3rd Gen For Starters... [December 2015]

I like the Kanto ones better aesthetically, but I found battling with the Hoenn starters - or at least the fully evolved forms - was more interesting, and most of them had more varied moves.

I started in gen 1 but I gotta give this round to gen 3 starters. Something about the mudkip line appeals. Treekos pretty good too and a nod to the Kung Fu fire chicken.

Picked Hoenn, for the nostalgia. :P Although while I do like the Hoenn trio, I never hesitate picking Treecko when playing a Hoenn-based game, whereas I have a significantly harder time picking between the Kanto starters. I guess it's because I love Treecko that much, but I have used and do love the other Hoenn starters as well!

I'm old soooooo I swear by Kanto...lol. At least in this case.

Cant beat the classics, I'll go Kanto for life.

Wow- this was a lot closer than I expected. Though, maybe I shouldn't be surprised, as all 6 of these are great starter Pokemon, but it's great to see a tight race!

My vote went to the Hoenn starters, with Treecko swinging my opinion in their favour. Treecko's easily my favorite first stage starter, and I've always relied on it in any of the Hoenn based games I've played.
