Hey there!
You definitely gave this Club a bunch of thought, and it looks like it could be so much fun!
I'd be honored to be the first new member, so here i go:

Your Username: Zorogami
Partner Pokémon: Torchic and Houndour

Why do you like Fire-Types: Fire Pokemon are full of temperament and passion. They live in hot climates, even in volcanoes, and are rough and strong Pokemon, that's why i like them. Their attacks can cause huge amount of damage, and i love to burn my opponent's pokemon

Current Topic: I picked Torchic because he is my all-time favorite starter. Torchic is just so cute, and Blaziken is just awesome!! I love his typing, and back then i could beat almost the entire Elite 4 just using him :D Houndour is a Dark/Fire Pokemon, another combo that i love, and i find his design really cool. Inspired by Cerberus, the guradian of the underworld, he is a loyal companion, who would always protect his trainer!!

Partner Pokémon: Cyndaquil and Larvesta

Why do you like Fire-Types?: (most) Fire-types have that unexplainable aura of elegance, power and beauty surrounding them, and their moves are no less different. They also make great team members and help with accurate and powerful moves.

Answer the current topic: Why did you choose your Partner Pokémon?
I chose Cyndaquil as it is my most favourite Fire-type of ALL TIME. <3 As for Larvesta, it's an awesome Fire/Bug-type that eventually evolves into the magnificent and powerful Volcarona, one of my other favourites. <3

You're welcome, every club has a place for the subject's fans!

So, anything i can maybe help you with? or anything else i should know?

Thanks, but I don't need any help, mainly because I'm used to running clubs like this.

About Lucky Spin, every result that is generated is decided by a Random Number Generator. I just number the prizes, and the Random Number Generator will decide if all three results are going to be the same.

And Houndour is very awesome, i think his design was very well done :D

On the Houndour subject, do you think there should be another Dark/Fire Type? If so, what kind of Dark/Fire would you want? Or would you prefer it if the Dark/Fire was exclusive to Houndour's evolutionary line?

Also, you're welcome. If there are any questions, feel free to ask!

BTW, nice Userbars! Thanks for your contributions, the points are now currently being added to your total.

Oh wow that's a tough question...i think I'd prefer for Houndour/Houndoom to be the only Dark/Fire pokes, that would keep them unqiue :D i could tolerate one more maybe...something like a Dark Phoenix themed Pokemon? idk, just throwing it out there.

Thanks for complementing on the user bars, i'll try to make some more later. and thanks for giving me points for them :D

Why do you like Fire-Types?: Fire types are undoubtedly the coolest of all the elemental type Pokemon. Unless you're doing a Mono challenge, it's an absolute must to have one on your team.
Why did you choose your Partner Pokémon?: Charmander was my first starter and is my oldest friend. Chimchar is a pretty cool little guy.

You're welcome.

IMO, Dark/Fire is a creative combination, and I don't think it should be spammed too much either. But I don't think a Dark Phoenix would actually be possible, as it's pretty much impossible to describe with only two Types, and it would only ever work if they introduce Triple-Typed Pokémon, which I'd think will never happen anyway.

I guess you are right about the Phoenix thing, but i hope they will never introduce triple types.
i think it would make things way to complicated and messy...

I hope there will be plenty to chose from, since Gen5 really didn't have that many new ones. i'd like to see a fire pokemon based on a lion, i think it would be fitting. Maybe some Fire/flying pokemon which isn't a legendary or Charizard would be cool too. And i think a lizard fire pokemon would be pretty nice too, he could maybe be Fire/Poison?

About the Triple Types thing - Game Freak will possibly never find out of the strengths and weaknesses of triple-typed Pokémon - So yeah, I have to agree with you. Triple Types will mess up everything.

It actually seems Generation V introduced the most Fire-Types compared to the other Gens, seeing as it created 15, well 16 with forms. That is almost a third in total (And that is out of all the Fire-Types existing). But yeah, I see what you mean when you say it didn't really have many new ones, as out of the Elemental Trio (Water, Grass and Fire), Fire is lagging behind greatly at last place. But we got to keep the stronger in smaller numbers, right? It'll be more precious, if you know what I mean.

As for the Fire/Flying combination, I would actually think that if there are new ones, they should really not be as strong (Considering the three Fire/Flying we already have, they are all pretty strong, even though two of them are legendaries and are strong anyway).

About Fire/Poison, I actually like the idea, but then the Pokémon of this combination meets the Ground-Type. And then, they meet the terror of their life - Stunfisk Dugtrio. Before it has a chance to attack, it'd be down instantly. Not only that, but it'd have lots of other weaknesses, and the Poison-Type does not tend to have an excellent Defense. So, if they do make a Fire/Poison Pokémon, the only think I'm going to say is that it's going to need quite a high Defense and HP.

When it comes to Fire/Fighting, I do think this combo is getting pretty old. After all, we did have it on the starter evolutions for 3 generations. So I don't think it should come back for a while, not even on non-starter Pokémon. It is the most common Fire Combination (Excluded Fire Type due to it not being a combination), after all.

I think Fire/Psychic is going to come. I don't know why, it just looks like Fennekin is able to do Psychic moves. I at least can imagine it happening, although it already happened.

I honestly think there should be a Fire/Grass Type, without it being awkward. It would be able to stand up against almost anything, and it would only have a few Resistances (Grass, Steel, Electric) and a few Weaknesses (Poison, Flying, Rock). Also, some types that is neutral against Fire/Grass, Fire/Grass can deal with. With others that deal neutral damage, Fire/Grass can deal Neutral Damage back. I think just about the only thing that completely resists it would be Dragon. But alas, there isn't a lot of animals that are like Fire/Grass, and snakes would be better suited for the Fire/Poison... However, a bearded dragon (the lizard) seems to fit well.

What kinds of Fire-Type Pokémon do you think will appear in X/Y, not including Fennekin's Evolutionary Line?

I think another Fire/Dark-type could be nice. How about a snake that spits out fire instead of poison? There could also be perhaps a kind of Pokemon with Fire/Grass typings. It would be an interesting type combo, having the grass-type coupled with something it's weak against. About another Fire/Flying, perhaps it could be in the form of a Firefly! It makes so much sense.

Wow man, you sure gave me a lot of things to ponder my friend! Well here we go!

Now that you mention it, you are right about Gen5 introducing quite a lot of new fire Pokemon, but if we exclude the starter and his evolutions, and Reshiram, Larvesta and Volcarona for being legendaries, the number is quite small. I just feel Fire pokemon have a lot of potential, and there could be plenty more of them imo. But yeah, smaller number makes them more precious, that's right.

Fire/Poison wouldn't be that great of a type combo, you are absolutely right, i was just throwing ideas out there that came to my mind, without really giving it too much thought. I guess giving this pokemon high HP and defense would make it more usable, but it still wouldn't be that good...so forget what i said about a Fire/Poison ^^

The combo Fire/fighting is definitely getting old, i just thought it would be fitting for a Kangaroo, but i sure hope they come up with something more creative than yet another fire/fighting. I hope Fennekin does become Fire/psychic, that would be a pretty cool combo with a lot of potential! And since there is only one other fire/psychic, i could see it happening.

Fire/grass would be a really cool combo, one I've been thinking about lately myself. The typing would make for some balanced weaknesses and resistences, and as you said, Dragon would be the only type it could have problems with, but since there aren't that many dragons (usually) it would be okay i think. Maybe this Pokemon could be something like the Piranha Plants from super mario? of course it would look more dangerous and such, but i think it would be a pretty cool idea!
Or even the bearded dragon you were talking about, that would be pretty amazing as well :D

Love the detail you gave to the OP!

Your Username: Sckye
Partner Pokémon: Cyndaquil and Growlithe
Why do you like Fire-Types?: POWA. Fire types was my favourite type when I was younger and playing the older games like Gold and Crystal; if I didn't choose Cyndaquil, then I would definitely catch Growlithe, no matter how many times I had replayed the game! Defeating my opponents with the raw burn of a Flamethrower or Fire Blast attack and crushing them with the fatal Blast Burn - now that's satisfaction.
Why did you choose your Partner Pokémon?: Both Pokemon are two of my favourite Pokemons. Every playthrough of Gold and Crystal I would have either of them on my team in their final evolutions. They define awesome.

Good points you have there. Though I beg to differ at that one point with the Larvesta Line being legendary. So we can only take away the Tepig line and Reshiram, which means there are 11 non-legendary, non-starter Fire-Types in Unova. But if we consider Darmanitan's alternate form as a separate Pokémon, then Unova has introduced 12 non legendary and non starter Pokémon, which is the same as Generation I (The second highest, just under Gen V), and I'm talking about Generation I's total with the Starters and Legendaries. Without Gen I's starters and legendary Fire-Types, Gen I would only have introduced 8. So technically Unova still introduced quite a lot of Fire-Types, even without the starters or legendaries being considered.

The problem with a kangaroo is that they already used it :/ Although there are a few Pokémon that are based on the same animal, most aren't. Fennekin is a Fire Fox (What's funny is that I am using the browser named Mozilla Firefox) and so is the Vulpix Line (Which was introduced much earlier than Fennekin). But I don't see this situation happening for a kangaroo, Kangaskhan had already taken that seat. A Fighting-Type kangaroo is quite logical, and the Fire Type would possibly describe it's nature of possibly getting angry easily (Fire=Anger?). But we never know! Sometimes in Pokémon, some really unexpected stuff are introduced (Yes Trubbish line, I'm looking at you). I just don't see it likely due to the small amount of Pokémon that are based on the same animal.

As for the piranhas, I think that those would be more likely to be Water/Fire, as they are, well, fish. Sorry if I am not talking about what you mean, I never played Super Mario (Or in that case, any Mario Game) before so I may not know what you mean. But Remoraid (I'm not counting Octillery, as that's an octopus) kind of fills up the piranha spot already, so it's unlikely we'd see another one unless Game Freak are really ambitious lately and they come up with a Pokémon with the same concept but is much more awesome and creative. And if there is a new piranha like this, Game Freak should somehow try not to make the piranha's design too awkward, as, well, you probably know why, as the type combination would be unusual and possibly the only one, unless of course there is an evolution.

I came up with the Bearded Dragon because the lizard is probably found in grassy habitats; probably in the trees, but still yeah, in grasslands. That would give it the Grass-Type. As for the Fire-Type, well, dragons breathe fire (Even though lizards including the Bearded Dragon obviously don't) and well, it has dragon in it's species name, so yeah, that's why it got the Fire-Type. I know Bearded Dragons can't breathe fire (As stated before) but it'd be cool for it to be Fire-Type, and IMO it fits quite well. But then, it'd be a bit similar to Charmander/Charmeleon then. But we shouldn't worry too much about that, Charmander/Charmeleon are based off chameleons, which may be lizards but it's not quite a Bearded Dragon.

And you're in!

Fun Fact: The Fire-Type is the only Type that could deal 5x damage. If you use a Fire-Type move on a Paras or Parasect with Dry Skin, the power will be multiplied by 5 instead of 4!

This. There should actually be a snake that shoots something other than venom. But it's logic, as snakes are usually venomous. After all, there has been at least three snakes, most of the Poison Type, which are pretty venomous. But because so many snakes have been created (Possibly it's the most overused species concept), it's quite likely they'd stop. But as I said before, we never know, sometimes Game Freak can fascinate us, sometimes they could disappoint us.

Yeah, and if there was a Fire/Grass, I'd highly hope it would not be legendary. Most of the recent unique Type Combinations we have are only held by Legendaries.

And a Firefly... How come Game Freak never thought up about it? Nice idea. Anyway, I'd suspect a Firefly to be weaker than Charizard, but to be around the strength of Raichu or something, and to possibly not have an evolutionary line. IMO there really needs to be more Fire-Types that do not have any evolutionary relatives.

Shop Update:

I introduced Experience (XP) packs to the shop. They come in at different levels, and the bigger pack you get, the higher the discount! XP Packs give a certain amount of XP to a chosen Pokémon.

BTW, you will be unable to buy XP Packs once Rare Candies prove to be more cost-efficient for you.

Your quote, so i can save some space:
Spoiler:

Here we go again my friend. first of all, let me say i admire how much research you do before posting something, it's nice to see how fact-based your ideas and arguments are!

You have definitely convinced me that Gen5 introduced way more fire types than i actually thought, so i take back my statement saying the exact opposite. I guess i like Fire pokemon so much, i'm just disappointed there aren't as many as i wish there were. I actually did some research myself: out of all pokemon that currently exist, 7,43% are fire Pokemon, which places 9th on the type-ratio scale. I guess that's better than i first expected, but i still think there should be more of them.

You are right about Vulpix already being a fox themed pokemon, but Vulpix and Fennekin look so different, i don't even mind if they are based on the same animal. And the problem i have with Kangaskhan being based on a kangaroo is the fact that the only thing that really connects this two is Kangaskhan's pouche. Nothing else would make you think of Kangaskhan being based on a kangaroo, that's why i think they should make a Pokemon that really resembles one.

I see you misunderstood what i meant with the piranha plant thing. Here is a picture, so you know what I'm talking about: *Piranha Plant*. In the games, these plants actually spit out fire balls, so i thought this idea could be the inspiration for a Fire/Grass pokemon. Of course the design should be different and all that, it just made me think that a fire/grass pokemon could actually be made. Remoraid might be piranha based, but i think Carvanha does even more (i mean, just look at his name!).

Your bearded dragon idea makes a lot of sense, and now that you explained it in full detail, i can definitely see it working. And i share your hope of some new type combos not being exclusive to legendaries, i hate when that happens. Firefly would be pretty cool too, there is Yanmega already, but a fire insect would look way different, so i really wouldn't mind.

I also wanted to say that fun fact was really interesting, thanks for sharing!
And a question: since i reached 50 points, am i awarded with another Pokemon?

Only fifteen fully-evolved Fire-type Pokémon are easily available. This makes sense as most forms of fire are extremely rare in nature.

Water is the most common because most of the world is sea, Grass is the fourth (Because of Normal - Animals/People and Flying - Sky/Birds being very common) most common as part of the world is Grass, and most forms of Fire are extremely rare in nature, making them ninth.

And the problem i have with Kangaskhan being based on a kangaroo is the fact that the only thing that really connects this two is Kangaskhan's pouche. Nothing else would make you think of Kangaskhan being based on a kangaroo, that's why i think they should make a Pokemon that really resembles one.

Maybe they should create a pre-evolution for Kangaskhan that could be female or male. The female could evolve into Kangaskhan at Level 25, and the male could evolve into a slightly different, Fire/Fighting kangaroo at Level 30 (Seeing as Fighting and Fire are probably higher tier Types than Normal).

And i share your hope of some new type combos not being exclusive to legendaries, i hate when that happens.

Yeah, if pretty much every Legendary from Gens I-III shares it's exact Type Combination with a non-legendary Pokémon, why not Gens IV-V? Those have a lot of legendaries, and they have a lot of unique Type combinations unique only to legendaries.

I also wanted to say that fun fact was really interesting, thanks for sharing!

Because of the 5x damage increase, the weakest Fire-Type Move with Power, Incinerate, has it's power spring from 30 all the way up to 150, which is the power of Blast Burn, a move which causes the user to recharge a turn. The strongest Fire-Type move, V-Create, has it's power spring from 180 all the way up to 900, which probably makes it the move with the most potential in Power (And that does not include Stat Changing then using a move like Shuckle does, as those tactics require stat changing, while the V-Create tactics do not need any Stat Changes beforehand) out of every move Pokémon has had. Needless to say, the 5x damage mechanic makes Fire-Type Pokémon super beast.

And a question: since i reached 50 points, am i awarded with another Pokemon?

Sure! Go ahead and choose an un-evolved Fire-Type Pokémon.

That makes so much sense, how did i never think about it? ^^
I guess Pokemon leans more on our actual world/environment than i thought...

That would definitely work i think. Would also explain the whole "baby-in-pouche" thing.

Sure! Go ahead and choose an un-evolved Fire-Type Pokémon.

I'd like to pick Numel please! :D
