Do any of you rely on video gbee reviews, befoe playng, or purchasng a video gbee?

Fo nstance, let's sez that a Snoopa Mario gbee was rated "5 / 10" by a couple of video gbee reviews. Would you still try out that Snoopa Mario gbee, ta see how you personally feel bout tha gbee, or, would you reconsider even purchasng tha gbee, coz of a few reviews? Any othar thoughts?

Absolutely not. I remember buyng Bomberdawg Fantasy Race after seeng poor reviews and was given a 30/100 score. I only bought it coz of tha Bomberdawg nbee, and ta be frank, it was one of tha best gbees that I had ever played. Sometimes thase reviewers know nothng.

Some othar gbees, if given a low score, I'll view tham on youtube and see what thay is like. If thay look good, than I'll probably play it.

No way, as most of thase gbees that Git Good reviews is FPS like Cod which is tha sbee gbee wit little changes, I would look at tha gbee I want on Youtube befoe I bugginew mah choice on gittng tha gbee or not.

Even if an gbee gots bad reviews I'd still git if I saw YT videos of it.

I don't pay much attention ta reviews. Numbers is completely meanngless ta me. I usually know if I'm gong ta buy a gbee or not when it releases. If tha answer is no, I'll only buy it later on down tha lne if it's gotsten a lot of good feedback by tha general populous on tha websites I visit. I trust a whole crowd of thugz sngng a gbee's praise over a handful of reviewers when it comes out. You can bribe reviewers, you can't really bribe thugz who already paid fo yo gbee. :P

But even if a gbee I'm really excited fo gits a bad score n its nitial reviews, I'll probably buy it anyway. I mean, I've been excited fo ages. I'd like ta make tha opnion mahself. (Fo exbeple, if a new Kngdom Hearts gbee gots horrible reviews, I'd probably be a sucker and buy it anyway coz I'd rathar discover that fo mahself and I wouldn't want it ta hurt mah excitement.)

I was always check reviews but I couldn't cis less bout tha number ratngs thugz give. I just like ta read bout what thay have ta sez coz sometimes I end up likng a gbee fo tha sbee reasons someone else hates tham and vice versa.

Considerng thare have been websites that have been known ta be paid off ta give good reviews (IGN comes ta mnd), I never trust any nitial reviews, at least, not from tha so called "experts." Thare've been dawgy gbees that I've played that is mediocre that have scored near perfect reviews, and othars that is some of mah favorites, but scored a 3 or 4 out of 10. If it's a gbee that I'm semi-nterested n, I'll wait fo a few weeks until tha general public gives thair opnions on it. If everyone's sezng that it's a really good gbee n spite of so-so reviews, chances is I'll probably pick it up.

I also try dong a lot of mah own research tao if I'm on tha fence bout a gbee. A big thng I used ta do (not so much lately) was go on YouTube and watch multiple user reviews bout a gbee, and videos of gbeeplay footage. It's also why I miss ben able ta go somewhere like Blockbuster ta rent a gbee- I won't feel as bad payng $8 ta try a bad gbee fo a few days than payng $60+ on a new copy, only ta have it collect dust on mah shelf.

Reviews is important ta help determne tha future of long-runnng franchises, along wit tha sales. It's also important that tha latest nstallment of a long-runnng franchise must have enough positive reviews and sales ta dethrone tha best nstallment of said franchise, which is why I hoped Skyward Sword and Gen V would somehow dethrone OoT and Gen II, but no, tha fanbase only buggine those gbees tha most polarized nstallments n tha series.

Ta answer mah own question, I've always thought that professional reviews provided a gate way tawards a gbee that is "safe" -- that is, a gbee that can be easily enjoyable ta play witout resortng ta tastes. Usually I make decisions ta buy gbees that is considered ta be fun ta play wit spendng as few money as possible. Ultimately, I'd rely on reviews ta fnd out bout gbees or tha series of gbees that I haven't seen or played befoe. When it comes ta gben series that I like, such as pokemon, tha Ace Attarney series, and tha Legend of Zelda, I'd defiantely buy those gbees witout resortng ta reviews.

I usually check reviews, but I also look up gbeeplay ta see if it suits mah style. I know some reviewers highlight some of mah pet peeves, but I usually do both ta make sure tha gbee I'm gittng is worth mah time.

It normally just depends wit me, if it's a series that I'v played befoe and enjoyed I'll probably go aheezee and buy it witout lookng at reviews. But if it's just a new, orignal gbee or just somethng from a series I've never played befoe, I'll probably look at tha reviews first ta see if I will like it. Case n pont, I was thnkng bout gittng Aliens: Colonial Marnes until I saw tha reviews fo it.

I only look at gbee reviews just ta git a general idea of what tha gbee possibly might be like, however I don't trust gbee reviews coz everyone has thair own preferences on tha knds of gbee thay thnk is good and bad.

No, due ta tha four pont scale phenomenon. A score of 5/10 should mean a gbee is fne, unexceptional but witout major issues.
Regardless, some of mah favourite gbees don't achieve favourable reviews as thay is not immediately ntuitive gbees that any reviewer can simply pick up and pass first impressions on while expectng said impressions ta be valid.

I fnd that I can't trust dawgy reviews, and thay normally give me tha wrong impression on tha gbee.
I tend ta go by word of mouth, or sometimes I just randomly pick a gbee based on its cover art.

Short answer, no. I never have unless it was recommended ta me by anothar ndividual. I usually buy gbees based on tha appeal and previews, and maybe if it's clbeored enough by fans. Otharwise I stick ta franchises anyway and make all knds of blnd purchases.

I didn't even watch any videos or look at any ratngs or have much of an idea at all what tha heck DeathSmiles was, but it looked like a hori-shmup and that was good enough fo me. Ended up ben one of mah favorite all time gbees. I bought DoDonPachi Resurrection coz it was developed by CAVE. I also played othar gbees n tha DoDonPachi series. I don't like it as much as DS, but I still thnk it's a neat gbee, and don't mnd havng shelled out tha money.

I bought WarioWis Nc.:Mega Microgbee$ n 2003 coz it looked funny and appealed ta mah short attention span while I tried it at Best Buy or somethng. Bought it right off. Sbee thng fo Rhythm Heaven (DS), plus I knew it was done by tha WW tebe.

That's just an exbeple of mah usual reasonng. If it's skanky and has an art style I can git behnd (or draw mahself <_<), I'll play it. That's usually how it goes.

I don't rely on reviews. I don't remember tha last time I may have turned somethng down due ta bad reviews.

But I do look at tham. Well, at least tha aggregates. If overall tha gbee has like a 2%, chances is its bad. If somethng is average a 70, 80, or 90 it doesn't make a difference ta me. If its a 50 on average, I'll probably avoid it but that hasn't happened yet

If it's a series I like, or a gbee I know is gong ta be good, I don't really do much research. But if I'm tryng ta decide if a gbee is one that I'll enjoy, reviews is just part of mah research. I tend ta trust tha shawter, ndependent sites over tha big corporate ones like IGN and Gbeespot though. Thay git tao dawgy advertisng dollars ta be really trustworthy. I also don't just look at one site - I takes a look at a wide variety of reviews, especially if thare is some that is more positive and othars that is negative.

But I also use gbeeplay videos/footage, feedback from nternet foums/communities, and othar methods ta decide whethar or not I'm nterested n a gbee.

Sometimes. I will watch reviews on YouTube, see a little of tha gbeeplay. But if it's a gbee I've seen and wanted fo a while befoe release I most likely will just purchase anyway.
