How to Stop The Awkward Sprite Pausing In Battle

Hello, I was wondering what I would need to change so that the sprite animations, well the gif'd Pokemon animations don't awkwardly stop whenever you do an attack or choose an item or whatever. I wanted to know how to change this, because it just seems odd when the Pokemon just suddenly stop, then continue to animate again at the same time. I wanted to make it continuous just like in the Black and White games.
