Canada; simply the shadow of the United States....Not anymore!

After hearing of USA's attempt to beat Japan at their own game, Canada's people have decided to join in; to show the world that they're not jut some land of ice... That they can bring heat to the battlefield of Pokemon.

In each province of Canada, there is a Pokemon Gym along with the respected Gym Leader. The gyms are located at said provinces' capital city. Such as Regina in Saskatchewan.



Rules:
*Win some, lose some. Ya can't win against EVERY gym first try. (Unless you've trained insanely and you have an amazing battle)
*Maximum 3 Pokemon on you at once. You may keep more in a PC
*Follow the sites' set rules
*No god-modding/bunnying/marysues

Name: First Name + Last Name

Gender: Male or Female

Age: 13-20

Height: How tall is your character? (Feet-wise. Such as 5'5)

Skin Tone: Olive skin? Pale? Tan?

Appearance: Does your character have blonde long hair? Or short curly red? Freckles? Wear glasses? Scars? What do they tend to wear? Do they have good fashion sense? Green eyes? Minimum one paragraph.

Personality: How do they normally act? Is there any chance in their personality when with people? Minimum one paragraph.

History: Optional. Any length. Don't kill off their parents!

Advantages: What are they good at? Besides Pokemon things

Disadvantages: What do they lack in?

Pokemon: Minimum 1, maximum 3. Basic or first evolution. No legendaries. No fifth generation Pokemon. Moveset can be up to six moves.

Just because I reread the rules because I noticed that they were updated for 2011, I feel like I have to say that this is definitely not stealing from the plot I created earlier. She PM'd me asking for permission, and we have some plans for a continuation RP that'll kinda combine the two separate storylines into a single plot.

I'll probably be joining this one too, honestly :)

Name: Spencer Hicthorn

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Height: 6'1

Skin Tone: Tan-ish :)

Appearance: Spencer is dark haired and dark eyed, keeping his hair trim for the most part. He always wears a grey beanie. His dress consists of a white-t shirt and blue jeans, with a small backpack to hold his things, and a grey jacket that he usually wears.

Personality: Spencer's a very calm and relaxed person, usually slightly lazy and apathetic in some cases. He doesn't let much bother him. When it comes to pokemon battling, however, he does have a change of heart, doing whatever it takes to get the win.

History: He was born in Goldenrod city, and raised by foster parents in Azelea. He late found out that his biological parents were happily married, with two children, and he had been a 'mistake'. He's always held a deep hatred for both his parents for that fact, though he has kept in some contact with his brother, Michael. He took the gym badges of Johto, but has never challenged the league.

Recently, Spencer's gotten an interest in the Grass type, beginning. He's found himself becoming more and more driven to achieve great things in the realm of Pokemon, deciding he would return to Johto after defeating Canada, to take down the league with his original team. He's also set a longterm goal of becoming a member of an elite four as a Grass specialist, something that no one has done before.

Advantages: He's fairly good in social situations, and he definitely knows how to relax the body and mind, having experienced a diverse kind of therapy sessions out of personal interest. Aside from that, he's more or less useless.

Disadvantages: Everything that has any kind of merit in the real world. (Aside from Pokemon, he's not bad at that.)

Pokemon: Bellsprout, Exeggcute, and Shroomish.

I'd like to reserve a spot as well. Although it's a silly idea for a roleplay, I don't mind being involved in it. If it's possible, may I reserve the spot for the Psychic-type gym?

Eh, I can live with being a Trainer. May I make a suggestion? I think we should start out with mid-leveled Pokémon, somewhere between 20 and 30. After all, Canada probably has some powerhouses to face later on.

I was actually planning on having all Pokemon start at lv. 25 XD

Name: Adrian Allister

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Height: 6'2

Skin Tone: Pale

Appearance: Adrian's physique is instantly recognizable: tall, thin, and gaunt. His razor-cut choppy navy blue hair falls to his shoulders, flawlessly straight. His green eyes seem sinister, but this is attributed to his infrequent blinking. Because Adrian dislikes any sort of formal wear, he is not picky on his attire. He mainly wears a plain gray shirt with a black long-collared jacket. His navy blue jeans are tight in the legs, mainly for fashion purposes. His tan satchel (used for carrying his Poké Balls and other items) sits on the left side of his studded belt. Jet black sneakers streaked with soft silver complete the ensemble.

Personality: Adrian, at first glance, seems foreboding. However, those who know him well know that he is not at all a shady individual, although he occasionally has his pensive and somber moments. Adrian is cool and composed, and doesn't take life too seriously. He prefers to talk in a small group rather than mingle. Although he seems serious, he does have a humorous side, often making jokes for comedic relief when appropriate. He cares deeply for his allies, especially for the females. In battle, Adrian is a brilliant strategist, able to predict the battling style of his opponents with ease. He treats his Pokémon like lifelong partners rather than tools of war.

Advantages: Besides being intelligent, Adrian has the uncharacteristic ability to remain calm in times of crisis, rarely ever showing signs of distress.

Disadvantages: Although Adrian is excellent personality wise, his secret lustfulness can sometimes get him in trouble. He finds girls very attractive, and will occasionally stare at those he finds pretty. However, he is able to somewhat contain these urges.

Just the fact that it takes place in the real world. Slice-of-life never appealed to me. But since I can't seem to find any other decent roleplays, I have no choice. It still seems fun, though.
