I honestly didn't think Toonami would pick up a harem series other than nostalgia stuff like Tenchi, but they did. I guess SAO will have a pretty good dub now though.

I know exactly what you're talking about. MN has got one of those in-your-face, irritating fanbases.

I guess considering they had Deadman Wonderland air it shouldn't be a shock that they picked up SAO. I guess kiddies don't want classy shows like Bebop or The Big O any more.

I'm much too shallow to not get pissed off at Bebop's ending.

As for Mirai Nikki, Rewind was fun to watch.

Bebop gets taken off but the bad Tenchi and Thundercats: The Animu stay.

...*sigh*

I feel like if a show only has a small amount of episodes, it only improves it, since you're not forced to keep watching it

Getting pissed off at Bebop's ending? I don't get it.

Lenght of series doesn't mean anything.

It does mean some things. You won't find a hundred episode anime with great animation quality. There'd have to be an insane budget to give some of the perks that shorter anime have to longer ones.

Aye, look at the Naruto vs Sasuke and Naruto vs Pain fights

they really got lazy with some of the animations

Most short series don't have particularly high animation quality though. Longer shounen titles just use their budget during the moments that matter.....actually that is a lie, if you're Shippuden staff you use your best animation and art direction in filler arcs.

I can't complain, Naruto vs. Sasuke was my favorite part of Naruto/Shippuden. But shorter anime can still manage higher quality, usually, simply for financial reasons.

Again, they don't very often though. There are so few series with Paranoia Agent, Hyouka or FMA Brotherhood tier animation out there.

Also a lot of 1/2 cour anime now start with decent animation quality but it drastically drops after a couple of episodes.

To me, the turn-off with long shows is just the commitment it requires.

Same here. Heck, sometimes it's hard for me to get into 24 episode animu. 12/13 episodes, though, can be pretty easy to get into.

I'm watching 2 non airing shows right now. Slam Dunk at 101 episodes and Yawara at 124. Good times.

I just put up an episode of some random show when I feel like I want to commit to something.

Which rarely happens.

Ah, yeah, I guess if you ignore all of the foreshadowing throughout the show. Kills the romance of it if he was to
Spoiler:
survive
though imo.

I had the misfortune of having the ending showed to me first because the guy thought it was so fantastic.

But without the whole show to lead up to it, it meant nothing to me. Instead I now have to go through the series knowing what happens at the end.

He usually is, must his sensibility must've been clouded from just having finished the show.
Doing anything just after finishing a good anime is usually a bad idea.
