I prefer much Lugia, just because of it being a water flying type if i remember well, and for the great sprite it had. In less words: i find Lugia cooler than Ho-Oh xD

I always used to prefer Lugia, but for me I've grown to be more drawn to Ho-Oh for some reason

Lugia is cooler. Did Ho-Oh star as the main legendary in a movie? Didn't think so. Case closed.]

On a more serious note, I liked Lugia more because I felt that Ho-Oh was too flashy for my liking. Lugia was a simple design and I always felt that Aeroblast was an awesome move, which helps.

HO-OH <3 <3 <3

It's just one of my most favorite Pokémon ever. I love phoenixes and Ho-Oh has such nice colors. To me, it resembles majesty altogether. And the fact that it never appeared in a Pokémon movie makes it so much more special and mysterious than the others <3

Lugia because my sister kept kicking my butt in battles with it when I was little.

Seeing as I've ever only played Silver and SoulSilver, I prefer Lugia.

This, pretty much. The Power of One was (and still is) my favourite Pokémon film, so I went with Lugia, despite generally loving Fire-types. I do like Ho-Oh as well, just Lugia seems more epic.

Ho-oh. I regret getting Soulsilver instead of Heartgold.

Lugia easily! ive never liked Ho-Oh (one of my least favorite legendary pokemon) but i admit they both have frigid designs. Even tho Ho-Oh is one of my least favorite legendary pokemon, you can't go wrong with LEGENDARY POKEMON

I'd say Lugia is better than Ho-oh. Seems to be more versatile, has a wider variety of capable moves, and whatever else.

I'm a Lugia lover. Ever since The Power of One, I have been in love with Lugia. I found it's design, while simpler to Ho-Oh's, much more sleek and cooler. I do love Ho-Oh, but it sorta reminds me of a rainbow peacock...or turkey.

I have always loved Lugia more than Ho-Oh. This is not to think that I do not like Ho-Oh, because I do, but Lugia has always stuck with me more. I love it's cool design, and loved him in the second movie. Plus, Silver was my first game for the Johto games, and Lugia was the mascot, so he always stuck with me since then.

I prefer Lugia over Ho-oh, that's also one reason why I prefer the Silver Version over the Gold Version. For me it was just way more exciting to catch Lugia and I like the look of it way better.

Not to mention we already had a legendary fire bird in R/B/Y.. so it wasn't all that exciting to have another one (though stronger one) in G/S and therefore it has never had much appeal to me. For a long time I actually thought Lugia had a Water/Flying type for some reason. :D
