Well he did use his Pokedex to get info on a Corphish and Buizel that some other characters found, in the episode that aired today in the U.S.

Don't need to worry, he does it every time in every region.

That's ridiculous. He has those Pokemon back at Oak's Lab! Does the region's pokedex say new or specific information on every Pokemon? Maybe that's why he does it...But still, it's a slap to the face.
