Just started forcing myself to listen to songs in English. My ears have never been tuned to American Rock or Pop or Rap or the like, but I'm American, so I might as well listen to American music, too.

But my Japanese music stays. All of it.

It's not like I'm in love with Japanese music specifically, though. I just happen to watch a lot of anime and Japanese games (though I love J and Western games equally) tend to put more emphasis on music than Western ones, so I get a lot of it presented to me, and that's the problem. English-language songs aren't presented to me in the same ways, which is disappointing, because there are tons of English songs that I like, and I really do want to get into them. Really, the only types I don't like are Screamo and contemporary rock songs singing to teenage individualism, which is why I'm finding and downloading 80s Rock songs, and I'll segue myself into more music.
