Time for another update on my Ground UMC! With 6 badges down in LeafGreen, Ruby, and Platinum, 11 in HeartGold, and 7 in Black, the end is in sight! It feels like I've just started this challenge, but it will be exciting completing the games side by side!

I said I wasn't gonna do this til spring break, but I figure that since I can chug through Colosseum easily, I'll save Gale of Darkness for then, since I find it to be more difficult.

My team will probably change around a bit, given the nature of the game (and Swablu is Normal, but changes types upon evolution so eh). I'll be considering all 48 Pokemon as Snagged to be a complete game, meaning I'll be going all the way to the Impostor with Shadow Togetic. Unless you want me to stop after the main story. It doesn't matter, and there aren't any written standards for this game. I will probably go through this a bit slowly (even though I just said I can chug this game like root beer whaaaat??)...hopefully it'll be done before spring break though.

Oh. And. What are you doing here? ...Okay, I can't hack in any Pokemon. I just wanted to say that. Plus I'm crazy for signing up for this now. Gosh. What AM I doing!? Bahhhh!!

You're free to decide when the challenge ends for yourself on that one. I will count the end of the story as the end, but if you want to play through more than that, more power to ya. Just post saying you're done when you reach the point of stopping. And Swablu can be used as long as you don't evolve it, since its evolution is not Normal type. Wasn't really sure what you were getting at so I thought I'd make sure I clarified that real quick.

I'll probably go off to the end then, just cause it's been so long and I've been itching to play this game. Thanks. And yeah, I meant I'd use Swablu temporarily, as it'd be better to have more Pokemon on the team considering this game is a bit harder than the main game. I'd probably just leave it Shadow, or dump it after purifying it. ...I can't be mean to a Swablu lmfao. :(

edit: Oh hey! I can totally utilize the secret phrase thing, but it would be during post game. I can trade in a Normal type into Colosseum then, right?

Been breezing through this challenge since it's a lot of fun. :D I'm at the Rocket Hideout now in Mahogany. And holy crap I just ran into Suicune like five minutes ago and was like "what" haha. Keep switching my team around since there so many awesome normal types available in this game. ;_;

I thank Miltank for knowing Surf and helping me beat Jasmine, otherwise that fight would've been a pain. Also, Strength is a lifesaver HM for challenges like these.

What are you doing here?

Okay today i will continue my Ultimate Poison Challenge in Hoenn, after my First Poison Monotype adventure in Heartgold.

I will be Playing Emerald with an Emulator.
My team will at first be:
Seviper
Weezing
Tentacruel

i will use my free hack to catch a Seviper in the beginning of the game. I really love snakes and i have never used Seviper, because i had ruby version when i played pokemon years ago.

i will add more to my team if i need to at some point in the game, but Hoenn don't really have any cool poison types other than seviper and i don't really feel that i want to use Gengar again as that is one overpowered beast

We started our adventure by blowing up Team Snagem's Hideout. Awesome intro, isn't it? We beat a guy named Willie and then made enemies with some thugs and Snagged their Shadow Pokemon. Eventually, we got our first two Normal types, Noctowl and Furret and weaned ourselves off from relying on our trusty starters, Umbreon and Espeon. Many moons later, we got Dunsparce and Swablu. Good thing Swablu isn't going to be a permanent party member. Adamant? Yuck! We just purified Noctowl and Furret and they were named Noctis and Faline respectively. Now we're off to Mt. Battle to see what the trouble is!

When I realized my team was not doing well against the Rock types that the Mt. Battle takeover put me against, I went back to Pyrite to grind up some levels. With that came purifying Dunsparce! She received the name Diaega to celebrate. We had a scare in the battle with Dakim, but we caught Entei with relative ease. We lost to Mirakle B later down the road, but came back to kick his butt. Lady Venus went down easily, however Snagging Suicune wasn't as easy as his friend. We got it nevertheless, along with a few other Pokemon afterwards, one of which is now a party member! That one? That'd be Stantler! But after all that today, I think that's pretty decent progress for the night. What's in Stantler's future? Find out in the next update!

Update #7 on my HeartGold grass monotype run, now with 12 badges! I feel like I did so much this time, and forgot lots of details. >_<

Spoiler:

-Did the S.S. Aqua stuff and disembarked at Vermilion City.
-Cleared the trainers north of Vermilion before heading into Vermilion Gym (with a Surfer).
-Completed the annoying trash "puzzle" (hmm, I thought I remembered the doors being deactivated already...) and faced off against Lt. Surge. Not a difficult battle at all--just a matter of getting in a Leech Seed before Double Team gets nasty. And... that's all I can remember about it. Well, aside from winning the Thunder Badge.

-Saffron Gym came next. Like Lt. Surge, Sabrina wasn't too difficult. But unlike Lt. Surge, problems came in the form of a crit-happy Alakazam. ¬_¬ But I caught a break when it didn't crit, so yeah, Marsh Badge for us.

-Went to Celadon to get a Poké Doll for Copycat, but I guess I got my games mixed up. >_< Unless that's after the Power Plant stuff...
-Anyways, I decided not to do Celadon Gym yet and went to Cerulean. Here, I found out that I had to do the Power Plant quest first, so I went back to Celadon. Man, strange how unfamiliar I am with Kanto in the Johto games... Well, Celadon Gym. The Gym itself was a bit annoying for some reason. Erika herself wasn't too bad from what I remember. Though that Jumpluff was sneaky (U-turns and switching in to an Earthquake), it did set up Sunny Day for my Chlorophyll-filled team, so that was nice. ^-^ Other than that Jumpluff, I hardly remember this battle, but whatever happened, we won the Rainbow Badge.

-So, back to Cerulean. I cleared the Cerulean Cape, and Route 9. Finally, we got the Power Plant functioning again, so we bother Misty on her date.
-Back at Cerulean Gym, we faced Misty. I mainly relied on Sunnybeam here, until her Starmie came out and Ice Beamed Cilantro (Sunflora), who already took damage from two of Golduck's Psychic attacks. Man, it's fast (but then again, Sunflora are really slow, even with Chlorophyll). But after that, Starmie was no problem, and we earned our Cascade Badge. That's 12!

-Currently, I'm staring down at the mouth of the dreadful Rock Tunnel (bringing my Slowpoke with Flash).

And here's the third update for FireRed. I currently have seven badges.

-Silph Co. finished. Annoying because of all the poison-types Rockets love to use. Not because it's Silph Co., as I actually don't mind this part of the game. I think I may even like Silph Co. >_<
-Beat rival at Silph. Wasn't too tough, except for his lucky Charizard. It really likes waking up early, it seems.
-Saffron Gym was next (two Sabrina updates in one update!?). I don't really remember what happened here (again). She wasn't too bad, though. I think Azuki (Exeggcute) took care of things until Alakazam came out. That was Fava's (Nuzleaf) job. So we got the Marsh Badge as proof of our victory.

-Surfed to Seafoam Islands, realized something, then went back to Celadon. Here, I bought two Leaf Stones.
-Returned to Seafoam Islands and got through the dungeon, including defeating Articuno. I believe Azuki evolved into Exeggutor in here (after learning Solar Beam).
-Reached Cinnabar and cleared the routes around it. In doing that, I caught Alfalfa (Tangela) just south of home. Interesting that I've finally created a full team right when we came full circle. ^-^

-Did the Cinnabar mansion stuff and unlocked the gym. I wanted to evolve Fava, and I was worried about this gym, so I did lots of grinding in the mansion. Got to level 49, when Fava learned Extrasensory and evolved into a Shiftry. ^-^ Everyone was the same level because that's my style.
-I really overestimated Cinnabar gym... turns out I was a bit overleveled. Oh well. Cassava's (Parasect) Dig took out Growlithe in one hit, even with Intimidate, and almost took out Ponyta before it got off a Fire Blast. Fava finished it off, after he used a Hyper Potion. Rapidash wasn't much danger either because a Fire Blast missed. I think his Rapidash hit her with something else? Or did Fava survive a Fire Blast? Don't remember, even though I did this less than an hour ago. >_< Anyways, Fava was able to get a hit on Arcanine before going down. I think. I brought Garlic (Venusaur) out next. Sleep Powder and Fire Blast missed. Then Sleep Powder hit, allowing a quick Leech Seed next turn. But he used a Full Heal. So Sleep Powder missed twice more, while Garlic got Fire Blasted. Sorry, buddy! Azuki came out next and took revenge with a Psychic, winning us the Volcano Badge, making seven badges! I really expected that battle to end up much worse.

-Bill appears and takes us to One Island.

Another update on Firered Grass UMC. Beat Sabrina and Blaine, He hit 1 Fire Blast with Growlithe against my Exeggutor after I put up a Light screen which only did half so amazing then he missed all of his Fire-Blast's, even Arcanine missed hah even the strongest attack is useless if it misses. But, I guess if he didnt wanna miss he should have used ember. lol

The game is done i beat the elite four but i didn't have any internet to be able to update
