Any competitive decks built with JUST Gen1 Pokemon?

I've started a play group at work and it's been a lot of fun :D

three of us are now playing with our own decks, and there's one person using a loner deck that I built.

He's told me he wants to build his own deck, but he wants ONLY the original 151 gen1 pokemon.

I assume, for a beginner, that he wouldn't want to drop the money on a Charizard EX, so that brings me back to good ol' Mewtwo.


Anyone have any ideas for building a Gen1 deck off mewtwo (or some other gen1?)

Uh... from the current packs, there isn't really anything competitive that uses exclusively Gen 1 Pokemon. Though there is no shortage of Gen I Pokemon to choose from. What types is he interested in using?
