Gen 2, 3, and 4 Pokemon have been coded in and some are already available in-game. Lots of move fixes and various updates have been applied including some Johto maps and gyms. You can refer to the patch notes at http://pokemon-planet.com

The casino has been added. Crafting, held items, and a reworked fishing system are coming soon.

Altering cave has been added: random spawns that change everyday as well as wild pokemon that are equal to your average level. 6 unique drops are also found in this cave!

Altering cave can be found on Route 103_2 in Hoenn after you have 2 Hoenn badges.

Looks like a great game. But then again, there's also Pokemon 3D, in which is the same thing as Pokemon Planet, but instead is a combination of:
-Gen 2(Mostly Pokemon Gold) style 3D gameplay
-Black and White(Hidden Grottoes, having B & W online Gamejolt player sprites)
-X and Y(PSS)
All 721 Pokemon will be available in one game and in all regions(Johto, Kanto and Sevii Islands are currently available).
I'm just a bit worried which game is gonna be 'The Top Gun" in the Bootlegged Pokemon Game Business.

Just started playing this today 10/19 and so far I like it. It's been a while since I've played any of the pokemon games. Last game I played was pokemon gold and silver so that tells you how long it's been haha. The only thing that bothers me is when you get attacked by a random pokemon all i hear is music. I don't hear any of the combat at all. Like when you go to attack i hear nothing but music. I don't see any of the animation other then ember. When I throw a pokeball it doesn't show it getting captured. I know there all small things but the small things tend to bug me the most. Keep up the good work though.

Ehh, the game itself is okay. It's a decent MMO attempt at Pokemon, sadly though I'm not used to playing pokemon in anything short of 5x the normal speed so it's not quite for me since as it's a MMO I obviously can't speed it up. But otherwise, good job.

So I have been playing this game for about a week now and I love everything about this game. However, I have one minor issue with the game and that is the chat room. Would you ever be willing to implement something such as turning off the chat window? or creating private chat? I have been muted twice because of it and I find it to be useless and annoying. The first reason I was muted was because I was trying to get my character to move and couldn't figure it out until I saw it in the chat window so instead of holding down backspace (Which I probably should have, probably would have prevented this whole mess.) I just pressed enter again. There was no "1st warning" I was just muted for 9999 minutes and they said don't spam but I couldn't explain my circumstances, I only did it once completely by accident. The second time I asked that moderator why he was basically the equivalent to Joseph Stalin? and muted again by a different moderator. (People just love to hate me!)
Now I'm not asking for those moderators to go away but, I am asking that the chat could be more user friendly. Without moderators jumping off their rocks and muting/banning anyone at will without a fair warning. Maybe you could do something like the message would only show up to people in the same area of the map as you, if you wanted to talk to someone in a different part of the map then you add them to your friends list and send them a private message?! I really like this game, I mean really like this game. However these moderators are Tyrants and I want my freedom of speech!

P.S. my username is King3985 on Pokemon Planet

I'd like to clear this up a bit. Please, take no offense.

The mods are there to make sure there is no spam and rule breaking. The mute IS your warning. They aren't required to give you a warning at all. If you were muted for 9999 minutes, it was probably by Brody, the creator. If you filled several lines with one letter of spam, your probably did receive a long mute.

Then going on to insult staff is also a bad idea.

That aside, this game is amazing. Everybody should come and try it out. :) (though the server is down atm)

I would like to say that Pokemon Planet Online is a really awesome game, I've been playing it since November of 2014 off an on and I have enjoyed every bit of it.

There are PRO's and CON's of playing PPO, and I am going to fill out some of each for people to get an idea in case they read this thread and decide to try out the game!

PROs
Kanto and Johto completed: Hoenn is complete from a developers stand-point as far as I am aware it's just being held back so certain updates can be performed before releasing the rest of it!
A ton of awesome Pokemon to obtain! (Beldum, Slakoth, Riolu via Casino - Larvitar via Clan Wars - A ton of Elite Rare's to obtain from different maps such as Goomy, Dratini, Bagon, Electabuzz, Snorlax, etc!)
Active Clans! (This is a really good one because a lot of people love having a little family they can join and being able to have fun with a lot of people!)
Wonderful Community:This game has a great community, minus the few spammers but as a Moderator you can be rest assured the job gets done and the community benefits a lot from it.

CONS
Spam happens quite a bit, and it can be bad at times but it usually is easily handled by us Moderators!
You may find it hard to get into one of the more established Clans unless you can establish yourself as a well-dominant force to be reckoned with.
Lastly, the amount of grinding in later levels can possibly turn you off from playing, but a lot of people love the grind as well.

I hope this helps some of you who have noticed this thread make a decision on playing the game! You will enjoy it most likely!

Sincerely,
Chat Moderator Tw3lveG4ge/Gawerty
