Introduction
You know the amazing technology of Pokémon, right? I mean, capture creatures in balls and store them on a PC. Amazing! So amazing that everybody uses it, like the Internet. But then, a few years after the events of Generations I to V... It stops working.

This is my first project, so I might fail at finishing it, and don't expect too much!

Info
Spoiler:
Program: RPG Maker XP with Pokémon Essentials
Region: Kanto (and probably other regions)
Player Charachter: Yellow (provisional name)
Rival: Green (provisional)
Professor: All from main series + Ivy (maybe Hastings)
Starters: Kanto starters (Pikachu for rival) (if I make more regions, their starters will be available too) (might be chaged)
Start Town: Pallet Town
Villainous Team: Team P (provisional name)

Story
Spoiler:
A few years after the adventures of Red, Ethan, Brendan, Lucas and Hilbert, new children moved to Pallet Town, Yellow (prov.) and Green (prov.). They have been waiting until this great day: they will be receiving their first Pokémon! But then, it says on the news that Bill, Lanette, Bebe and Amanita are missing, and in big parts of the Pokémon Nation, their Storage Systems have stopped working!
You go outside, and see many interviewers outside Oak's Lab. It's now the headquarters of the Pokémon Professor Society now, and the Professors are talking about how they will solve the problem. Oak then asks you and your rival to go travelling through the region to find Bill, and (may be scrapped) later on, the other Developers. It is later revealed that all is caused by Team P (prov.) who try to get the Pokémon World in complete chaos by deactivating the whole Storage System.

Features (marked with * means possible)
Spoiler:
-No Storage System until later on, this means that you have to select your party carefully!
-Encountering Red, Ethan*, Brendan*, Lucas* and Hilbert*.
-Rediscover Kanto (and other regions*)
-All Pokémon Professors
-No Fakemon

Collaborators
Spoiler:
Q-Quan: Everything
I'm bad at spriting, which is really needed. Maps are not really needed; I will use the included ones in Essentials. If you can help me, I'll list you above!

What's done
Spoiler:
Pallet Town Exterior Map
Pallet Town: Player House, House of Blue, Laboratory Maps
Pallet Town: Events on the start of the game
Route 1 map, events and Wild Pokémon

What's next on schedule
Spoiler:
Trying to make sprites for the rival and Team P
Finishing interior maps on Pallet Town
Finishing NPC events in Pallet Town
Finishing Viridian maps and events

Known bugs
Spoiler:
At the start of the game, Mom stays on the top left on the screen (not influencing gameplay).
The rival dissappears after the first battle (not influencing gameplay).

Why
Spoiler:
I started thinking about a multi-region game, and how it should be. Many people think this won't work, as your Pokémon will get too strong. However, this would be a perfect reason to not being able to take your Pokémon into other regions: the Storage System doesn't work. When you defeat Team P, however, it will be possible.
Then I discovered RPG Maker XP and thought it would be the perfect way for me to realize my idea. Although I don't know if I will succeed, I'm very happy with this and I hope you like this too.

Help needed
Spoiler:
If someone can do one of these (I'm very bad (if not worse) at spriting):
Player Characters backsprites and overworlds
Rival and Team P overworlds (gen III style)
" " Battle Sprites
Move animation version of the standard Mother overworld
Gen III styled sprites for Elm, Birch, Rowan, Ivy and Juniper
PM me for more info (ie how it has to look)

I've moved this thread to the correct place. Resources is clearly not the place for it.

Oh, Thanks!
I suppose it accidentally landed up there as I logged out and in while writing it.
I'm sorry if it has caused any problems...

Q-Quan, unfortunate that this started in the wrong place lol, but at least it made it's way here... You know, I like the way you've laid everything out, in your maps... Nice idea too with no storage, can you get this to work though? Ivy doesn't look like Ivy, I'm not sure there is a sprite out there for her, though I haven't looked... You don't plan on finishing this... Don't know what to say about that but, good luck anyway

Well, Nickaloose...
Thanks for all the compliments. The storage basically works by a script on the PC. I can make a conditional branch like:
If: (insert condition here) is ON
(PC script)
If else:
Text: The PC doesn't work...
The sprites for the professors are generic NPCs from Essentials. I in fact do want to finish it, but I don't know if I will achieve it.

Oh fair enough... Good luck.

I can imagine they are placeholders.

So the PC still works like normal, you just can't access it, I see what you're doing... What I would do is change how it works, make the box "full" with 0 Pokemon in it unless switch X is true/on, then box is useable... Make the same switch change the message from "box is full" to "there is no storage system" or something of the like... But your way is fine if it does what you want
