Claim Your Own Country Thread


What is the CYOC thread?

This thread is where you can claim any country in the world, from the past or present. You can have a maximum of three countries claimed. There are TEN claims allowed to each country allowed, this is because there are only so many countries you can claim. Post any questions if you have any. This was approved by Chibi-chan and Arcanine.

You don't claim the country you live in. You can, but you don't have to. You can claim any country.

The limit is now 15!

How do I claim a country?




  • You are allowed to make up to 3 claims:​
  • You have to keep your claims for one month (or 30 days) before you can change them​
  • A country can have up to fifteen people claiming it
    • I will allow there to be five more claims to sub-category countries. That is let's say, Japan is full. Ancient Japan would be a 'sub-category' country in size one text, it can have 10 more (or 5 and another sub-category [let's just say Communist Japan] has 5 more.)
  • If you change your name, please PM me​
  • You must have at least 50 posts before claiming or you will be denied​
  • Do not PM or VM me about your claims unless I overlooked them​
  • No fake, imaginary, etc countries
    ​
  • Please use the following form
    • Username
    • Country

Perks for Supporters


  • Haha, I don't think it is strange for supporters to get perks. Any tier one through five supporter can request a change after just 15 days instead of the normal 30 days
  • Tier three supporters and up can have five claims instead of the average three
  • Tier five supporters and up can bypass the fifteen claims per country limit!

Am I allowed to claim Nazi Germany? If yes, could I claim it under the name "Großdeutsches Reich"?

Yes. But it will be listed as this:

Germany (Third Reich) 1933-1945: Vendak

Also, it will be in size 1 text because it is a sub-division of the Germany section. Still counting towards the 10-person limit.

Edit: Just saw your edit. I will put it as that with (Germany) beside it.
