Lincoln West

Okay, it was go time. John was starting out with his Growlithe, which suited Lincoln just fine. Since his dad had Hermes it was a pokemon he was pretty familair with, and John being a fire type specialist gave Lincoln an advantage as it was. Both Bixi and Siege were resistant to fire type moves - Bixi doubly so - which would limit John's options. Of course, a good type specialist prepared for match-ups like this. Lincoln certainly did.

Jackson on the other hand actually had no resistance to fire types thanks to his secondary steel nature - but normal type moves would practially bounce right off the sturdy little Shieldon. It would be best to save him for when John sent out Zovo the Eevee. Which left the option of Bixi or Siege to send out first...

Thinking about the TM he had bought for Siege not too long ago he made his decision.

"Yo, Siege. Come on over here buddy, we're gonna let Bixi take first swing in this one."
"Dude!"

Siege floated over to Lincoln's side, immediately beginning to wave his arms in the air and cheer on Bixi. Linc laughed - he felt good about his decision. And since Bixi had gone straight into her shell when she was sent out of her pokeball, she was conveniently already on the field of battle.

Jack Jacobs
Outside Pokemon Center------------> Fields
vs Tailow

Jack took a deep breath as he stared down the oblivious bird pokemon sitting atop the tree "This is gonna be too easy" Jack's voice was bursting with confidence or was this cockiness as the little bird looked as if it wasn't aware of the pending danger the skarmory was about to to put it in. Whirlwind circled the sky, just to stretch her wings she was very happy and the prospect of getting to fight the little tailow encouraged her.

"Fury Attack lets go!!" suddenly the skarmory began to make a bee-line and shot right towards the tailow. When the attack had passed the treetop was completely destroyed and Jack looked around frantically to see where the Tailow was falling pokeball in hand ready to throw it. Jack looked across after hearing the chuckles coming from Blade who was leaned against a tree "Whats's so funny" Jack asked almost angrily due to the frustration of not spotting the should be downed tailow.

Suddenly Jack heard yawning coming straight from above him, the tailow was on his head shaping Jacks hair and it got ready to sleep. "AAAAAAH!!!!" Jack shouted as he got the bird from off his head. Jack was both being impressed and angered by the little bird, somehow it was fast enough to dodge the attack and land on Jack's head almost instantly without being spotted by Jack or Whirlwind.

"Lets go Shadow" out came the ghost type and now it was a 2 vs 1 fight unfair but the quicker this ended the better and that was exactly what Jack was looking for.

Daniel Sabrak
The Beach

Alexis continued sprinting along on all four, keeping right behind Daniel, who didn't seem to be running at full speed, clearly wanting to give Ruby the chance to catch up with him. Him and Alexis had done a lot of running-climbing-jumping training back in the outskirts of Vermillion, which had given him a decent stamina. He –was- a little surprised at how quickly Ruby caught up with him.

He chuckled, looking to her with a challenging smirk. "Not bad! But you haven't won yet!" he called out, running off the path which swings to the right to continue towards the beach, moving up over a hill, the strands of grass becoming a lot longer.

Alexis giggled as she ran up alongside Hikari, glancing to her. "We're almost there! And I'm going to win this~" she called out, grinning a little. Alexis wasn't usually a prideful Pokémon, but she prized herself for her speed almost more than her looks. Almost.
She sat off in a sprint, quickly moving up in front of Daniel, who called out a "Hey! That's cheating!" before laughing as Alexis reached the small hill which was halfly made of sand, connecting to the beach. She leaped onto the somewhat steep side of it and slided down, running a few more steps onto the sandy beach before turning around, sitting down.

Daniel huffed a little as she disappeared off over the edge, but he was determined to at least –try- to beat Ruby. Bending slightly over, he sat off in a sprint of his own, not noticing whether or not Ruby was speeding up as well, he moved on top of the hill and began sliding down the side as well. He was direly hoping Ruby wasn't going to suddenly slide down past him and reach the beach and Alexis before him.

John Carden

Verno roared a surprisingly fierce and piercing howl, his fur bristling and eyes gleaming like the licking flames of a burning fire. John smiled to himself, though a part of him felt an unusual shame. He wasn't really expecting his team to pull out a win. Not only were they facing a serious type disadvantage, but as a trainer, John had no idea what to expect from Lincoln's Shieldon and Tirtouga. Still, there wasn't a chance that he wouldn't give it his all.

"Alright!" John exclaimed loudly, pumping a fist into the air. "You're all fired-up, Verno! Now go!" His fist shot forward and the Growlithe charged at the awaiting foe with an affirmative bark.

"Blow some fire into 'er shell! Get her out in the open!" John issued his first attack command. As long as that Tirtouga was all snug and comfortable in that shell of hers, he figured that Verno wouldn't be able to dish out much damage. Time to find out how she handles a shell full of embers.

Verno barked once again as he continued his headlong assault. Opening his snout agape, the Growlithe launched a flurry of fiery, burning embers aimed at the various openings of the Tirtouga's shell where her limbs had withdrawn.

Ruby Sapphire Fiona Destiny - Beach

Daniel seemed suprised by how fast Ruby had catched up and chuckled, looking to her with a challenging smirk. "Not bad! But you haven't won yet!" he called out, running off the path which swings to the right to continue towards the beach, moving up over a hill. 'Not yet! But i will!' Ruby kept giggling as she followed him keeping up with him.

Alexis ran next to Hikari. "We're almost there! And I'm going to win this~" she called out, grinning a little. 'Just wait!' Hikari said laughing. Alexis sat off in a sprint, quickly moving up in front of Daniel. "Hey! That's cheating!" He shouted out before laughing as Alexis reached the beach faster than them.

Daniel was huffing, which ment he was getting tired. But Ruby was getting tired as well. He started sliding of the hill, probely hoping he would be faster like that.

From all the fun Ruby jumped and also started sliding from the hill, she wanted to make a move that would make her faster, but remembered it was a ninjutsu move and she promised herself she wouldn't use ninjutsu this time. She immediately stopped doing the move but...

Ruby tripped over her feet and immediately hitted the ground, hard. She rolled down from the hill and once she was down she quickly grabbed her ankle. '(Ruby!!)' Hikari quickly slided down to and ran over to her trainer. '(Are you okay?!)' She asked worried. 'Y-yeah... Don't worry.' Ruby tried to pull of a smile.

The Beach

Daniel was almost at the bottom, as Ruby slid down next to him, and in the next moment, she stumbled and tumbled the remainder of the way. Daniel's eyes widened and he hurried down to the bottom of the hill, running over to her. "Ruby! Are you okay…?"

He knelt down next to her, Alexis, seeing this as well, hurried over as well, alerted. Daniel took a careful hold of her feet and slowly stretched them out in front of her, frowning a little as she seemed to wince as he did this. "Oh no, I think you've sprained your ankle… oh gods, I'm so sorry Ruby, I shouldn't have made you run like that."

He felt horrible, as if he was the one who had pushed her down the hill and forced her to twist her ankle. Her quickly reached into his satchel, fiddling around for a little while before pulling out a roll of bandage, sending her a little, sheepish smile. "… I always prepare for the best and the worst, heh. Hold still a moment…"

He gently pulled her shoe and sock off, shifting a little to lift her stretched-out leg into his lap and then began wrapping the bandage –carefully- around both her foot and her ankle, not restricting it, but supporting it. He spoke while looking down at his work. "I've… done this a couple of times myself, so I know how to take care of it. You've just gotta take it slowly the next couple of days and it should be fine." He finished the bandaging with placing a small piece of tape to hold it in place, gently tugging on her sock and shoe again, lowering her leg into the sand, sending her an apologetic smile.

"I'm… really sorry about this, Ruby… h-here, come on, let's find somewhere nice to sit and have our drink." He got up and dusted himself off, reaching out to her, offering her his support to help her stand up.

Jason Wolf
and this happened how?
Jason was more then surprised by what the girl said. He'd just come down to the beach for some good old fishing, and look what he reeled in. Jason walked out of the water and over towards the boy.

"Ok, so what exactly happened? He doesn't look injured or anything." Jason said looking the boy over.

Then Jason looked the boy right in the eyes. The kid's pupils had shrunken greatly, and hadn't returned to a normal size. The pupils get bigger in lower light, and smaller in high light. What was happening to this kid was the equivilant of a flashbang.

"And this happened how? His pupils are so small he can't detect any light. He's practically blind right now. Basically the muscles in his eye have stiffened up and now wont move. Its like a muscle crampt, but it could be something worse. You make sure he doesn't go anywhere. I'll go get a real doctor. I don't know how long this could last. On second thought..." Jason said rubbing the light stuble on his chin, "Go, Blade."

Jason sent out his Scyther, and pointed off towards town.

"We need a doctor, and not the pokemon kind." Jason said.

"Sci hi they!" (On it!) Blade hissed then flew off.

Ruby Sapphire Fiona Destiny - Beach

"Ruby! Are you okay…?" Daniel knelt down next to her as he quickly had hurried over to her. Alexis came hurried over as well.

Daniel carefully took her foot and stretched it out forward her, Ruby winced a little as he did that, it hurted alot. "Oh no, I think you've sprained your ankle… oh gods, I'm so sorry Ruby, I shouldn't have made you run like that." Daniel apoligized to her.

'D-don't apologize! It's not your fault... I was being clumsy again...' Ruby gave him a kind smile to show him it was okay. It was not like Ruby to fall like that, so she's not really used to the pain of a sprained ankle.

Daniel reached for his sathel and seemed to be looking for something. "… I always prepare for the best and the worst, heh. Hold still a moment…" he said as he took out some bandage.

He gently pulled her shoe and sock off, shifting a little to lift her stretched-out leg into his lap and then began wrapping the bandage around her foot, it made her blush a little as she saw how he was helping her out. "I've… done this a couple of times myself, so I know how to take care of it. You've just gotta take it slowly the next couple of days and it should be fine." He finished wrapping and attacked a small piece of tape on the end of the bandage to keep everything on place. Then he gently tugged on her sock and shoe again, lowering her leg into the sand.

"I'm… really sorry about this, Ruby… h-here, come on, let's find somewhere nice to sit and have our drink." He gave her a apologic smile as he got up. He dusted off his clothes and reached his hand out to Ruby, wanting to help her stand up.

'I-i told you not to be sorry, this was totally my own fault.' Ruby said as she took his hand. 'T-thank you for helping me out...' She blushed a little as she looked up at him and gave him a thankful smile. She got up but gently fell into his arms as she tried not to stand on her sprained ankle.

'S-sorry!' She quickly stands back on her own feet as she winces again a little from the pain, the bandage supports her sprained ankle though, the pain got less.

Danielle Accola - Pokemon Center

As the nurse returned Ozzy's Pokeball, Danielle immediately allowed him back out of the ball. Ozzy stretched out and yawned, and greeted Mienfoo. Mienfoo was still not wanting to get along with the Pachirisu...again. But at least he's still tolerant.

"Well, when we battle later, I'll see how good you are." Danielle replied to Mark and smiled. While he got his Sableye out of his ball, he took out a TM case full of TM disks. "For now, I need to go shop for a few things." She glanced at the PokeStore. Mienfoo and Ozzy were happy to go shopping, especially Mienfoo. He knows Danielle very well, so he adores to go shopping. Ozzy has yet to know her attention to detail.

She suddenly heard a few shouts and yells from outside, as people kept entering and exiting the center. It did come from Lucia and her battle, and the sounds were made by Diana, her Aron. Could Diana be battling finally? Danielle wondered how Diana was doing since her first battle. But unfortunately, she didn't want to leave Mark behind...unless she could get her shopping done quick, she could introduce him to Lucia.

Daniel didn't respond to her constantly saying it wasn't his fault, he simply smiled a little, still feeling at least a little guilty at her tripping. As he got up to help her up, he gave her a little pull, but she stumbled and fell forwards, Daniel panicking and quickly raising his arms to catch her. After a moment, his cheeks darkened and Ruby pulled back, limping slightly on her one leg.

"S-sorry!" she said, tryingly supporting on her foot. He gave a faint smile and waved his hand dismissively, trying to quickly move the subject to not make her notice his darkened cheeks. "It's fine! Hey, come on here, let me help you…"

He stepped closer and wrapped an arm around her back, letting her use him as support for the time being. He gave her back a little pat before helping her further down the beach, finding a nice spot before slowly helping her to sit. "Here we go. Are you sure you're gonna be alright? I can go get some ice or something to put on it."
He looked questioningly down at her, not wanting to sit down in case she needed him to go get something to quell the faint, thumping pain in her ankle.

Lincoln West

John was opening up the battle with a fire attack? That was such an obvious move for a fire specialist that it was... completely unexpected. Lincoln had been sure that John would try and come out with something unusual - after all, mono type trainers usually had to concoct some pretty crazy strategies to try and cover their weaknesses. Still though, Bixi was incredibly resistant to fire type attacks and would only take roughly a quarter of the damage the move would normally inflict.

The flames licked at her shell, causing her to pop out her head and flippers, patting out the flames irritably. Lincoln's expectations had been right, she seemed more annoyed than harmed.

"Alright Bixi, let's start out strong! Stone Edge!"

Bixi closed her eyes and began to concentrate, her body emitting a white glow which, after a moment, seperated from her body and split into several glowing orbs. The light of the orbs faded away, revealing pointed stones, which flew towards the Growlithe as Bixi opened her eyes and focused on him.

Ruby Sapphire Fiona Destiny - Beach

Daniel slightly smiled as he waved with his hand. "It's fine! Hey, come on here, let me help you…" He stepped closer and wrapped an arm around Ruby's back, so that she could use him as support. This made Ruby blush even more, she only hoped he wouldn't look down right now so that he won't see it.

Daniel gave her back a little pat before they started to walk down the beach. It didn't take long before they found a nice spot to sit, Daniel letted go of her and Ruby sat down, again she gave him a thankful smile.

Hikari looked at the two with an suspicious look. Ruby had blushed several times, that was weird even for her. Hikari glanced at Alexis as she still kept an eye on the two. 'Seems like you won the race, congrats.' Hikari said to her with a graceful smile.

"Here we go. Are you sure you're gonna be alright? I can go get some ice or something to put on it." Daniel hadn't sit down yet, he was probely waiting for Ruby to answer his question. 'I-i'll be fine, don't worry.' Ruby quickly said. 'T-thank you...' She quietly said as she looked down at her lap.

'P-please sit down, you have helped me enough.' Ruby glanced back at him as she smiled a little. It was really sweet of him to let her use him as support so that she could get on that spot. Ruby didn't really fell alot of pain anymore too.

'Your trainer is quite handy if it comes to situations like these...' Hikari said to Alexis, trying to get to know more about him from Alexis. Hikari found it her duty to keep all the boys away from her Ruby, so that no one will hurt her.

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Lucia smirked as Kane fell and Diana let out a joyous cry. She gave a small dance, before realizing that there were people and pokemon around and quickly fell back into her battle pose. Lucia smirked with Roberto just grunted. Lucia looked at George, knowing exactly which pokemon he would send out next and watched the Bagon head on in. Diana stayed tense as the Bagon ran right at her and slammed into her with its head.

"Stay strong Diana!" Lucia shouted as the Aron let out a grunt as the attack hit and she staggered back, shaking a bit on her four legs. "Now, go in for a Metal Claw Diana!" She commanded. The Aron ran up to the Bagon and raised one of her front limbs as the claws on it glowed a bright white and she attempted to slice Uhuru.

Mark observed his new TM's... Subsitute, Toxic, Rest, Reflect, and Brick Break... He didn't need to give Trick room to another Pokemon yet but he had a good idea for what different Pokemon he could give each move too. He started out by letting Len out of his Pokeball. He had two moves to teach him. Rest and Brick Break. Just another hard hitting attack for him to make use of. Rest was mostly a means of healing but at the moment, it seemed like a very risky move... He figured he'd find a way to make it more useful... He then remembered.... he DID have a Lum berry. He figured he could put that to use... yeah. Wake up as soon as he's fully healed. That could work out nicely.

Len was taken care of. So he returned him to his Pokeball. He didn't want too big of a crowd at the moment. Next was his new Pokemon, Gligar which he still had to nickname... though with his new line of TM's, maybe he could make use of them on his new Pokemon. He let Gligar out of her Pokeball. She shook her head a bit feeling a bit dizzy from the previous battle and looked around curiously, aware she was now a captured Pokemon. She turned back to Mark but looked back up to Snype curiously again, starring at him.

While she was distracted, Mark used his other two TM's to teach Gligar Toxic and Substitute. Mark knew very well what a pain Toxic was as a move and how dangerous it could be when used in battle. Seeing how Gligar was more defensive it was bound to work nicely. He just needed a way to expand on that strategy... For now he was pretty set. He returned Gligar to her Pokeball.

Mark quickly sat up and looked at Danielle.

"Alright! I think I'm pretty set for battle now." Mark said.

Daniel Sabrak
The Beach

Daniel returned the smile, lifting a hand to scratch his arm sheepishly. Alexis was peering up at Daniel just like Hikari was with Ruby, peering at him curiously. He usually behaved oddly around girls, but he was just stumbling all over himself right now. She turned to look at Hikari as she spoke, letting out a faint smile.

"It don't feel like much of a victory if someone's hurt during the competition. But you were still really fast!" She said, complimenting Hikari with a warm smile. She then decided that this was where they could be, and sat herself down on her rump.

Daniel scratched the back of his neck, glancing up towards Oak Town again. He wasn't entirely happy with just sitting down, when he felt that what had happened to Ruby was his fault. He did, however, eventually sit down, though not exactly right next to her, more like half-facing her, his legs outstretched in the sand as he took a moment to pull his shoes and socks off, digging his toes into the sand with a smile.

"Well… if you're sure. Just let me know if there's anything… alright?" He gave Ruby a little nod, placing his hands behind him as he leaned a little back, enjoying the warm sand and the sun, tilting his head a little back to peer up towards it.
"So, uhm… what Pokémon other than Hikari do you have? If you have that many badges, you must have like, tons of really rare or strong ones, right?"

Alexis tilted her head a little at Hikari's comment, her paws resting on her belly and her tail curled up in the sand behind her. "Daniel's always been one for preparing as best as he can. I think it was his mother's doing that he's gotten such a mindset." She shrugged lightly. "He always prepares himself with –anything- you could need out in the wild. Even if he loves adventure, he makes sure that he won't be crippled if something bad happens. Always brings first aid kits, potions, pokéballs… you name it."

Daniel glanced down at Alexis and Hikari, wondering what they might be saying… and what Ruby might be hearing. He glanced up towards her again, blinking his eyes a little as he saw a light flush on her cheeks. Deciding it was rude to stare, he looked back out towards the ocean.

Ruby Sapphire Fiona Destiny - Beach

"It don't feel like much of a victory if someone's hurt during the competition. But you were still really fast!" She said as she complimented Hikari and gave her a warm smile. 'Thanks.' Hikari returned the warm smile but then looked up at Daniel and Ruby again, keeping an eye on them. She was giving a glare to Ruby as Hikari saw she was blushing.

'Is there something wrong Hikari?' Ruby asked her with a questionating face, not understanding why her pokemon would glare at her. '(Nothing wrong...)' Hikari replied still watching her, which made Ruby nervous.

Ruby saw how Daniel sat down and pulled of his shoes and socks so that he could dig his toes in the sand, then she saw him smiling.

"Well… if you're sure. Just let me know if there's anything… alright?" He gave her a little nod as he placed his hands behind him so he could lean a little back. It seemed like he was enjoying the sun.
Like this she found him actually looking quite handsome.

"So, uhm… what Pokémon other than Hikari do you have? If you have that many badges, you must have like, tons of really rare or strong ones, right?" Daniel asked her. This question suprised Ruby a little, she did have alot of strong pokemon and a few rare ones.

'Well... I have a charizard, but he's a little... Moody and a espeon, those two were Hikari's first friends.' Ruby told him. 'I also have an swampert, and a delcatty, Arcanine, Persian and a Latias.' Ruby said softly and melody like. 'I didn't really caught latias... She was having problems with people who wanted to catch her for bad meanings. When i had helped her escape she wanted to stay with me.' Ruby looked up at the sky as she remembered that day.

'Oh! And right now i have a Zorua, a Vulpix and a eevee.' She took at 3 pokeballs and looked at them. those three were probely sleeping so Ruby kept them in the pokeballs. 'But all the pokemons i have catched so far are at my home, my sister, Cecilia, cares for them.' Ruby explained.

Alexis rested her paws on her belly as Hikari asked her about Daniel. "Daniel's always been one for preparing as best as he can. I think it was his mother's doing that he's gotten such a mindset." She shrugged lightly. Hikari nodded intressed and waited for more.

"He always prepares himself with -anything- you could need out in the wild. Even if he loves adventure, he makes sure that he won't be crippled if something bad happens. Always brings first aid kits, potions, pokéballs… you name it." Alexis continues. Hikari kept nodding.

Hikari was confident to find Daniel's bad side and kept asking questions. 'Did he ever had a girlfriend?' Was her first question. 'Did he ever got into fights?' Was her second one. Ruby wasn't really paying attention to the two pokemon and tried to enjoy the sun a little. She then took out the soda's and handed Daniel one with a cute smile.

"...The boss asked me to give you these. This pokemon is very strong--like Rhyperior here. Use it to...assert yourself" Was what Arcadia said to Zora before handing her a single Pokeball and some shades. She was about to ask why she had given her shades but she explained that to her also. She smiled at her and then heard her say not to get caught by the "big carts" she said if questioned to lie or even start to cry. That wouldn't be to hard for Zora because of all the lies that had been told to her over the years and she had more than enough tragic things happen in her life. Arcadia suddenly said that I had a Visitor and pointed down towards Zora's feet at the little Mudkip that stood there looking up. She slightly smiled and took out a Pokeball and slightly tapped its head with it and a red beam came out and sucked the little pokemon into the Pokeball. It shook a couple times then glowed showing that she had successfully caught it. She picked the Pokeball up and put it on her belt. She now had four Pokemon. She probably wouldn't use the Pokemon she got from Arcadia unless she was asserting herself and trying to get somebody to join Team Rocket. Then she remembered about the shades and put them on and held the button down until it turned on. The look on her face was just a look of amazement.

The Beach

Daniel's eyes widened slightly at the mentioning of the different Pokémon. He had no idea what a Latias or a Delcatty were, but… a Charizard and an Arcanine? Ruby has just won herself all of Daniel's respect in one, quick swoop. He nodded his head slowly, before looking to her Pokéballs with a smile.

"Awh, Vulpix and Eevee. Those are really cute. Heh, you've… got a lot of really impressive Pokémon, Ruby. I've only recently caught my first Pokémon. Alexis was given to me by my father, when I turned ten."
He sent a warm smile to Alexis, who seemed busy chattering away with Hikari. Speaking of, Daniel gave the dog-Pokémon a little sideways glance after Ruby had asked it what was wrong. It kind of frustrated him not being able to hear what they were saying.

He let out a little huff from the warm sun and tucked off his satchel and jacket, leaving himself in a white T-shirt, placing his things next to him. He then blinked as Ruby smiled softly and gave him one of the sodas.
"H-heh, thank you." He said as he took the soda, opening it and taking a little sip, his toes curling up and wriggling into the sand, enjoying the feeling of it.

"Mh… so what've you been up to today? And… uh, how long have you been here on the academy? This is my first –real- day here, so… I'm kind of excited." He said with a light, sheepish grin.

Alexis gave her head a little shake, her ears lowering a little while she glanced down into the sand.
"He's never really had any friends, honestly. Neither of us have. We grew up in Vermillion, and we sort of just… stuck to ourselves. Trained, ran around. We've only had a couple Pokémon battles, but Daniel isn't exactly a guy who runs around, shouting at people to fight him. He's pretty timid, actually."

She looked up again, smiling up at Daniel. He looked down at her, blinking in surprise before shrugging and smiling gently, lifting a hand to ruffle her head softly, causing her to murr out happily. "Chuuu~"

"Awh, Vulpix and Eevee. Those are really cute. Heh, you've… got a lot of really impressive Pokémon, Ruby. I've only recently caught my first Pokémon. Alexis was given to me by my father, when I turned ten." He smiled at his Raichu as he said that, but both Alexis and Hikari seemed busy talking.

Daniel pulled of his jacket and removed his satchel, only leaving him in a white t-shirt. Then he took the Soda Ruby handed to him. "H-heh, thank you." He opened the can and took a sip. Ruby gratefully glanced at him but then turned away to take a sip herself.

"Mh… so what've you been up to today? And… uh, how long have you been here on the academy? This is my first –real- day here, so… I'm kind of excited." Daniel asked Ruby. 'I arrived yesterday, today was my first day too...' Ruby said a little embaressed. 'So... Did you made any friends yet?' Ruby asked Daniel while facing the sun with closed eyes, catching the sunshines in her face.

Alexis looked at the ground. He's pretty timid, actually." Alexis answered Hikari's question. "((Damn, still no bad habit found))" Hikari thought.

Alexis looked up at Daniel, he looked back at her with a suprising face, then he smiled at her and softly patted her head "Chuuu~" Alexis seemed to like it. Ruby smiled as she saw the two like that. It made her feel warm inside as she saw Daniel treating his Pokemon with love, she had seen a few people today who weren't like that, the boy who battled with Kilik for example.

Dante and Combusken turned around see that a Beartic was coming straight at them. It was at that moment that Dante realized that the Cubchoo was Beartic's offspring.

"Run, Combusken", Dante said as he started to run from the Beartic. Combusken stayed behind and looked at the Beartic. With this Dante stopped and looked at Combusken. "Alright, if you want to fight him, then go ahead. Use Ember, now."

Combusken looked determined and shot out five small fireballs at Beartic. The Beartic, whom was still enraged, fired off several particles into the wind which came down on Combusken. As they came down, the attack began to look like Icicle Crash. The two attacks that Beartic and Combusken collided. From those two attacks, Beartic was still standing while Combusken was kneeling on one knee.

"Combusken, are you alright?", Dante said to Combusken, as the Young fowl pokemon looked like he was getting up. But, Combusken was a breathing heavily as if he was tired. Just then, a reddish glow was admitting from Combusken. "Combusken, use another Ember."

This time the ember attack became five huge fireballs instead of five small fireballs. With the empowered Ember attack, Beartic was unable to withstand the attack and was knocked out.

"Good job, Combusken", Dante said, taking out Combusken's pokeball. "Return and take nice long rest."

The red beam from the pokeball enveloped Combusken and was pulled into his pokeball. After that, Dante started to walk away and head for the snow mountain that was off about 2 miles from where he was standing.
