I started out as a writer in the fan-fiction corner writing a lame journey fiction and then after a while, after I suggested that some of the people who were really interested in it (lol omg it was so bad) should write chapters, someone said that was kind of like roleplaying. So then I created a roleplay based on the fan-fiction. So my first roleplay was one I actually GM'd.

They were both terrible.

We only got through a bit before it just broke apart and some of the players left PC. There was a big argument that went on and I didn't know a lot of players back then but it was something that someone had said about someone else and it just collapsed.

Story
Centuries ago, a powerful sorcerer discovered a spell that would allow him to steal the magic of all the humans in Fargona. Once he had collected the necessary items, he enacted his plan, draining everyone of their magical abilities, including the magic necessary for dragon tamers, whom had once been common, to form a bond with their dragon. To prevent him from fully taking over Fargona, the most powerful dragons in all the land used their magic to seal him away in another realm while he was still recovering from using the spell. These dragons then mysteriously disappeared and were never seen in Fargona again.

Plot
After all these years, magic is slowly starting to return to Fargona. Sorcerers, though not as strong as the ones from the past, are once again becoming common throughout the land. There have also been stories of dragon tamers, though there is no proof that these rumors are true. The return of magic to the land has brought both joy and fear. There are those who believe that magic belongs in Fargona, while others are afraid of what the new sorcerers will do with their power. The dragons have also become restless, though no one is able to understand why.

During this time, dragons have also been disappearing. There have been reports of dragons, trained and wild alike, being seen in trance like states the day before they simply vanish without a trace. There have also been cases of sorcerers - many of whom are still learning about their magic - turning up dead with no sign as to how they died. Due to these incidents happening more and more often, the king has sent out his army to find the fabled dragon tamers in the hopes that they might be able to help save both magic and dragons from extinction.

Players would be dragon tamers and each would choose a dragon from this list (the ones in red are not allowed to be chosen, either for plot reasons or for convenience.):

Hmmm....this looks a lot like Eragon without Eragon. However, I do like the idea of different dragon breeds, and I would definitely be interested in this. I would have to know more though, before I made any conclusions on it. It seems like a good idea though.

• Why did the sorcerer want to steal all the magic? Is he evil, or just power hungry? Or both? Does he have a backstory?
• What type of magical abilities did these people have?
• Maybe you could say what happened after all the magic disappeared? I know the dragons sealed him away but how did the people feel? Did everything just go back to "normal" or was there mass confusion? Did the land go from its richness to a poorer state? These people just lost a huge part of themselves and they might have used their abilities to do daily work.
• Are all the players apart of the Kings army? (That'd be cool.)
• Since there are fearful people maybe the could be the opposition. Like make group that is strongly against sorcerers in Fangona
• Are the players going to know that they have magic? Or is this going to happen when they (assuming here) meet their dragon? Or are they starting with a dragon (egg)?

I think this could be a great RP, keep up the good work! :) And of course you don't have to answer these questions now just remember them for when you're writing. I know you said you had more details to write so yeah.

• He's power hungry, and if you consider trying to use magic to take over the entire land of Fargona evil, then yes, he is evil XD I don't know if he'll have much of a back story.
• There will be a large variation of magical abilities and the type of magic used will depend on what the person specializes in.
• Hadn't really thought much about that, but now that you mention it, I probably should add something about it...
• Players may or may not be a part of the kings army. It depends on what the player's back story is.
• That could actually be a good idea~
• The players will start with magic, but dragon tamers have rather weak magic seeing as most of their magic goes into the bond between themselves and their dragon. Their dragon will be one they meet by chance; I haven't decided whether players should start with dragons or if they should meet them near the beginning of the RP.

Also, you should make a lotof differences between dragons, like differences in size (I personally would love a tiny quetzalcoatl based dragon, one the size of an iguana or so :3 ) and the diferences in the fire they breathe (they breathe fire, right?) some could posses fire, some ice, some pure magic, some nature based, and some without fire breathing at all!
