made me sooo angry. I also kind of liked Manectric back then, so it was really sad.

Probably finding a shiny Zigzagoon, but thinking it was normal, and just running. Worst mistake I ever made. Tears are shed from the memory.

The first shiny I found in B/W was the Patrat Prof.Juniper caught at the first route.

I caught a legit shiny Numel on Emerald, but I'd already cheated for a full team of shiny legendaries...
Kind of ruined the legitimacy of it all, and I never used it

I've never had any bad shiny experiences.
...Of course, to have a bad shiny experience, you actually have to have a shiny experience...

My dad's girlfriend got her first pokemon game a week ago.
I was SO expecting her to find a shiny and not catch it.

She did, however, catch loads of Purrloins and yesterday say to me "I didn't know you had to train your pokemon. I thought you just caught them."

Wandering around on Diamond version. I was on that route between Jubilife and Oreburgh (ahaha probably spelled those wrong because I don't pay enough attention). Then boom encountered my first shiny.

A Bidoof.

I didn't really care but caught it anyway. Then forgot I had him/her and deleted the save file. x: Lost my first shiny darn it.

I have not encountered a shiny since Gen 2 Days....
The one Shiny I have seen was in Fire red but it was one of the Battle Tower trainer's Meowths

Although this is not something that happened to me personally, I would still count this as a "bad shiny experience"

A friend of mine was playing one of the Core Gen 3 Games (I can't remember which one of the top of my head) and managed to catch a shiny Electrike. His friend though it would be absolutely hilarious to rip the Gameboy out of his hands, and shut the game off before he had a chance to save it. He hasn't even encountered a Shiny since.

The one that got away. :'( Encountered a shiny Lillipup at the beginning of a new game I started on my White version and only had 3 poke balls at the time. I was too scared to actually damage it, and wasn't able to catch it in 3 tries and failed.

Luckily a shiny Gothita I encountered last month made up for that, lol.

I wish I could remember the generation (I think it was II) or the Pokemon, but the first shiny I saw I didn't know what was going on. It was a weak Pokemon that I had already caught for my Pokedex. Since I didn't realize what a shiny Pokemon was...I just killed it and took the experience. You can imagine how I felt when I realized what a shiny was.

I lol'd at the Combee one. Not at your misfortune, but just how unlucky that circumstance is.

The only bad experience with a shiny that I ever had was in Ruby, I ran into a green Golbat while grinding my Crobat. Low and behold, nothing to catch it with.

My worst shiney moment was tryna catch the silver rattatta in pokemon gold (original) off pallet town it was level 5 yet breaking out of all the poke balls and all if my pokemon were too strong to hit it

My worst moment would have to be when I found a shiny mienfoo. I had been hunting for days at Dragonspiral tower, and had looked away... and saw the blue pokemon...

As I was running away. I checked my pokedex to confirm it, and sure enough, I had missed it :(

Fled from a shiny Sableye in Sapphire, a shiny Shellder in FireRed and a shiny Machop in LeafGreen.

I'm not sure if this counts, but I ALMOST ran away from a shiny Unown in my Ruby Destiny Reign of Legends ROM. I still shiver at the thought that I was about press B on 'RUN' before I realized that the Unown was blue.

I have the worst past with shinies.I can usually can catch them but i forget to save for some reason.Has happened to me three times./gets shot.

When I encountered a shiny Pidove in a nuzlocke challenge, but it wasn't the first Pokemon that I saw there ;;

I almost caught it anyways, but of course the crit hax came to bite me.
