The Official Location Challenge



Hello there, everyone! I'm GreatTornado and this is the Location Challenge!

Go through the game, beat the gym leaders and the champion. Seems simple enough, right?


Wrong.


In the Location challenge your team has to be based on your...
Location.

How to figure out your team:

1. First you go on a search engine and look up what the general weather in your area will be in seven days.

2. Add all the high and low temperatures up for the next seven days, and divide them by 14. This should give you the average temperature for each day (If you get decimals just ignore them). Fun Fact: I got 34 degrees celcius(93 Fahrenheit).

3. After doing this, use the lists below to find what types are suited to the average degrees you got. Those are the types to be used in your team!

15 degrees Celcius/59 degrees Fahrenheit and below - Water, Ice, Ghost, Steel, Dark and Poison.

16 degrees Celcius/60 degrees Fahrenheit - 30 degrees Celcius/89 degrees Fahrenheit - Fighting, Rock, Grass, Ground, Bug and Normal.

31 degrees Celcius/87 degrees Fahrenheit and above - Fire, Flying, Electric, Psychic and Dragon.

Rules!

- Hacking and trading for pokemon are not allowed (except for Pokemon XD and pokemon Colosseum), there are pokemon of every type in every pokemon game, use them!

- Trading to evolve a pokemon, however, is ALLOWED.

- Pokemon that can change types (Rotom for example) are NOT allowed.

- Legendary pokemon are not allowed.

- You can only trade pokemon if you contact me first via PM.

- All main series games, Pokemon XD and Pokemon Colosseum are allowed, but it is recommended that you play on Generation 4 (Diamond and Pearl Onwards) or higher generation games because these games have a variety of pokemon available but previous ones do not.

- NFE (Not fully evolved) pokemon are optional.

- If you get a Pokemon thats pre-evolution is not a type that you received, you can use it but you must evolve it as soon as possible!
- The Challenge ends after beating the champion in your game. In pokemon XD and Colosseum, it ends when you have beaten Greevil or Evice (Depending on your version).

- One pokemon for each type! It wouldn't be a proper challenge without it.

- I understand that all teams may not be able to use all Hms, so ONE HM slave is allowed in your party at a time.

- No cheating is allowed. This includes but is not limited to: Enabling all moves to be a OHKO, making your pokemon level 100, making your pokemon have infinite health, etc.


- Other people must choose your team! This is to prevent teams that can blast through the game. If you are choosing a team for someone, please do not make it an overpowered team. The person using that team must confirm that they are using that team before starting the challenge.

I apologize, but could you switch one of those Pokemon with one I can get Pre-Gym 2. The first one that I can get legally on this team is Pienco (which evolves into Forretress of course) after Gym 2 in the Illex Forest. (Both Misdrevus and Sneasel can only be gotten in the Mt. Silver area ((Which I'm fine with, I suppose)), Qwilfish after getting to Kanto ((Super Rod is gotten on Silence Bridge)), Eevee is obtained right before Gym 4 ((Have to talk to Bill about the Time Capsule first)), and Venonat can only be captured in Bug Catching Tournaments ((Right before Gym 3)). )

Of course, if you're fine with me starting up the challenge at Illex Forest, or perhaps hacking in my first available Pokemon (Pienco) prior to the first gym, then you don't have to switch anything.

I have no idea what pokemon are in Blaze Black 2 so forgive me if any of these pokemon aren't available. You get Machamp, Roserade, Sandslash, Leavanny, Golem and Audino.

Thanks. That's a well-balanced team. The only one I would have a problem with is Leavanny, due to it being a Bug-Type, but I'll use it anyway.

Pokemon Crystal Update #1

Badges:

I thought that I might as well give a 3rd Badge update. Which, surprisingly enough, I struggled more with Falkner than with Whitney. At any rate... I chose Totodile at the start in order to use it as a cut slave and rushed through the beginning part of the game, quickly catching a Spinarak, Poliwag, and a Gastly right off the bat. I boxed my Totodile at this point and used my Spinarak to beat through Bellsprout tower. After that, I trained the other two on my team slightly. I got lucky, and my (at the time) level 8 Poliwag ended up beating his Pidgeotto. Poliwag then was able to zoom through both Slowpoke Well and Bugsy's gym. My Rival then went down without much effort.

Realizing that none of my team could learn cut, I got out Totodile and taught him cut. After getting through Ilex Forest, I stared at the Pokemon Communication Center and then put Totodile back into its box and then beat through the underground tunnel. Feeling pretty good with my levels at that point, I entered Whitney's gym and slammed through everyone with Poliwag. Whitney's Milktank was quickly finished off by Gastly's Curse and Hypnosis. With that, I grabbed my Plain Badge out of Whitney's shaking hands and saved the game.

I got every Pokemon but Jynx (Who is only out in the morning and day hours). Traded Haunter with myself to evolve him into a Gengar. Used Eevee through the whole thing to try to evolve him, but his happiness doesn't want to budge. My other guys evolved. Made quick work of each gym, and now I'm twiddling my fingers waiting for the morning (well, more like finally working on my homework that I was ignoring).

Yeah but I'm trying to beat most of the trainers with Nincada so I don't have to grind off wilds to evolve it before Brawly.

Crystal Update #3

Kanto Badges Obtained:

As I traveled to the E4, my Eevee finally evolved into an Umbreon. (Too bad that I messed up and forgot to teach it a dark type attack. Now the only thing that it can really do is take hits...) Once there, I easily defeated my rival, bought items, and finally defeated the E4 with some tough fights. Gengar was the star of this show, even if he was fairly low leveled compared to Umbreon at this time. The credits rolled, and I made my way to Kanto. Finding some difficulty with Lt. Surge at the time, I beat Sabrina first (primarily using Umbreon), then Erika (with my low leveled Jynx), Misty (with 'Recoil' the Magneton), and finally Lt. Surge with my Umbreon for the most part. I still have more badges to get, but I thought that this would be a good spot to update.

If you would like, you can replace Driftblm with Banette. I understand the difficulty of getting Drifloon due to him only being there on Friday's.
