Wait, is that pudding man eating himself? Disturbing...

I can sort'a see a resemblance. Mostly the colors.

No, he's my snow leopard character. However the silver hair, pointy ears, and facial markings do bring him to mind. However, Sesshomaru has yellow eyes, purple facial markings, a crescent on his forehead, longer hair, and shorter ears, whereas this character has red eyes, black facial markings, nothing on his forehead, shorter hair, and longer ears. Sesshomaru also doesn't have a tail (when in human-like form, anyway, though he does have that fluffy thing).

Though his original design wasn't intended to be related to Sesshomaru at all, I did use him in an Inuyasha-based RP before, in which he was related to Sesshomaru. Sesshy and the ice panther (I forget her name) were his great, great, great, etc. grandfather and grandmother.

The colors are pretty much why I see a resemblance.

UPDATE: Bilingual Mashpot card!

EDIT: Fixed the alignment of the Weakness text to make it conform to the imaginary grid.

This is a fairy card so in real cards it would be resistance to dragon right? But i love the card.

That's what I thought at first, but official Fairy-type cards are resistant to Darkness instead. No idea why.

Here are a few examples: [x] [x] [x]

Thanks!

Also, just in case you or anyone else are wondering why my Fairy texture doesn't match the official, it's because I dislike the official texture and it looks awful on Neo-era cards. Most, if not all, of the official textures have changed to some extent over the years, the most drastic being Metal, so why not make a different one for Fairy?

I'm more surprised just how dark the Fairy texture looks in those scans. The Dark resistance makes a fair bit of sense since they do happen to be resistant to Dark types, which are far more potent in the TCG than the Dragon types right now.

These are simply amazing cards! I especially like the holographic ones, how did you do that? Is a seperate layer or does it actually shine? Keep up the awesome work making the cards! All ive ever done was make them with online generators and card programs

Thanks! The holographic effect is a different layer... well, 2 layers. The blend settings depend on the background, but what usually works for me is for the top foil layer to be set to Dodge (100% opacity) and the lower one to be set to Multiply (70% opacity).

I don't really like online generators. The blanks tend to be very low quality, often the wrong colors, with incorrect fonts and placement. The only card-specific program I've ever used was Magic Set Editor, which seemed to do pretty well for MTG and YGO fakes, but I never used it for Pokémon cards (the one I had didn't have the Pokémon plug-in, but I heard that one existed). I use Photoshop for all my fakes now, but GIMP is a great free alternative.

- - -

UPDATE:

I would have made it Japanese, or at least on a Japanese blank, but I haven't made any Ice blanks, I don't really like my Japanese Water blanks, and this artwork wouldn't suit a Psychic blank.

Trying to look for technical flaws here but not spotting any.

I bet Snowpoketail is real tasty.

Oh! The Pokedex entry in that text box seems to have text that is kind of off. Maybe that's just me, though.

I dunno about that. Regular Slowpoke secrete a honey-like fluid from the tips of their tails, which I assume is why the end of the tail is lighter. This guy doesn't have anything like that, so I assume that it wouldn't taste as sweet. Plus, it's covered in hair.

That's because I had to reduce the character width so I could fit all the text. IIRC, some Neo-series cards had rather squished-looking flavour text entries, though maybe not to this degree.

EDIT: This one's pretty close. [x]

EDIT 2: This one seems to be the most extreme example, which looks almost identical to mine. [x]

Looks like I could have moved the text box left a pixel or so.

The text at the top of Snowbro looks a little awkward where it's positioned, probably because there's so much of it up there where there normally isn't quite that much text.

That's a pretty tough stuffed cat to have 30 HP!

Yeah, I had to move the evolution text on Snowbro further left than usual to keep from squishing it too much. It would have been awkward to read if I squished it much more. Another thing that may make it look a little odd is that the Stage bar is about 1 or 2 pixels lower than official cards, but that's just how the blanks were made.

As for the cat, it's made with denim. :o

EDIT: Another card of me!

I don't know how appreciated they are, but I'm really enjoying these classic-style cards with derpy artwork. They remind me of some of the old Japanese-exclusive promos.

Effect-wise and artwise, this feels like a card that belongs in Imakuni? card tree.

I adore Imakuni? cards.

UPDATE: Speaking of that "Strange Life Form..."

I'm really not sure about the wording here.

There needs to be a bit more foolish dancing involved for it to be true to form for cards about that "Strange Life Form". :P

How about changing the last sentence to "Each player draws 5 cards. Both Active Pokémon are now Confused." Imakuni? seems to have a thing for Confusing Pokémon.

UPDATE: Finally, a serious card! Sort of. Click the image for print resolution. (Do it. It looks much crisper.)

Only playable with or against a Gym deck, obviously. Your opponent probably won't have all the cards needed for this effect to work, so you'll probably want to make sure that you do. It would be ideal to use it with a Giovanni + Koga deck in case this card doesn't work out, since all of their Trainer cards (that I can recall) require their own Pokémon. It doesn't have to be a Giovanni + Koga deck, but if it isn't, you will have at least 2 completely useless cards in your deck if this card doesn't succeed.

Example: If you have Brock, Misty's Duel, Lt. Surge's Secret Plan, Erika's Kindness, Koga's Weedle, Sabrina's Psychic Control, Blaine's Last Resort, and Giovanni's Nidoking in your hand and get heads, you win the game. It's like a 9-piece Exodia that may or may not work.

UPDATE: No new artwork, but here's a new card using some 8/10-year-old artwork!

Spoiler:
Groudon - 80 HP

{F} - Ancient Ground - 10x
This attack does 10 damage times the number of {F} Energy
attached to Groudon. Attach a {F} Energy card from your
discard pile to Groudon.

{F} {F} {F} - Shifting Earth - 70
Discard all {F} Energy cards attached to Groudon or this
attack does nothing.

Weakness: {G} - Resistance: none - Retreat Cost: {C} {C}

If you're wondering why the foil is overlapping the Pokémon, it was inspired by some Japanese e-series promos.

EDIT: And here's a remake of my older Alexpoke card as an e-card!

I caught a Shiny Sneasel last night and decided to make a card with it by editing some of my older Sneasel artwork.

All fantastic stuff here since the last time I posted.

Sorry for not having a more in-depth critique. I've been kinda busy offline.

UPDATE: Happy New Year!

I know the alignment looks a little off, but so was the alignment on a lot of Neo Genesis cards.

EDIT: Changed the alignment based on a not-so-funky Neo card. Also changed the effect on the "Happy New Year" text to make it look more like a foil stamp.

EDIT 2: Positioned the new card to the right of the old one for easier comparison.

I like the second version considerably more, but even with the changes pointed out I'm having a hard time distinguishing the differences between the two versions.

I moved the new card from below the old card to next to it for easier comparison. Now it should be more apparent that the foil stamp is glossier on the newer version with a slightly less greenish look, the set symbol was moved down a little, an extra space was added between the second Energy cost and was moved to the left (centered with the first Energy cost), the second attack name was nudged to the right, and the WRRC symbols were moved up a pixel.
