Oakley is short but lanky individual with shaggy strawberry blonde hair which goes to her shoulders and bangs that fall over her eyes. Her eyes are a piercing yellow like a hawk. She has a number of scars along her arms and chest from a situation involving Vigoroth. Due to her upbringing, she has particularly bad hygiene, which is something she commonly gets teased about.

Personality: Pros:
Loyalty: Oakley is extremely loyal to any friends she makes and will always stay by them and offer her help, however this could have a downside as she can react badly to people who lie or betray her.
Knowledge: Growing up on a ranch, Oakley does have quite a firm knowledge about Pokemon, particularly Fire Types which her grandfather specialised when he was a gym leader.
Sense of humour: Oakley is fine with harmless teasing and is always up for a good laugh. She will crack one-liners when she gets the chance and takes most things in good humour, though like everyone, she does have her limits.
Friendly: Oak is a very approachable person who is often willing to meet new people and she doesn't like seeing people sad, afraid or not having fun and will take it upon herself to make them feel better.

Cons:
Obliviousness: While nowhere near stupid, Oakley does have some dim moments and is easily distracted or tends to zone out, which can cause her to miss important things. A lot of the time, she is often unaware of what is going on and thinking about other things.
Laziness: Oakley loves sleeping and has a habit of sleeping in a lot or, if she is sitting in one place for too long, she will tend to nod off. She can be reluctant to do any work or travelling but will go along with it after some persuasion.
Big eater: That is a complete understatement. If there is one thing Oakley loves more than Pokemon and sleeping, its food. She has a particular fondness for junk food and hates vegetables and when she has access to food she really stuffs herself and Arceus help you if you take her meal from under her nose. Depending on the situation, Oakley will often find food more interesting than anything going on around her and will get upset if she doesn't eat for some time.
Very poor hygiene: Due to working for long periods of time on the ranch with her parents as well as her tendency to oversleep, Oakley would often either forget to or not have time to have a bath and this eventually became a habit, even after she left for her journey. She also has a fear of water which doesn't do her any favours.
No Goal: Oakley worries terribly since she really doesn't know what she wants to do with herself or where she wants to go in life. She doesn't like talking about it and will keep it to herself unless it is pried out of her.

Background: Oakley lived on the ranch with her mother, father and grandfather.
Oakley is very close to her father, Selix and is eager to please him. She worked alongside him in the ranch and it is Selix who had given her Blue Flash, her Ponyta when she was 10. Though he does love his daughter and encourages her to expand her talents, he is easily frustrated by Oakley's laziness and occasional obliviousness. He was the one to encourage her to go on a journey, hoping for her to grow.
Juniper, her mother, was a lot more concerned. She was a shopkeeper, as well as a ranch worker and is a very hard working woman. She does worry about Oakley when she is away, concerned that she will get into trouble. However, she does understand that her daughter needs this and encourages her. Oakley is extremely close to Juniper and can become homesick when thinking about her. Oakley worries relentlessly about her grandfather, Suber, who was very ill when she left for her journey. He taught her how to look after Pokemon and even taught her the basics of catching them. He was once a Gym Leader before retiring to the countryside where he built up the ranch with Juniper, his daughter. Having grown up on a ranch for the majority of her life, Oakley doesn't really know what she wants in life. The only real reason for her going on this journey was for her to travel and learn more about the world, she is unsure as to what she actually wants to get out of this trip. This puts a huge strain on Oakley emotionally which causes her to sometimes shut herself away from people and not open up. However, Oakley is extremely interested in learning about the world of Pokemon and what it holds.

Robert is, for the most part, quiet and nonchalant. He prides himself on his ability to appear cool or composed outwardly, despite whatever doubt or alarm may be going through his mind. Sometimes, of course, this 'coolness' can cause him to appear cold to other people, and with his responsibilities back home, helping his father establish his business, Rob's reputation has become that of 'the perennial new guy'.​

Strengths:

• Collected - As stated above, Robert is always cool and collected, whether or not it takes any effort to be in this mindset. This allows him to look at the situations he gets into from a practical viewpoint, and makes him an able problem-solver, and a good tactician.
• Knowledgable - Robert's father was a fairly renown breeder in Goldenrod City, but he lost most of his clients (naturally) when he moved his business to Viridian City. Lacking proper aid, funds, and installations, it became Rob and his brothers' responsibility to help their dad with business, so Rob knows a lot more about Pokémon than many of his peers.
• Willful - Inspired by the exploit of his (and every other kid's) hero, Red, Rob (despite his practical mindset) glorifies the concept of willpower, and pushes himself and his Pokémon to become the very best version of themselves they can be, so as to never have a need to give up.

Robert, who prefers to be called 'Rob', was born in the bustling metropolis that is Goldenrod City, the commercial capital of the Johto region. His family consists of his father Edward, a highly-touted breeder in Johto, his mother Kaitlyn, and his younger siblings, John and Brandon. They moved from Goldenrod to Viridian City in Kanto so as to escape Team Rocket's rampant corruption and control of the city of Goldenrod, only for Giovanni, the Viridian City Gym Leader, to be unmasked as the Team Rocket leader a scant few months following their move. However, they were nevertheless able to establish themselves within the community.

Although Robert's parents (his father, particularly) have been adamant in pushing him and his siblings to enter the breeding business (and despite the fact that Pokémon breeding has been Rob's life), Robert dreams of journeying as a Pokémon trainer, taking on the Gym Challenge, and becoming a Pokémon Champion in the likeness of the now legendary Red. Thus, he has taken his loyal pet and companion, Princess, and registered as an official Pokémon trainer.​
