What are your absolute favorite albums? Here are mine, in alphabetical order by album title.

I think that accurately portrays my taste in music. I have a few other albums that I absolutely adore, but these ones are the most precious to me and mean the most to me / have shaped me the most. Plus, I had to limit it to some number (I chose 21 because that's how old I am). What are yours?

If we share any favorites, you should totally like my post and I'll do the same for yours!

My favourite albums are pretty eclectic, which also means I don't really have much of a taste, but here you go. My top 25.

Order in zigzag:-
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion
Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album
Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Built to Spill - There's Nothing Wrong With Love
Daft Punk - Discovery
Death Grips - The Money Store
Erik Satie - Erik Satie: Piano Works
Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Girl Talk - All Day
Jay-Z - The Blueprint
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Kanye West - Late Registration
Binary Star - Masters of the Universe
The Killers - Hot Fuss
knxwledge. - Ovrstnd.LP
Madvillain - Madvillainy
Miles Davis - Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Radiohead - Kid A
The Streets - Original Pirate Material
The Strokes - Is This It
Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman

Had to decide between Yeezy's Late Registration or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (both great albums by the way), but I feel like the former edges out for me.

EDIT: Also, if you want to make an album collage, you can do so using this link.

Here are my favourite 16, ranging from albums to EPs. My favourite genres are indie/garage rock and rap, and I like songs from other artists too, but to be honest I listen to all sorts of stuff.

Order from top going right-
The Strokes - Is This It (favourite out of all)
The Strokes - Room On Fire
The Strokes - Comedown Machine
Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Plan B - The Defamation of Strickland Banks
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Eminem - Relapse
Intuition - Girls Like Me
Wax - Scrublife
Wax - Eviction Notice
Wax - Continue...
Dumbfoundead - DFD
Dumbfoundead - Old Boy Jon
Dumbfoundead - Love Everyday
Dumbfoundead - Cut + Paste

Some of these guys you probably never heard of, if you do like rap/hip hop you should definitely check out the last three artists.

• Metallica - "Metallica" (Black Album)
• Metallica - "Ride the Lightning"
• Metallica - ".... And Justice For All"
• Megadeth - "Peace Sells But Who's Buying"

Spoiler:

In order.. and two are actually EPs not LPs, but they're better than far too many albums regardless. I'd recommend any one of them to anybody, apart from Godflesh.

Luckily I know just the site to use for this kind of thread. [Link] It'll produce the kind of thing you see in my spoiler, very time consuming though so be warned.

Anyway... my choices -

Spoiler:

I've attempted to order them, but it's difficult with most of them to separate. At least they're vaguely in the right area of where they belong though. I might have omitted a few albums accidentally, but it gives a general idea.

I'm quite happy to see a few of my albums in other users' posts already. Very good taste people. :P

Cat Power - The Greatest
Daft Punk - Alive 2007
David Bowie - Hunky Dory

Damn good stuff right there, Nuke. I didn't put any mixtapes on, but yeah 1999 is the **** [long live asap too], hopefully Joey's new EP will be good as well. You should check out the Underachievers' tape Indigoism if youre into those guys. Also I'm a bit surprised to see no Acid rap haha, that one's usually a favorite of hip hop heads/indie guys.

also I just dled J Dilla's Donuts, and it's really good, definitely a fan of it, i'd probably consider it for the list in my above post

This is one of my favorite albums from a local band.

I still own this cassette from 1978 that my parents gave me.
