I plan to finish Emerald tonight, lets hope I actually go through with it. Emerald is probably my least favorite region, tied with Sinnoh, but the farther I get with my bug types the more I'm enjoying it. Hopefully its the same for Pearl cause thats next.

My ace of this run is without a doubt Madara, my Volcarona. He may have fallen because that bloody Haxorus had a focus sash, but he carried me so hard.

Normal Monotype: Johto: Update #5

So funny story: I ended up defeating Pryce before Chuck and Jasmine.
First off, I renamed Rose to Violet
Then I caught a Miltank and Tauros, but decided on using only Miltank on my team
After Morty, I went to Olivine, and surfed to Cianwood City
I evolved Togepi and Jigglypuff
I lost to Eusine here and got the SecretPotion thing for Amphy
I returned to the Lighthouse, saved Amphy, and lost my first challenge against Jasmine
I gave up and went to the Lake of Rage, defeating the Red Gyarados
I went to Mahogany Town and did the Team Rocket events here
Then I challenged the Mahogany Town Gym

I'm surprised it was this easy. All of Pryce's Pokemon were defeated with Charm's Rollout

There's no real update here. I simply went straight to Cianwood and challenged Chuck.

Both Primeape and Poliwrath were taken down with Violet's Strength
Easy battle, and as I said, not much of an update.

I fought my way to the top of the Radio Tower and defeated Team Rocket for the final time
Flew back to Mahogany Town and continued east
Passed through Ice Cave
Arrived in Blackthorn City and challenged the Gym

Clair's Kingdra was pretty difficult...
The 3 Dragonairs were all defeated with Cream's Stomp
I had to put Kingdra to sleep so I could use Rollout on it
Kingdra fainted with Rollout

I hate Kingdras! Juan's Kingdra is the biggest troll ever to exist in all of pokemon!!! I swept through his whole team no problem, except that damn Kingdra! Took me 20 minutes to finish that thing, 20 MINUTES!! Thats like 200 turns!!!

Well anyway I'm back after beating Juan and getting my 8th badge, now off to the Elite Four!! I hope Wallace doesn't troll me as much as Juan did...

Update on Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Poison).

Update #3 on Black 2.

Went to Reversal Mountain grass, where I caught my final team member, Draken the Skorupi.
Explored the Strange House and traveled through Reversal Mountain with Bianca, training Draken up along the way.
Eventually, he evolved into Drapion!
Arrived in Undella Town and defeated Gorman there.
Explored the Bay and Route 14, and trained Portobello up to L50 as a Foongus to learn Spore, then he evolved into Amoongus!
Boxed Portobello for my Surf slave Psyduck, then took Route 13 to Lacunosa Town, where I beat Zinzolin and his Grunt partner.
Got the Fire Blast TM for Deadhead, then continued on through Route 12, the Village Bridge, and Route 11 to reach Opelucid City.
Did a little shopping and training at Shopping Mall Nine, then took on the Opelucid Gym.
Drayden wasn't too difficult although Haxorus was tough as usual.
Team Plasma tried to send Unova back to the Ice Age, and the DNA Splicers got stolen after I beat Zinzolin again.
Went after the Shadow Triad back to Undella Town, took the Marine Tunnel to Humilau City.
Trained a bit on Route 22, then took on the gym.
Marlon was easy as usual with Draken's Hone Claws+Thunder Fang combo.
Got the Colress Machine from Colress back on Route 22, then went through the Seaside Cave to the Plasma Frigate.
Got through the gates and defeated Zinzolin with Gorman's help, but they got away again.
Withdrew Portobello from the PC, chased Team Plasma to the Giant Chasm, then saved once I got back on the ship.

I made a little progress, after catching Horsea, I played Voltorb Flip(I think it's too easy) for another Ice Beam, and I saved right after beating Petrel in the Radio Tower, tomorrow I'm going to keep playing the lottery thing until I get Flash Cannon for Horsea(since it's Tuesdays lottery TM).

- Got Totodile off Elm
- Flailed like an idiot in the first gym
- Traded in Trapinch
- Defeated Bugsy after a lot of luck (Gosh Trapinch is slow)
- Got to Goldenrod and played hours of Voltorb Flip (I know how to play now! \o/)
- Got two Dratini
- Defeated Whitney
- Playing more Voltorb Flip

Hey Necrum I have a question. Will you allow Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness to be the 3rd gen game of my ultimate challenge. Although they are Spin Off games, I have the access to build a full team and not have one pokemon always with me(unlike some others like Eevee in Conquest).

That game takes place in a region other than Hoenn, and the idea is to play through all the main regions. So no, it doesn't count as 3rd gen. The list of games you can use for each region are listed in the Ultimate section of the first post.

Normal Monotype: Johto: Update #9

Lot of progress here
After Claire, I made my way to the Dragon's Den and did the Dragon Challenge thing
Afterwards, I went back to New Bark Town and surfed east into Kanto
I made my way through Tohjo Falls and through the path to Victory Road
I proceeded through Victory Road, defeating Silver
I decided I needed a 6th Pokemon, and I started to train a Tauros I had caught earlier
Challenged the Elite Four when I felt ready

Will' Pokemon were defeated with a combined effort of almost all my Pokemon
The Xatu's were taken out with Rollout
Slowbro was defeated with Drill Peck
Jynx fell to Earthquake

Koga's Pokemon were easy, Miltank solo'd him
Body Slam and Surf took out his whole team

Bruno was also really easy
Miltank's Surf took care of the Onixes
Drill Peck took down the Fighting Types

Karen was somewhat difficult
I got lucky with a few critical hits on her Umbreon and Vileplume
Houndoom was pretty easy with Earthquake

Lance was slightly difficult, he Hyper Beamed quite a bit
Rollout and Surf were miracle moves here, taking down all his Pokemon

Now I'm the Champion of Johto, huzzah. Eh.
Moving into Kanto, I defeated all gym leader with relative ease (not going to do an update for each one, that would take forever)
Did all Kanto stuff
Saved outside of Mt. Silver, training my Pokemon for Red

After training all my Pokemon to level 60, Red wasn't that difficult.

Pikachu was defeated with one Earthquake
Espeon took 2 Body Slams by Chomp
Venusaur took 2 Drill Pecks
Blastiose took 3 Zap Cannons
Charizard took 3 Horn Attacks

Normal Monotype: Hoenn: Update #1

Beginning the game, I chose Mudkip as my starter
I quickly replaced Mudkip in favor of a Zigzagoon
Trained Zigzagoon (Bandit) while I proceeded to Rustboro City
Caught a Skitty (Luna), Taillow (Jet), and Whismur (Echo) near Rustboro and started training them
Challenged the Gym and lost miserably to Roxanne's Geodudes
Grinded for quite a while until I evolved Echo and Jet
Challenged the Gym once more

The second time around was easy due to my 2 evolved Pokemon
Jet used Wing Attack to take out the 2 Geodudes
Echo used Uproar to defeat Nosepass

After defeating Roxanne, I rescued Peeko from Team Aqua and got back the Devon Goods
I got a PokeNav from the Devon President
Made my way back to Mr. Briney and sailed to Dewford Town, where "FATHER SAYS" is all the rage, apparantly
Went into the cave and gave Steven his letter
Challenged the Gym

Brawley 1HKO'd all my Pokemon, except Jet
Jet 1HKO's all HIS Pokemon with Wing Attack. It wasn't even fair.

Sailed to Slateport
Defeated all trainers here and Team Aqua
Defeated May under Cycling Road
Defeated all trainers around Mauville
Challenged the Gym at least 7 times and lost each time
Grinded a bit
Challenged the Gym again

Wattson's Voltorb and Electrike were easy enough with Stomp
I had the most trouble with Magneton, it being a Steel type
I managed to use Headbutt enough times to defeat it
A combination of Attract and Sing helped Luna take down Manetric

Didn't do anything super out of the ordinary, just kept following the story
Saved the Meteorite from Team Magma and returned it to Prof. Cosmo

Easiest Gym battle yet

Don't worry, you're fine.

I will add this to the first post soon, but Dream Radar, and all external means of obtaining Pokemon (Dream World, Pokewalker) are acceptable as long as they are used with the game you are playing. No catching a Pokemon in Dream Radar and trading it in.

-caught a Psyduck in Ilex Forest and received HM Cut
-taught Chikorita Cut
-got to Goldenrod City, defeated Whitney, and recieved the Plain Badge
-got the Bicycle
-got to Ecruteak City and met Bill in the Pokemon Center
