Anime/Manga Ace Attorney

We all know they can't do that, but ok, this is an anime, f*ck the Habeas Corpus principle lol

I wonder if the anime won't show the lawyers taking recess. Perhaps a bit early to tell, though. Otherwise, I did notice for the crowd watching the jury the animation looks exactly like the game. Shouldn't be surprised because of low budget and all, but can't help but how it classes with the animation of the main characters.

Otherwise, the way the final trial is handled I think is enjoyable. I like where the show more or less kept the part where Phoenix tried to press Redd over the wiretap/light stand

So it does look like the show will skip the recess parts. This particular change I'm iffy about as the game's recess cutscene shows how Will Powers keeps his costume in his room but someone stole it when he took his nap. Probably he'll mention that in next episode. Seems Penny has been skipped too, but I guess the episode pretty much more or less give an idea what happened so far.

Wendy Oldbag was very enjoyable in the anime as she was in the games (and Edgeworth's blush, haha). With Maya having that book from the boy, I wonder if they'll skip Mia's scene. Probably she'll still make an appearance.

Edit- Oh, one last thing I want to mention. Interesting Manfred von Karma made an appearance early this season.

It seems a lot of stuff has been cut out, like the sleeping pills and the steak. The show probably is handwaving that with the other actor stealing Powers's costume while napping and nothing else. Mia's appearance was also cut, but that's fine because it's a bit fanservice anyways (and I love Mia, lol). Cody isn't in the trail but he still gave out some important information to Maya and Phoenix.There's also Vasquez's connections to the mafia and Global Studios cancelling the show, but that's probably going to be mentioned in the trial episode next week. I think the biggest disappointment of all though is the game version Gumshoe made a big appearance saving Maya and Phoenix from the mob and in this episode he just appeared to say Vasquez will be in court. Oh well.

I can't remember if this happened in the game but Maya and Phoenix watching all of the Steel Samuari episodes is amusing. Oldbag is still also pretty funny whenever she talks fast, haha.

Obachan is the best lol, most of the seiyuus are doing a great job.

I agree episode 7 has some good character moments, like Cody's and Edgeworth. Nice to see the part where Edgeworth helps Phoenix cornering Vasquez. The part where he also fumbles after objectng was amusing too.

Okay episode, the real fun will begin when Phoenix and Van Karma duke it out in court. Glad the DL-6 incident is referenced and more amused the show kept the part where Maya asks the fire department concerning a fire hose, lol. I like Maya's serious parts in the episode too.
