Brogan

The boy who walked over to Brogan and Mark hadn't bothered to introduce himself, or even ask her identity, and Brogan Houghton-Taylor was not the kind of girl to put herself out there, so to speak. If this kid didn't already know who she was, she had absolutely no interest in pursuing any kind of communication with him - she didn't know his face within a room of strangers, he was of no consequence.

Ignoring him completely, Brogan turned to Mark and frowned slightly as though concerned at what he was saying. She wasn't. She wasn't even totally sure what he was talking about - something about staff, a pokemon centre and breaking up fights...oh. So that was the class of this institution..fabulous. She would have to have a word with Father about increasing her personal security...

"Red haired boy?" she asked Mark, moving her hair from her face as she turned and looked out in front of her, noticing that the other boy had left them. Good, she hadn't particularly wanted to talk in front of him...but she could only ignore him for so long without seeming rude...which, of course, she was but she didn't particularly want anyone to know that as of yet. "He's called Calnith...and yes you're right, he is a lot of trouble..."

Letting the ominous statement hang in the air between herself and Mark, she wondered if he would pick up on the implied meaning, the implication that Brogan knew more than she was letting on. If he didn't, well, that was just what she expected but it would be interesting to see nevertheless.

"Alright I'll see you Vince!" Mark said as he left. Brogan then spoke up about the red haired boy. His name was Calnith apparently. If she knew his name, more then likely, she had been in his presence.

"Alot of trouble huh? So... you've been around him have you? If you know his name then surely you've been hanging around him or spying on the guy. Honestly, I'd love to exchange info on the guy but I don't really know much about him. I doubt he'd be happy with me being near him either. He punched me in the face after all." Mark explained.

MacKenzie's Post

MacKenzie grinned as Beest hovered along, carrying her down the mountain and back towards the school. Just one more detour through the forest. Beest slowed down as she came to the forest, mainly due to not wanting to ram into a tree on accident. MacKenzie yawned lightly, though the flight was far from relaxing. Beest was not exactly the smoothest flier, especially when she was dodging trees. Abruptly though, MacKenzie noticed something about the trees. Suddenly the sky was much more visible. She looked up. It was then she realized what was causing this. All the trees. They were bare of leaves and looked rather sickly. It was rather alarming. All these trees. They were... dead. Her attention was diverted so much that she didn't notice the rather sudden presence of ghost pokemon around her. There was nothing particularly abnormal about the ghost pokemon, other than the fact that they were /there/. They were simply going about their business.

Abruptly Beest made a sharp turn before abruptly stopping and letting go of MacKenzie in a rather dangerous fashion. MacKenzie only had a moment to be surprised before she was sent tumbling across the grond, scrabbing her arms up and knocking her hat and glasses off her head, exposing messy white hair. Said glasses were promptly stolen by a mischevious ghost pokemon. Meanwhile, Beest struck at the air with her twineedle attack, stricking at rather eratic locations as if trying to hit an invisible foe. She then stopped after a moment, appearing majorly stressed out. MacKenzie groaned and grasped at her head, having taken a pretty rough fall. She reached around for her glasses but couldn't find them. She did however find her hat, which she put back on. It was then she became aware that something was not right.

It started with a feeling of cold, icy dread welling up in her gut. It was an irational feeling. She had no idea why she felt that way. She wasn't cold. She didn't know what she was dreading, but she /felt/ it. It was just /there/. She involuntarily shivered and looked around. As she did so, she thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye, a black silhouette of some sort. Whatever it was, it was moving. Her attention was immediately drawn, but when she looked, she saw nothing. She now knew how Beedrill felt.

...Something was there. She could feel eyes watching her. This time she had a reason to feel dread. Why couldn't she calm herself? She willed herself to stay cool, but it was like swimming against a rip tide. She looked around frantically, trying to catch sight of whatever it was, but there was nothing. She backed up towards Beest. This was way to freaky for her tastes. She wanted to leave right then and there. Yet, Beest was clearly very spooked, and she doubted her ability to calm her without first leaving.

She saw movement again, but this time it wasn't from the corner of her eye, and this time when she looked, it definitely was still there. It was some sort of... blob. Said blob was floating in the air. MacKenzie felt a powerful chill run down her spine. This was either a new type of pokemon, or... She didn't want to think anymore of this place or what she had just seen. She was now officially spooked. She promptly turned tail and /ran/ in the opposite direction. Beest just sort of followed along after a moment. Beest had not seen the apparition. What they had both been feeling was the aura said to hang around the forest. Different people saw different things, none of which could be caught on camera.

Not long after MacKenzie started running, something drew her attention. It seemed to be a pale young man, a bit older than MacKenzie. He was pretty filthy. It was as if he had been out here for weeks or even months on end. Smelled pretty bad too. Yet, that was not the oddest part of what she saw. He wore a golden mask on his face, the design on which vaguely resembled a crying face. How eerie. Why did it look so familiar, peering at her with those empty eyes? She was not about to stick around and find out.

She managed to clear the dead part of the forest without issue. After she had gotten a good distance away she turned to look behind her. Clear. She shuddered and slumped against a tree, pulling out her tablet and just sort of staring at it for a few moments before going to pull up info on the part of the forest she had just been in. It didn't come as a surprise to her that there was info on it. The word 'aura' didn't even begin to describe how powerful the feelings she had gotten were. They were so real! She became disturbed when she read that there were actually real police warnings about a murderer in the area. Was that young man..? No. They were looking for a girl. She searched further before eventually finding out that apparently what she had seen was a Yamask that had stolen someone's body from them. What a horrible fate, alive but unable to control oneself for eternity. Or at least until it got tired of the body it had stolen.

"Y'know what... let's go around that part of the forest."

MacKenzie remarked as she got back up. Screw that forest. It was then she noticed a rather familiar gold mask. Her eyes widened as she immediately turned to face him. The young man had /followed her/, or should she say the Yamask. She was going to put an end to that. She grabbed one of her pokeballs and sent out her Smeargle, Peinture.

"Peinture, Aeroblast /now/!"

Peinture seemed to hesitate a moment before beginning to glow with a blue aura. He then leaned forward and opened his mouth, a ball of orange energy forming there. The Yamask just sort of stopped in it's tracks and held up it's hands as if to ward off a blow. Peinture then shot off a torrent of concentrated hurricane force winds. The Yamask was blown straight off it's feet and went flying into a nearby tree, slamming into it with a rather loud crash before collapsing. The golden mask fell off as it did so. Meanwhile, the aeroblast decimated the first unlucky tree it happened to hit, causing it to snap and fall to the ground before the blast dissipated.

Peinture seemed to cough and shake his head. MacKenzie grinned. Peinture was not the strongest pokemon, but Peinture had /all/ the coolest moves. MacKenzie returned him though, as he couldn't really carry her back. She then motioned to Beest.

"Cmon, let's get out of here."

Beest then went about picking MacKenzie up and carrying her off. After a detour around the relatively small dead section of the forest she managed to get back to The Academy in one piece this time. She promptly headed back to her dorm.

((One epic joint post of epicness courtesy of Selena and Yellow?? Why, yes! Here it comes! ^_^))

Valorie's Post
Selene's Post

Valorie looked over at the twins. She observed the whole scarf wrapped around their face deal and considered trying something similar. Without her hat her face was pretty cold. Yet, it was her ears that were bothering her the most, and there wasn't a whole lot she could do about that without becoming some sort of fashion faux pas. She casually moved some of her hair out of her eyes. Her hair had a tendency to ocassionally obstruct her vision without her hat to keep it in check.

She then blinked. Had they called her pokemon awesome? Someone obviously had good taste! After a moment she smiled at the two. Then of course, blanked as she was challenged to a battle, specifically a double battle. Well that certainly sounded fun. Which three pokemon would she use though?

She looked over at Selene as Selene spoke up for them. Selene then went on to claim that they'd be an epic team before taking Valorie's hand. Valorie found herself blushing, though she made a strong effort to keep herself composed. What an inconvenience.

"That sounds great!"

"of course it does!" exclaimed Selene excitedly, punching the air and pausing, looking at Valorie more closely as she pushed her bangs to the side, the twin girls taking their places across from Sel and Valorie appearing to be deep in discussion. "Val...what happened to your beanie?" asked Selene, realising what looked different about Valorie. She'd only seen her without her beanie briefly a handful of times, but before she could answer a shout came from one of the twins. "okay, let's get this going shall we?" she shouted, releasing a Machop as her sister released a Haunter.

"let's show them what we can do," grinned Selene, pulling Blu's Pokeball from her belt and releasing him - cat would be susceptible to the Haunter's ghost type attacks, but Blu's aerial attacks could smash Machop out of the water. "go Blu, use Fly!" instructed Selene, watching as Blu soared into the air before nose-diving down towards Machop, who was ordered to counter with a Thunderpunch...drat..."evade!" yelled Selene, watching happily as Blu turned over into an Esquiva as taught in the air away from the punch and maintaining his momentum to loop up over Machop and slam the fighting pokemon into the floor.

Valorie froze up when Selene asked her where her beanie had gone. The cut on her cheek was probably partially hidden by her hair, but it was still visible if one looked. How did she go about explaining that she had been attacked by a wild Tauros and it had stolen her beanie? Seriously, where did she even start with that?

Her thoughts were interrupted as those two sisters released their pokemon. Valorie paused a moment before looking down at Trapinch.

"...Alright, Trapinch! You know what to do!"

Valorie had pointed at the Haunter. Trapinch just sort of looked up at Valorie blankly before trotting on over towards said Haunter. Valorie knew that a single bite from Trapinch's horrifically powerful jaws would be all it would take to take down most ghost pokemon. Unfortunately, Trapinch was absurdly slow, and so Haunter would have plenty of time to react to her approach.

"Blu, use your Ice Beam!" shouted Selene, watching horrified as Machop's hand shot up from its position on the floor, grabbing Blu's wing before he could make a swift getaway. Blu whirled around, steadying himself with his other wing and fired his Ice Beam at the Machop, who had somewhat short sightedly put himself within range to fire out his Seismic Toss at the order of his trainer. Unable to avoid the beam, the Machop managed to throw Blu down onto the ground before he was frozen solid. Luckily Blu had type advantage on his side, and soared up from the ground without much trouble. "Fly, Blu! Hurry, before she can heal Machop!" Selene ordered, watching as the girl rummaged in her bag for some kind of potion. As Blu smashed down onto the frozen Machop, the ice shattered into shards that tumbled down onto Machop as he crumpled on the floor, knocked out.

"Alright Blu!" exclaimed Selene happily as the girl growled, recalling her Machop and sending out a Nosepass with a somewhat smug smirk - this must be her trump card, Selene figured, the Pokemon did seem well-trained as she observed it. But then, so was Blu and her other Pokemon.

The other sister looked at Trapinch skeptically, as if trying to figure out what the plan they had was. After a moment she ordered Haunter to use Confuse Ray. Haunter's eyes glowed an eerie purple. Trapinch proceeded to stop and open her mouth as if to bite an unseen foe, yet, abruptly closed it again. She proceeded to stand there and stare at Haunter, her eyes glinting in the sunlight. Even Valorie was having difficulty telling exactly what had happened. After a moment the girl opposite her smiled in satisfaction and ordered her Haunter to use Shadow Punch. Valorie looked on with dismay as Trapinch just sat there and took the attack. Yet, it was not over. Immediately after being struck Trapinch simply bit the hand that had struck her. Valorie winced as Haunter cried out quiet loudly. Trapinch's bite was something to be feared. Haunter just sort of convulsed before fainting. The other girl seemed surprised. Valorie supposed not everyone could be so aware of all the different pokemon and the exact details of their powers. The girl returned her Haunter, sending out a Combusken. Valorie pulled out her pokeball and immediately returned Trapinch, despite the type advantage. She then thought about her pokemon choice for a moment before sending out... Charmeleon. Why wasn't she comfortable sending out her newer pokemon into battle? Perhaps she was simply afraid of losing.

"Rock Throw, Nosepass!" shouted the girl and Selene winced inwardly - Rock. If that rock hit Blu, then he could end up being in danger...only thing was, Nosepass didn't look particularly speedy and Blu's evasion in the air was second to none. "Blu, use your Astonish!" shouted Selene, watching as Blu careered over the Rock Throw, swooping down on Nosepass and screeching loudly, the Nosepass stepping backward with a small stumble, enough to allow Blu to knock it over as he slammed into the Rock pokemon.

Sel couldn't help but let out a small hiss of triumph, she just knew that Blu wouldn't come up short. Even despite the type disadvantage, she and her Swablu had such a connection...but glancing over at Valorie's Charmeleon, Selene frowned a little. Why wasn't she using Frillish? Had she ever actually used one of her lesser-trained Pokemon in a competitive battle? She couldn't remember ever putting one of her pokemon up against one of Valorie's newer catches...

Shrugging it off inwardly, Selene held out Blu's Pokeball and returned him, reaching to her belt and unclipping Cat's Pokeball. "Okay Cat, let's go!" she watched with a grin as the Abra uncurled her tail, swaying it back and forth as she hovered in the air, staring straight ahead at the Nosepass. "Cat, Psybeam!" she instructed, watching as Cat seemed to glow slightly purple before shooting a beam of psychic energy at Nosepass, striking it down instantly before it jumped back up, leaping into another Rock Throw. Cat automatically threw up her Barrier in front of the Rock Throw, Selene somewhat surprised by her defending without instruction, and shaking it off before ordering another Psybeam, that Nosepass rolled out of the way of. Gritting her teeth, Selene smiled in a way that looked not unlike a grimace, realising that this Nosepass would be more difficult to beat than she had first thought.

Valorie stared at Combusken, trying to analyze the pokemon she had never seen before. What was with the humanoid chicken? She found herself being distracted by... other thoughts. So much so that she hesitated to make the first move.

The sister controlling Combusken quickly ordered her pokemon to use Crush Claw. Combusken abruptly ran at Charmeleon, brandishing it's claws menacingly. Valorie only had a moment to react.

"Charmeleon!--"

Charmeleon, not really being one to wait for orders, was ready to fight back. She wasn't going to stand there when a pokemon came at her with a challenge. What she did. As Combusken charged her, she simply stood there. When combusken neared, however, she abruptly shifted forward, violently tilting herself forward and slamming her forhead into Combuken's. Combusken, being only around 2/3 Charmeleon's height, was knocked straight on it's back. Valorie winced. Ouch. That Combusken just got punked. Charmeleon leaned over, peering down at the fallen Combusken and snarlin and simultaneously snorting fire. Valorie couldn't help but feel that this looked a little like a scene out of some movie in which a bully beat up a nerd. It seemed to have an affect, as Combusken seemed to become unnerved, attempting to squirm away.

Combusken's trainer called out for it not to give up, and to use Crush Claw again. Meanwhile, Charmeleon sewed a flamethrower. The flamethrower hit, but it wasn't all that effective. It was then Combusken realized that Charmeleon was not about to stomp it into the next direction, but rather it could very well put up a fight. Combusken pulled through the flamethrower with only mild difficulty, striking Charmeleon in the gut with a crush claw. Charmeleon doubled over a bit in pain, griting her teeth and squinting, only to have a second crush claw strike her from below. Charmeleon was sent stumbling backwards. She then opened her eyes, only to have Combusken headbutt her in the chest. That... was a mistake. See, Charmeleon was only capable of knocking Combusken down because she was bigger. Combusken rammed into Charmeleon's chest. It hurt, but it was not enough to take her off guard a third time. Charmeleon opened her eyes, which were glowing white. The flame on her tail suddenly shot up with enhanced vigor and she abruptly spit draconian flames directly into a Combusken, who had no chance at all at dodging at such a range, not that it had had much chance to dodge to begin with. The attack was fast and precise. The sort of thing you'd need a bit more than good reflexs to just dodge out of the blue. Combusken cried out, proceeding to collapse. It had fainted. Valorie pumped her fist, rather exillerated. Two out of three. She was on a role. Charmeleon raised an arm over her chest. She was clearly feeling the pain from the attacks she had taken. Valorie took the liberty of returning her for a rest. She then hesitated. Should she use one of her weaker pokemon? She knew she should, but she was afraid of /losing/. She didn't take losing gratefully. She made a snap decission right then, based on an impulse. She sent out Axew. The girl paused for a moment, giggled, and sent out... a Nidoqueen.

"Okay Cat, let's get this Nosepass beaten! Use your Teleport and hit with Psybeam!" instructed Selene, noticing out of the corner of her eye that Valorie had sent out Axew...against Nidoqueen...woah, that would be a tough call but if anyone could answer it it was Valorie. Even though Axew was a newer pokemon, Selene just knew Valorie could win. Turning attention back to her own battle, Selene smirked at her opponent who frowned slightly, obviously not expecting the small Abra to beat her sturdy Nosepass. But Selene knew the girl was overconfident in the defensive capacity of her Nosepass...it was TOO sturdy to compete with a foe like Cat...

As Nosepass threw another Rock Throw at Cat, Cat vanished in mid-air and on reappearance instantly pummeled the Nosepass with a Psybeam. The Nosepass' face scrunched up as much as was possible, so much so that it looked both uncomfortable and in pain, before attempting to retaliate with a Stone Edge. But as Selene had suspected, the Nosepass was already a slow mover and with the mental strain of the Psybeam it had to think and work even harder before attacking. By that time, Cat had vanished and reappeared behind the Nosepass, keeping up the unrelenting Psybeam until the Nosepass cried out and fell on it's front. With a roar, the girl returned the Pokemon and glared up at Selene.

"You think you're good don't you?! Well! I'll show you!" she threw the ball...and released a Nidoking...oh this would be interesting. Selene returned Cat and paused for a moment before sending out Ri, which made the girl laugh. Yes, many people would assume that sending a fighting type out against the ground/poison Nidoking was suicide, but Sel and Ri had some moves up their sleeves.

Valorie just sort of went blank at the sight of a Nidoqueen. It was as if alll her fears about underestimating people had just turned around and laughed in her face. Crud. Nidoqueen was clearly the stronger of the two. This called for strategy. ...Except for the part where she had no strategy. She hadn't had enough time to properly train Axew and give her a proper strategy to use. This looked like it was going down hill very fast.

Of course, that was before she actually started battling.

"Axew, Dual Chop!"

Axew ran at Nidoqueen, who was ordered to use body slam. Nidoqueen waited until Axew got close before flinging herself at the small dragon pokemon. Axew promptly dodged by jumping into the air. She could jump surprisingly high, Valorie noted. Axew proceeded to fall onto Nidoqueen and strike it not once but twice with her tusks. Nidoqueen's spines raised up in a defensive maneuver, attempting to afflict Axew with poison.

"Axew, get away from those spines!"

The spines however failed to pierce Axew's scales. Axew jumped off, scratching Nidoqueen as she did so. Nidoqueen turned on Axew and narrowed it's eyes. It was a staring contest. The girl then ordered her Nidoqueen to use Iron Tail. Valorie winced. That would hurt real bad if it hit.

"Axew, use Dragon Rage!"

Axew readied herself before spewing purple flames at Nidoqueen. A crash was heard, and when the flames cleared Nidoqueen was down. Valorie was honestly surprised. She had expected Nidoqueen to be stronger than that. She silently vowed to get her pokemon some moveset training later on. It would involve hurting her wallet though. She didn't mind though. What was money not well spent?

The sister Valorie had just beaten seemed surprised as well. Perhaps it was the size difference, but both had expected Nidoqueen to be much stronger. Unfortunately for said sister this was not the case.

"Nidoking, Earthquake!" ordered the girl, and Selene glanced up at her slightly in shock - Earthquake was a somewhat powerful move to be pulling out so early in the battle...especially for a girl who had taken one look at Ri and practically laughed out loud in Selene's face. She was obviously going to be throwing everything into this fight...Nidoking was not one to be beaten apparently. Throwing a brief glance over at Nidoqueen and Axew, Valorie seemed to be holding her own for certain.

"Use your Force Palm, Ri!"

As the earth shook, Selene braced herself against the vibrations that seemed to be focused on the centre of the battlefield towards Ri. However, the girl had obviously underestimated Ri's nimble feet and speed - which was shown as Ri bounded over the shaking earth, stumbling once as the earth under them cracked throwing up a few shards of ice that had been over the surface, before smashing into Nidoking's side with his Force Palm.

"Good! Now use your Bone Rush!"

As the Nidoking tried to push himself to his feet, Ri was unrelenting and hammered down on him again with the Bone Rush. Selene winced slightly as Ri was thrown backwards by a well-placed Mud Slap, landing on his back a few feet away from Selene and leaping back to his feet, landing oddly on one of his legs. Sel suspected that Ri had hurt one of his legs, but as he flipped backwards over an impending Mud Slap he seemed to be doing well, or at least not letting it get to him.

"Okay, let's finish this! Low Kick!"

Now Nidoking was back up steadily on his feet, it was the perfect chance to use his massive bulk against him. Ri charged forwards, dodging each Mud Slap that was sent his way and flew down into a crouch in front of Nidoking - before the Pokemon could retaliate, Ri had swept his feet out from underneath him and the Nidoking came crashing to the ground, his tail falling out limply beside him. He had fainted.

Selene and the girl looked up at each other for a moment before the girl returned her Nidoking and nodded, stepping forward and holding her hand out to Sel.

"That was a great battle. I knew it would be. Your Pokemon are very well trained," she complimented, Selene laughing slightly and shaking her hand in return, smiling as Ri limped over to her side. She hugged his shoulders lightly and patted his head.

"Yeah well...they're very talented in themselves. Thank you, it was a brilliant battle, and I hope we get the chance to have a re-match one day!"

"I'm counting on it," laughed the girl lightly, moving over to where her sister was and leaving Selene to turn to Valorie.

"...Wow much?! Great battle Val!! Maybe we should pull a Nidoking, Nidoqueen combination..." she said thoughtfully - the sight of the two opposite Pokemon beside each other in battle was an amazing one

The other sister briefly took a moment to wave at Valorie before giving her sister attention. Valorie only smiled in response. That had gone better than expected. She then turned to Selene. Something about a Nidoking and Nidoqueen combination? She thought about it for a moment. She wasn't sure if Nidoqueen or Nidoking were here thing. Regardless, it didn't sound that bad of an idea.

"You think so?"

It was of course getting dark. That meant it would be getting colder. Valorie knew this well, but didn't let it concern her. The biggest thing on her mind was not being a distraction. Besides, she had been in much colder environments at night.

"Oh sure I do!" smiled Selene, reaching into her bag and taking out a potion, before crouching down and spraying Ri's injured leg liberally and rubbing the solution into Ri's muscle. She felt his leg twitch beneath her hand and looked up, noting his face was extraordinarily concentrated...he must have been more injured than she'd initially thought. Smiling apologetically, Selene stood up and turned with a sigh to face the environment around her. It was getting darker now...she hadn't realised just how much time she and Valorie had spent battling those girls, the saying was true, time flies and all that...

"Well...I suppose we ought to be getting some rest..." Selene paused, biting her lip. Now she felt pumped...she was on a roll and whilst Blu, Ri and Cat could use a break Ryan, Sharpay and Gordon hadn't had a shot in that battle, she couldn't help but feel the desire to stay up some more and train...turning to Valorie she started, noticing a cut on her cheek that she hadn't picked up on during the battle. She moved slightly closer and frowned slightly, her fingers gesturing towards the gash. "Valorie...how did you get that?"

Valorie took a deep breath. She wasn't used to sleeping outside. She was almost sure she'd wake up with a sore back or head... or something like that. Dang ground. Well, at least she had brought a blanket! Then Selene pointed out the cut on her face. Sure she had others, but that was the worst of them, and the only one on her face. Seeing as Valorie couldn't see her own face, she hadn't really been aware of it's existence. Her only conclussion was that it must've happened when that Tauros attacked her.

She just sort of froze up for a moment when asked. Back to trying to figure out how to explain that. She supposed she should be honest, even if it was kind of embarrassing. She just sort exhaled, proceeding to lower her gaze and say in this rather pathetic tone.

"A wild tauros roughed me up and stole my hat..."

Even just explaining it made her feel like a clown. After all, every other awesome trainer would just wrestle down several hundred pounds of raw muscle with their bare hands, /right/?!

Staring at Valorie for a moment, Selene re-processed the words her friend had just spoken. A...Tauros? Attacked her? After initially thinking that Mark would have a field day when he found this additional information out, Selene had to force herself to hold back a guffaw. Not at Valorie of course. Never that - she was worried for her friend, Tauros were ridiculously strong Pokemon...not many humans could survive a wrestling match with them. But...stealing her beanie? Since when were Tauros hat-thieves?! That was humorous on many levels...but Selene hoped that Valorie hadn't seen the amusement flit across her face - she felt that her friend wouldn't take it all too well, judging by how embarrassed she sounded.

"That...is unbelievable! You're lucky you escaped with just a cut...and hatless obviously, but rather hatless than lifeless I suppose..." she said, frowning slightly. "Have you been to get checked out? Is nothing else hurting?" she wanted to make sure that the Tauros hadn't injured her further - a night out in the Icy Plains could exacerbate any further injury and Selene didn't want that.

Meanwhile, Gordon and Ryan launched into an impromptu sparring session. Ryan smirked slightly before throwing a Thunder Wave at the Fire Monkey, who rolled out of the way just in time and scowled at the lightning mouse before throwing an Incinerate back at Ryan. The Incinerate clipped Ryan's tail, leaving a shiny burn on the end of it that caused Ryan to hiss angrily before firing a Thunderbolt right back at Gordon, who was hit full on by it. Ryan watched, anxious to see if the shock would have paralysed Gordon...but no, the Fire Monkey seemed to move somewhat slower, his fur sticking out with static, but as he charged at Ryan with his Fury Swipes he obviously wasn't paralysed. Waiting until he got within range, Ryan let himself be hit once with Ryan's sharp claws, leaving 4 thin red lines across his arm before hitting Gordon with a strong Thunder Wave, ensuring the paralysis of his opponent. As Gordon moved round slowly, the paralysis hindering his movement, Ryan hit him straight with his Volt Tackle, knocking the paralysed Pokemon over onto his back. With one final Quick Attack, Gordon succumbed to fainting, leaving Ryan to leap up in triumph. Looking over, Selene tutted and grumbled, reaching into her bag and pulling out a Revive, giving the medicine to Gordon before spraying him with a Potion when his eyes flitted open. Glancing at the burn on Ryan's tail, Selene rummaged around in her bag...no Burn Heal. Oh hell.

"You don't have a Burn Heal do you Val? Ryan and Gordon got a bit too excited..." she rolled her eyes and tutted, looking just like a mother whose two young children had grown a little too raucous for her liking.

Brian

Bri yawned and stretched out. It was starting to get late. Bouncy looked up at him with a sleepy smile on her face.
"Buff?" she asked. Bri blushed a bit.
"Sorry I woke you up Bouncy," he said. He placed her next to Duster, who's tail curled up around the little pokemon in her sleep.
"So, you're probably gonnan get out of here tomorrow," Thyme said. Bri nearly jumped through the roof.
"Thyme! I thought you were asleep!" Bri said quietly.
"No, just thinking," she said. Bri could guess what about. It was either her worrying about him, or her obsessing about Snype, or her fuming about Ellie.
"About what?" Bri asked. She looked up at him.
"That guy that hurt me like this earlier today," she said as she returned her gaze to the roof. Bri seethed inside. He didn't even know who it was, or why they had done it, but he was angry. For the first time in years, Bri wanted to hurt someone. He wanted to get revenge for Thyme. He shook his head. He didn't like being angry like that. But, he was. He hated that person, and he didn't even know his name! But, Snype and Duster would know. Mark probably would too. He made a mental note to ask one of them in the morning. He didn't think he was strong enough to battle him, and he definately was in no shape to fight him. So, what could he do? Man, what a dilemma. He sighed, realising there was nothing he could do right now except get stronger like he had planned. The rest would fall into place.

Quincy

Quin sat watching the waves go by. He patted Zemda on her head and she crooned happily at him. Zara snickered at him.
"What are you laughing at?" Quin asked. He was rather bored. He should have been there days ago! Damn martians! They always messed things up for him! He smirked to himself as he recalled how he had escaped them. They had been in their disguise as a human, this time one guarding the entrance of the boat. Quin had hidden himself away, and when they came looking for him (how they knew he was there, Quin had no idea. Must have used their mind path probes or something.), Zara had shoved them down and dove into the water. But, he had known he couldn't swim all the way there, so Quin had called upon Zemda to carry him, which she was more than happy to oblige. So he had been at sea for several days now, Zemda swimming her way toward the island that the top secret trainer academy was. He had one purpose. To train himself up to take on Galtor and his minions of despair. Oh, and Team Rocket, of course.

"You. You are so dumb. You could have just swam and got on the boat. But, no! Quin wanted to ride in on Zemda! Well, at least you'll make an impression," Zara answered. Quin shook his head.
"I was going to make an impression anyways, Zara. You have to present a strong front, or the Moxins will not respect you!" Quin said as if Zara had said the dumbest thing in the world. Honestly, Zara knew all about this, why were they even talking about it? Zara seemed to agree and fell silent. Zemda crooned joyously again. Quin stood up on her back.
"Zara! Do you see that? Land!" Quin cried happily.
"Of course I can see it dumba**! You think I'm blind?" Zara replied angrily. Now, they just had to... Wait out here until morning to be sure they weren't followed. If Quin rushed to the shore now, then he would have led everyone and their brother to this top secret academy. And, by nature of it being a highly restricted government facility, Quin knew all about it. So, he settled down and directed Zemda to join the other few Lapras that were swimming around these waters. Something she was only to happy to do.

(OOC: Pay no heed to Quin's incessent rambling. Though, I do find it pretty funny. What will be even funnier will be when he gets some interaction with other players. :D)

Mark let off a sigh and got up from the bench. "Well Brogan, I should probobly head back to my Dorm. I'm pretty darn tired right now. See ya tommorow!" Mark said happily. Snype waved as well. Mark, Snype, and Len walked toward their respective dorm. Mark needed sleep.

As Mark walked into his dorm he let out a loud yawn. After changing into some sweatpants and a spare white T shirt, He fell flat onto his bed and let off a sigh. Another long day... this was becoming a tradition in the school or something. Snype sat by a window and stared outside rather then sleep on Mark's lap. "Hey Snype you alright over there?" Mark asked. Snype nodded, not even looking at mark. He was giving a blank look as he gazed out the window. Mark shrugged and fell asleep.

Snype was worried about the happenings in the school. It certainly wasn't a safe environment that was for sure. The wild Pokemon were attacking trainers without warning, even ones that are usually more peaceful then usual... He hoped that both he and Mark could shed some light on the situation in the future.

Valorie's Post

Luckily, Valorie had her eyes averted and had no idea of any amusement Selene took. Meanwhile, a particular Tauros munched on Valorie's hat somewhere, which was apparently tasty. Valorie looked up at Selene when she started to ask if she was alright. Valorie proceeded to lift a finger to tenderly brush against her cut. She was sore, that was for sure, she was embarassed, that was for sure, and she had cuts. Yet, she was okay, relatively speaking. Had a horn caught her, it would probably have been an entirely different story. She pushed the thought out of her mind, as it was a terrible thought indeed. People dying was horrible. Yet, some people just didn't take the proper precaution around pokemon. Irony being that someone was her in this case. Pokemon were dangerous! As she herself had once said, they were not given pokemon because they wouldn't need to use them. They /needed/ pokemon, because pokemon were the only thing dangerous enough to protect them from other pokemon. She made a point to glance over at Selene's pokemon fighting. She stared for a brief moment until she decided that Selene was probably already aware, and didn't mind.

"I'm fine... Kind of sore, got a few scrapes and cuts, but I'll live."

Of course, then the spar battle ended with one pokemon receiving a burn. Selene asked Valorie for a burn heal.

"Yeah! Sure..."

She took out a full heal and handed it over to Selene. She seemed pretty eager to help. Then again, why wouldn't she be? It wasn't like Selene was asking for much. After having handed it over she reached in and pulled out a rather large blanket.

"I brought a blanket. I figured we might need it."

She glanced at Selene for a moment. She kind of questioned if she had managed to sneak a blanket along with her, especially since she had left all impromptu-like.

"It's big enough for both of us, if you want."

She proceeded to smile, trying to break any ice that might come of offering to share a blanket before it had a chance to settle over the conversation. No pun intended.

Skye

Skye never thought this would ever happen to him. Seriously, How could he of all people get bored? Granted, he was in a hospital, and he hated these places with every fiber of his being, mostly because he had been visiting them way too many times in his twelve years of life than was probably ordinary. Whatever. It was his fault he was more curious than a newborn Cyndaquil. But it wasn't his that the Pokemon decided he was a good target. The humans however... okay he did enjoy riling up his fellow man. Making them think a certain way was just so entertaining, especially when he had to think on the fly. They broke their hands on the cement; it was their fault. People just needed to learn to chill out.

Not that he could talk right now. Skye was bored, which meant he was agitated. That was not a good combo. Sleeping wasn't that interesting. So that meant only one thing: he was escaping this hospital.

He could tell his Pokemon were waking up. As far as he knew, Volca only slept in his Pokeball. Weirdo. He returned him, letting the larvae rest after his long day. Ellie pawed sleepily at her ball. She didn't know what Skye was doing, but for once she was too sleepy to care. Pala was of course, still asleep, and Rama woke up quickly. The Zorua yawned and grinned. Good thinking Skye. The boy changed into his actual clothing, having kept a spare outfit in his bag. Except for his red jacket but oh well. He barely wore that anyhow. He'd sew it when he got back to the dorm. Stuffing it with the rest of his clothes, Skye couldn't help his smile. It was time to go. He put his bag over his shoulders and his arm spasmed briefly. Oh yeah, he was still hurt. Oh like he actually cared. It wasn't like he felt it anyway.

Trudging on, he opened the window. He was happy he was on the first floor. Much easier. Gently placing Pala in his bag, he climbed out, Rama leaping after him. He closed it behind him and walked off, headed toward the beach. At least there it was quieter. He wanted to go swimming, even if that meant in his shorts. Rama trotted after him, glad he got to leave the stifling hospital early. Spent way too much time there.

Skye hurried down the pathway, enjoying the  fresh night air. The sound of the waves was instantly relaxing. "Beh-hetter out here," he mumbled, going to place his things a few feet away from the water. Rama curled up by them, watching the human change to his shorts. Skye shook himself a little before waving at Rama. "Wuh-hatch my Buh-bag." Rama nodded. He didn't like water anyway.

Skye nodded and ran into the water, splashing everywhere. He laughed before settling into a routine, his bandages coming off. He swam out farther, quickly leaving shallow water. The farther he went out, the more energy he lost. Skye suddenly had trouble even moving. He looked at his twitching leg and saw it was bleeding. Skye winced, suddenly in pain. Hindsight is 20/20... He tried to tread but something slammed into him. He fell underwater, struggling to stay afloat.

Ciel

Insomnia had struck him again.  Normally the young man was early to bed, early to rise. However, he was also known to have insomnia. It was troubling, but it had been accepted as a part of life. So he was wandering the academy, walking past the beach shoreline. At his side was his Togetic, Chika. She floated sleepily at his side, following as he walked along.

His grey eyes traveled over the area as Chika let out an alarmed cry, looking toward the place where a grey fox was barking, looking worried. A small polar bear cub was squirming from a bag. Ciel looked to see what was wrong, and saw someone far out in the sea. How had he even gotten that far? He must have been healthy, but...

"Chika, go help." His Togetic obeyed, soaring over. Ciel walked over to the fox and stood to wait. "It'll be okay," he stated softly. "That boy will get saved." the fox stared at him but said nothing.

Skye

Skye opened his eyes underwater, seeing golden dust above his eyes. He couldn't hear much but could kind of feel the water moving rapidly around him. There was something swimming near him. He reached out and found himself floating back up to the surface.. He coughed up water and breathed quick gasps. A pair of blue eyes peered out of a Lapras face. It made a soft voice of concern.

"Ah-I'm nuh-not huh-hurt," he mumbled. "Thuh-hanks. Cuh-could you tuh-take muh-muh-me bah-hack to shuh-shore?" the Lapras let out a cry of agreement. She began to swim back and Skye heard a soft chirp above his head. A Togetic chirped as she floated over to him. He patted her head and saw a boy next to Rama. He was looking away as Skye reached shore, seeming uncomfortable. The fox instantly ran over with Pala, both upset. Skye smiled quietly and pet them before going to pet the Lapras he had been saved by. It made a crooning noise as his hand stroked the rubbery skin. He glanced over to thank the other boy but the boy was running away, the Togetic following. Skye tilted his head. Kid must have been shy. He saw the blue jacket and blinked. He, whoever he was, didn't act like most Suicune people he had seen over the past few days. He seemed too meek. Maybe he could thank him tomorrow. The Lapras nuzzled his face and Skye went back to petting him, looking pleased. He was glad to be safe and his friends were okay.

Vincent:

Vince couldn't sleep no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't get to sleep. He knew it was probably late but he had to get to the icy plains. He got up and changed into appropriate clothes for the conditions of the icy plains. Vince didn't take all his pokemon however he only took Blitz and Terra he figured those two would do best against ice type pokemon. As he stepped out of his room he made sure that no teacher was around to spot him.

"Alright we're in the clear," Luna said as he reached outside of the school and let out his two pokemon. He then walked with Terra on his shoulders and Blitz right beside him to the icy plains. It was a nice night the stars were all out and the wind was blowing nicely. Vince then wondered what Selene was up to, he didn't see her in the school or Valorie for that matter the must be together.

Once he reached the icy plains he quickly zipped up his jacket it was colder that before and he had a really weird feeling that something bad was going to happen. The out of the blue he was attacked by a Snorunt that seemed frightened and angry. Blitz quickly jumped in the way and sent the ice pokemon flying in the air with a Dragon Claw attack, he then as the Snorunt flew in the air blasted it with a Flamethrower.

"Wow weird what was that all about?" Vince said as he watched the Snorunt fly off and hit the ground somewhere else. He then heard a roar and the sound of a hyper beam. Xack then ran over a few hills and found a man in a black outfit with a red R on his jacket he was wearing. Team Rocket?! What were they doing here?! Xack didn't see it but the Team Rocket must have just returned whatever let out that huge roar. But the Team Rocket member was talking to someone but Vince couldn't really make out who it was.

"Taylor.....I already told you I don't know nothing about that school I just live here on the island I left Team Rocket," A voice said. The voice sounded nervous and worried as if he was about to die or something.

"Calm down Jay I'm not hear to cut a lose end I'm here to speak to a new young recruit, Calnith NeverWind," Taylor responded laughingly. He then noticed Vince and smirked.

"Hey little kid come down here!" Taylor shouted as he started walking up the hill Xack was standing on. "Oh what do we have here a academy student no doubt right?" He asked glaring at Vince. Vincent stood quiet he didn't want to say anything. The man then tossed a pokeball in the air releasing a Dragonite. Terra then jumped off Vince's shoulder and growled at the Dragonite. Terra, without following any orders jumped at the Dragonite using a Metal Claw attack.

"Psh what is this?!" Taylor laughed as his Dragonite grabbed hold of Terra. "Did you really thing your little mole could do anything to might Dragonite?!" The Rocket member laughed as the Dragonite tossed Terra into the air. It then flew high in the air above the little Drilbur and set it flying down using a Dragon Tail attack.

"Terra!" Vince shouted as he ran down the hill as his Drilbur crashed into the ground. Xack quickly picked up his Drilbur from the ground. Terra then tried to lunge at the Dragonite again put quickly past out.

"You....you! You'll pay for this!" Xack roared as he saw that his Drilbur was in real bad shape. Blitz then let out a growl and let out a stream of flames.

"Blitz use Dragon Pulse!" The Charmeleon's trainer roared his face looking fierce and enraged. Vincent then returned Terra as he watched the Dragon Pulse flew at the Dragonite. The Dragonite was caught off guard it didn't see the attack coming at it so fast it was still fixed on Terra.

"Drago!" Taylor shouted as the Dragonite skidded across the ground from the Dragon Pulse. "Hhhhyper beam!" The man stuttered. The Dragonite then let out a huge beam of energy towards Blitz.

"Blitz dodge while running straight for it using Dragon Claw!" Vince ordered. Blitz the charged at Drago moving out of the way of the hyper beam and the slashed the Dragonite in the chest.

"Now Blitz he has to recharge keep at it!" Vince added. Blitz then contiued to claw at the Dragonite.

"I've had enough of this again Hyper Beam full power!" Taylor shouted. Drago then took a deep breath and the let out a powerful Hyper Beam blasting Blitz and Vince into the side of a mountain. "Let's go," The Team Rocket member said as he started walking away smirking. He waved to Jay and then started walking away from the icy plains.

When Xack opened his eyes he was surrounded by two walls of rocks that seemed to collapsed next to him. When he tried to move he felt intense unbareable pain in his arm and left leg. He looked over to his limbs that hurt and saw how he had rocks on top of them. Xack let out a painful howl and then looked around for Blitz.

"Blitz!" Vince moaned looking around for his Charmeleon. He then heard his Charmeleon let out a small groan. Blitz was on the other side of one of the rock walls. The Hyper Beam attack must have caused all of this, what a powerful attack. One day Vince would face that man again and win matter of fact he'd destroy off of Team Rocket and give this Calnith a stern talking to if this kid hadn't done anything else besides what he already did. What kind of kid grows up wanting to become a Team Rocket recruit? Vince then heard a tired Blitz trying to destroy rocks with all of his attacks mainly Flamethrower.

"Blitz it's no use there are to many rocks go and get help go!" Vince shouted. Blitz then stopped for a moment and then started slamming the ground. The Charmeleon felt weak again he was tired of this, despite being well aware of being a larger side the most Charmeleons it didn't matter he was still weak. He couldn't stand he couldn't bare it anymore! Blitz wasn't going to desert his trainer and his fellow partner.

"B...Blitz?!" Vince asked loudly as it got quiet. He then heard a loud noise followed by complete silence. Vincent was shocked as he saw a Charizard bust through the rocks with his shoulder. Man talk about big this Charizard was huge! This Charizard was probably a foot taller than that Dragonite! Wait that Charizard was Blitz! Vince's Charmeleon had evolved to save him. Blitz then picked up his trainer, spread his wings and then began flying through the mountain they were in.

As the were coming to a dead end Blitz let out a flamethrower that blew a hole right in the rock wall. The calm cool air was welcoming to Vince as they flew. Feeling great Blitz let out a Flamethrower in the sky for all to see. The Charizard then took in the fact that he had received some major damage and began to flail about in the air.

"Blitz?" Vince inquired worried. Blitz let out a small groan and then started crashing toward the ground near the school. Blitz quickly regained his control right before they hit the ground. They landed with Blitz on his side holding Vince in his arms making sure he was close to his chest, the Charizard also kept his wings wrapped around his arms to make sure Xack was extra safe.

As Blitz and Vincent both started to black out Vincent noticed that they landed in front of the school and saw teachers come running out of the school. He could hear them talking about how everyone on the island could see that Flamethrower in the sky and something about Team Rocket. The last thing he could recall was being picked up by Lt. Surge out of Blitz's arms.

"Thanks," smiled Selene as she took the Full Heal from Valorie and sprayed it over Ryan's tail slowly, all the time fixing the sheepish-looking Pikachu with a stern look. "I understand that you two are training, but you really need to be careful with each other. What if Valorie hadn't been here to help us? You'd have been stuck with that burn all night wouldn't you?" she sighed and patted his ears before gesturing away with her head, basically giving him permission to run off and join the others as they sat around the Icy Plains.

"You're lucky," said Selene as she moved back over to Valorie, sitting cross-legged as Valorie pulled out a large blanket. "Not many people would have survived a Tauros attack with just a cut and a stolen hat...must be your intimidating physical strength Val," she joked with a smile before hugging her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on them. She nodded her head slowly, inwardly kicking herself for not thining of that...no blanket or sleeping bag?! Great idea Selene..."I must say, I failed in that department," grinned Selene sheepishly, "totally forgot in my haste to get here. But thanks, sharing would be great..." she trailed off and looked towards her Pokemon, "but I'm going to go and train a bit more first...I'll be back shortly, but you feel free to go to sleep now. I won't wake you, promise." she smiled before pushing herself to her feet and waving to Valorie, walking over to her Pokemon.

"Guys! We're going to do some more training before we get some rest. So, Sharpay and Ri, Ryan and Cat, Gordon and Blu pair up," she instructed, watching as her Pokemon faced each other. "Now, I want to see you battle just like you did before, but I want the moves faster, sharper, and just generally with more energy. Okay, go!"

Without further warning, Ri flew at Sharpay with his palm outstretched, in what Selene instantly recognised as a Force Palm. Just before impact, Sharpay hit Ri dead in the face with her Octazooka but the inky black facemask didn't stop Ri, as he continued to run at Sharpay. However, the visual impairment proved too difficult to overcome as he missed her completely, crashing to the floor as his momentum carried him too far. Capitalising on the moment, Sharpay whirled around with her Aurora Beam, the icy beam hitting Ri's legs, Ri having to act fast and scramble away before it froze his legs solid. He wiped the ink from his face and ran at Sharpay once more, leaping into the air and evading the second Octazooka before flying down into a Low Kick, sending Sharpay flying into the air. As she span, however, she steadied herself with her wings and shot a Bubblebeam at Ri, who was knocked off his feet by the attack. With one final Aurora Beam, Ri fainted and Sharpay chirped happily, pumped about beating one of Selene's oldest Pokemon.

Cat and Ryan were having an equally impressive sparring match - Cat's agility rivalled Ryan's and had so far surpassed him. Her Teleport was a handy attack, and by using it she had so far evaded 3 Thunder Waves and a Thunderbolt whilst managing to hit Ryan with a Psybeam attack. But Ryan was not to be outdone, and by using his Quick Attack he made Cat Teleport away once more before whirling round with a Thunder Wave as she materialised again behind him. Paralysed, it took tremendous mental power for Cat to remain levitated, and she threw up a Barrier move just as Ryan's Thunderbolt was about to hit her. As Ryan launched into another Quick Attack, aiming to bust straight through the Barrier, Cat waited until he was mere inches from her and threw everything she had into a huge Confusion attack, watching as Ryan fell to the floor with his ears pressed flat against his head, holding them down with his hands. Removing the attack, Cat smirked as Ryan looked around dazedly in his confusion before glaring at his own tail out of the corner of his eye, chasing it in circles. Cat one, Ryan nil.

Meanwhile, Gordon was determined to avenge his loss to Ryan and was keeping Blu on the back foot, throwing offensive move after offensive move at the cotton-winged Pokemon, who was forced to use every last bit of prowess of flight to dodge the various Incinerates and Fury Swipes that were coming his way when he got close enough to Gordon. Eventually, Blu decided that long-range attacks would work the best and fired an Ice Beam at Gordon, who instantly countered with his Incinerate, basically melting the entire Ice Beam and catching Blu unawares, Blu becoming engulfed in the Incinerate with a loud cry. Soaring upwards, Blu launched into a furious Fly, swerving and dodging Gordon's Incinerate before slamming into him and knocking Gordon onto the floor. However, Gordon grabbed a hold of Blu and finished him off with Fury Swipes, slashing at Blu's wings with his claws until Blu flew up and cried out loudly in surrender before falling in height.

"Well done guys! That wa-" Selene stopped abruptly as Sharpay was engulfed in a bright white light, so bright that she had to shield her eyes from it, along with her other Pokemon. After the light had subsided, Selene lowered her arm tentatively and gasped abruptly...Sharpay had evolved into Seadra! She looked so much more powerful now, her body more dragon-like...it was easy to see how this was the preliminary stage for Kingdra...her sharp eyes glanced at the group and Selene's breath hitched...what if Sharpay had turned nasty in her evolution?? But she chirped brightly after a moment and Selene laughed loudly, scooping her up and hugging her.

"Amazing! Well done Sharpay! And all of you - that was fantastic! Just what I was looking for! Now come on, let's get some rest," she smiled and together they all wandered back to where Valorie was sleeping tucked up in the huge blanket. Selene was happy to see there was still room for her and, after returning her Pokemon and tucking them under the blanket with her, she laid her head on her bag and stared at the starry sky until she fell asleep.

Morning... normally Mark would have hoped for a peaceful one but at this rate, he was expecting something bad to be happening. Snype was laying down on his back, snoozing peacefully. Mark could tell he was still extremely worried... Len had been sleeping as well. Mark got out of bed making sure not to wake up his Pokemon. After his daily morning routine, he got dressed up and ready to go. Only to realize that he had woken up way too early. Classes weren't starting for another two hours... Snype and Len eventually woke up. Just on time too.

"Well guys, since we got alot of free time on our hands, how about we do some training? Ya know, a bit of excercise?" Mark said as he called out the rest of his Pokemon. "So guys, how about a walk around the plains? That oughta get you all in good shape."

Mark pulled his bag over his shoulder and headed out. His Pokemon were following him however Able was a tad slow... but desperately wanted to move faster. If anything, Able was really overworking herself.

Once they were outside, Mark continued walking around the area. Snype was actually doing a bit of Jogging. Len was waddling about, Commodore was floating but still enjoying the outdoors and Able continued to overwork herself. Mark looked back and noticed this behavior himself. Able was moving quicker then usual. Oddly, she was about to catch up to Snype!

Snype looked at Able and gave off a chuckle. "Ah! Is this a challenge or something? Well I accept it. You and me will race over to that tree over there." Snype said as he pointed to a lone tree around the courtyard." Ready? Set...Go!" Snype said as he dashed on off to the tree. Able was keeping up a good steady pace. determined to defeat Snype. Able was still as quiet as usual though...

The race went on and each of the Pokemon were almost there. Snype looked back at able with a large smile. "Kehehe! Ya better step your game up! I'm almost there!" Snype taunted. Able was burning up. She was putting all of her might into her speed... All of a sudden, she began glowing as well as shedding her skin. Snype looked back and knew what was going to happen from there... "Crap." Snype said.

Able had evolved into a Ninjask, and left behind a Shedinja. Mark had a spare pokeball luckily so he pretty much earned another pokemon out of this. Able however...

Able became faster then the speed of light! In an instant, she flew past Snype and beat him. That wasn't the only thing that changed about here though... "Haha! Hey Snype hey Snype I win I win I win!!! Hey wanna do it again? I wanna do it again! Comon! Let's go lets go I'll go easy on ya! Maybe not I might still win no matter! Hehehe!" Able said quickly... Snype was already getting a headache.

(I'll have to continue on with Mark's adventures later. Gotta go out to eat :3)

Brian

Bri woke up to someone pushing on his head. He opened his eye and jumped at Duster's face being so close to his.
"Gah! Duster, don't scare me like that!" Bri said. He jerked his head back. That's when Leena decided to come floating through his chest.

"Boo!" she said happily. Bri nearly had a heart attack. Bouncy woke up and began crying. Oh god, his morning was terrible! He quickly realised it was a hungry cry and not a scared cry. He shushed her a little bit and looked around for her bottle. Someone had taken it in the middle of the night.

"Well, that's no good. Nova, would you go get the nurse?" Bri said. Nova looked up at him from where he was laying and growled a little.
"Not a chance in h***," he muttered. Bri shrugged and looked around at his other pokemon. Surprisingly, Thyme was still asleep in his arms. Duster was now pushing on Drizzle to wake him up, and Frost... Frost flipped down off the top of the cabnet where he had been sleeping all night long. The nurse walked in the room as Bri was changing the bandages on his leg.

"I was going to get that for you!" she said giving him a stern look. Bri shrugged at her. He was perfectly capable of taking care of his own wounds. But he was concerned about a few things.

"You said I could leave today! And, Bouncy's hungry! Could I get another bottle for her?" Bri said nicely. He made those big puppy dog eyes at the nurse that most kids can do so well. He wasn't doing it to try and trick her. He was genuinely hopeful he could leave.

"Yes, I'll be back in a moment," the nurse said with a smile. She came back and handed Bri a bottle, and he began feeding Bouncy as the nurse performed a variety of tests on him to be sure he was well enough to leave. Then she strapped a brace on his leg and handed him a set of crutches. Hee nodded thankfully and stood up, putting his weight on the crutches and his good leg.

"Thanks. Hey, Thyme! Wake up!" Bri said. Thyme opened her eyes and glared at him. She had been having a really nice dream!

"What is it Brian?" she asked with a yawn. Bri smiled at her.
"I'm leaving now. I'll come and visit you after class, ok?" Bri said. That's when he realised he had no idea what class he had. He usually relied on her to tell him where to go! Well, he'd have to get used to it. She'd be in the hospital healing for several more days. She waved at him and leaned back.

"Well, I'm going to get some more sleep!" she said. She turned her head to the side and shut her eyes. Bri returned his pokemon, except for Duster and Bouncy.
"I'll send Snype in here later!" Duster laughed and Thyme glared at her.

"Shut up!" she snapped. Duster cackled happily and climbed up on Bri's shoulder. Bri then realised he had no way to carry Bouncy while he was walking and called her back. Thyme waved at him and he turned around and headed out the door.

"Duster, stop teasing Thyme. Would you like it if she teased you?" Bri said. Duster grinned at him. She shook her head and promised to leave her alone. Bri walked out into the lobby and gasped in shock at the large hole in the roof. Of course, he had known it had been there, but still, seeing it like that shocked him. He quickly recovered and walked outside. He was going to head to his room and grab his schedule. Then he would head to class. It would probably take him that long to get there on these crutches. He began walking across the field.

Vincent:

"Oh finally you're awake geez kid you gave us a scare," A voice said as Vince slowly woke up. The only thing he remebered from last night after he had gotten picked up by Lt.Surge was some Audino's using some kind of healing move on him. It was somewhat strange seeing the Audinos there mainly because this island was near Kanto but hey Xack wasn't going to complain.

"Where...where am I?" Vincent asked as his vision came to and he could see Lt.Surge standing at the end of the bed he was lying on. He was in the hospital lying on a bed in a large room. Blitz was resting next to Vince's bed but looked a little cramped up against the wall.

"You're in a pokemon center, well to be exact your in the ICU kid," Lt.Surge began as he then pointed to Vince's forehead. "It seems that something hit your head and you were bleeding a lot," The teacher said sitting down in a chair. Vince then put his had on his forehead and felt a bandage on it. Xack never even noticed all the blood last night or feel the pain coming from his head.

"Lt.Surge there's a Team Rocket member here looking for a kid named Calnith NeverWind," Xack said as Blitz perked his head up. Lt.Surge rubbed his fingers across his head and let out a long sigh.

"Oh man I knew something like this was going to happen. Calnith is already in trouble for what he did here but now the whole Team Rocket thing what is this kid getting himself into," Lt. Surge responded as a nurse came in.

"How are you feeling?" She asked Vincent as she inspected him. Vince surprisingly didn't feel all that bad besides the extreme pain in his head and leg that got crushed. His arm felt fine though but wasn't going to be able to walk on both legs.

"Feeling alright for a guy who got blasted the other night," Vince said smirking as he sat up right. The nurse handed him a crutch as he tried to get out of bed. He had been in cruthes before but wasn't in them for very long. He was dressed in black shorts and a red T-shirt with black sneakers on the ground next to his bed. Vincent put the shoes on and started walkng out the door with Blitz and Lt. Surge following behind. Blitz had to squeeze through the door he got so big.

"Hey Lt.Surge could you do me a favor and call all my friends in front of the pokemon center?" Vincent asked as they reached outside of the pokemon center with Blitz next to him.

"Yeah sure I'll get right on that send some students to go find your friends," Lt.Surge said scratching the back of his head as he walked away.

"Cool," Vince muttered as he stood waiting outside next to his Charizard in the sun. He was still in pain but was ignoring it if he showed it the nurses would hall him back in.

Mark ran over to Able, happy that she evolved. As soon as Mark got close though, able let off an extremely loud and annoying Screeching sound. "Ah! What? What's wrong Able?" Mark said, covering his ears. Able flew around Mark, ignoring his presence. What had gotten into her? She seemed find with Mark before... "H...how about another race eh Able?" Mark suggested. Able made a loud screeching sound once more. Mark couldn't take it anymore. He quickly returned able to her ball. "Geez... what was that about?" Mark wondered. He would hopefully learn something about it in his next class... The other pokemon that appeared when Able evolved was peculiar as well... Mark put her in a pokeball as well. But he still had time at least. May as well walk around the plains.

Still walking with his other three pokemon, and letting Able rest inside her ball to hopefully calm down a bit, Mark jogged along the plains. The morning seemed peaceful enough, although he did see a bit of clouds forming in the distance. Mark was predicting rain... Around the plains, there were a few wild pokemon happily relaxing in their habitats without a care in the world. Mark didn't feel the need to capture any of them. He was satisfied with his current team already. Though one Pokemon did catch his eye though...

There was a Tauros. Mark knew they tended to be dangerous Pokemon if they were messed with but what really caught his eye was what was in its mouth. It was... a hat. A familiar looking beanie. Was that Val's? She must have been around here... It got Mark a bit worried wondering what that Tauros might have done to Valorie. He would have to message her later. Still though... may as well do her the favor and get her hat back.

"Hey Commodore, up for a little action?" Mark whispered. It nodded happily. Mark was aiming to get the jump on Tauros. Hopefully he wouldn't have to fight it. That plan was quickly put to a stop as the Tauros began to run off and ram straight into a tree. "Sheesh, he's really desperate to hit something. Comon Commodore we can't let him get away! Use Agility!" Mark said. Commodore quickly moved went after the Tauros so that he could get in range. However Tauros quickly noticed the Pokemon that was challenging him. Tauros quicly charged after Commodore.

"Ah! Commodore! Dodge it!" Mark said. Commodore dodged succesfully but Tauros didn't stop. He kept on running and running, straight after Mark. Mark barely got out of the way. His arm got in contact with the horns and he got himself a large cut. "Gah.... yeowch!" Mark yelled out. Tauros turned around and glared over to Commodore.

"Alright Commodore... we're gonna have to plan this one out better... ah! Move next to one of those trees! Time we did some bull fighting." Mark said. Tauros ran straight for Commodore once more. "Dodge!" Mark said. Commodore did as Mark said and Tauros ended up ramming straight into the tree. "Perfect! Use Charge Beam!"

Commodore's nose began to give off electricity, leading into a small beam aimed straight for Tauros. The strategy had been working, but Tauros was pissed now. He was faster then ever. When he ran for Commodore a second time, It was hit. "Ah! Hang in the Commodore! We aren't letting this thing get away from us!" Mark called out. Commodore Struggled to get up but thankfully had enough strength to continue battling. Tauros began to charge again. With it's speed, he wasn't going to be easy to dodge.

"Guess we'll have to go head on!" Mark said. Commodore then remembered something... his ability! Trace! He could copy the opponents special ability and use it for his own. When he did so, he gave off an intimidating glare toward Tauros which caused it to back off a bit. That would sure demoralize it as well as weaken him. "Commodore! Charge Beam once more!" Mark said. Commodore fired an electric beam toward Tauros one more time. This time it was really weak... perfect!

"Alright... he's mine!" Mark said as he threw a pokeball out to the Tauros. He was engulfed in the ball, dropping Valorie's hat as well. Snype used this opportunity to snatch the hat. Mark prayed that he would be able to capture the Pokemon...

Unfortunately, Tauros broke out and without a second thought, ran away with its remaining strength. "Daw darn it all!" Mark yelled out with the snap of his fingers.

"Ah... well you did a good job at least Commodore. We got Val's hat back at least. Snype could you.... uh..." Mark turned to Snype only to notice that he was wearing her hat! Mark knew that Snype was oddly curious about it before... but now Snype had an opportunity to try it on. He looked ridiculously silly in it.

"Comon Snype, That thing has been in that Tauros' mouth for awhile. At least let me clean it before you go off wearing it." Mark said. Snype shrugged and gave the hat to Mark. It had a couple tears but Mark could improvise somehow... Mark checked his PokeGear and noticed he still had some spare time... he may as well give Bri a visit like he promised.

Along the way, Mark was typing up a message to send to Valorie's phone.

"Hey Val, You alright over there? Just got into a fight with a Tauros and it had your hat. You didn't get hurt out there did you? O.o"

Mark finished texting and sent the message to Valorie. Hopefully she would respond soon.

On the way to the Pokemon Center, Mark found Bri walking outside. Seemed he was in top shape. Thyme must have still been in the Pokemon Center because she was nowhere to be seen. "Hey Bri!" Mark called out he held onto his arm a since the cut was still hurting... "I see your up and kicking already eh? What class do you got? For me I have Type specialization... I think I'll go for the Bug Type elective... I've been having issues with a certain noisy pokemon..."

Brian

Brian looked around and shifted uneasily in the crutches. Mark had come over to say hello.
"I don't know about all that, but yeah, I'm up. I was getting sick of that hospital bed. As for my class, I was going to head back to my room and look at my schedule. But, Type Specialization sounds about right. I was thinking of going to Normal specialization if I'm right. I have Bouncy and Duster after all. Anyway, what's with the hat? It looks like someone was trying to eat it. Is it yours?" Bri said as he noticed the hat. He looked around and spotted Vince standing next to a rather large Charizard. He opened his mouth to say hello when he noticed something was wrong. Vince was in crutches too, and had a large bandage around his head! Bri frowned. Man, what was it about people getting hurt here?

"I'll be right back Mark," Bri said. He began walking over to Vince.

"My goodness, that Charizard is big!" Bri said as he approached. As he got closer, it looked like Vince was in pain. Bri said nothing as he came to a stop near him.

"Vince! What happened? You alright?" Bri asked his friend. He was very concerned. What had happened? Why were all of his friends always getting hurt?

Quincy

Quin rode Zemda to shore. He hopped off her back and onto the beach. Then he returned his beautiful Lapras, who was crooning happily.

"So, what are you going to do first? I need to get stronger, or we'll never stop Team Rocket, or the Zatans!" Zara said. Quin let that jibe slip. He knew Zara was the better fighter. That didn't bother him. Instead, at the mention of the Zatans, he looked around nervously while Zara laughed.

"Damn it! I should have remembered! Zatans don't come out during the day! Zara, that wasn't funny! Come on, we have to do something!" Quin said irritatedly. Zara ignored him. He walked toward the school and looked around. There were people everywhere. Instinctively, he pulled back. He was not used to dealing with so many people, but he had a job to do.

"People! The end is near! Team Rocket wants to take over the world! And this time they're strong enough to do just that! Who will protect us!? We must get stronger to fight the growing menace!" Quin yelled. Many students simply gave him odd looks, but he continued on.

"But that isn't the end! They've already worked their way into the faculty! We can't trust anyone but ourselves! Team Rocket is here! And they are not amused!" Quin yelled.

"Cool story bro!" some kid shouted back and everyone else started laughing, including Zara. Quin's heart fell. Well, if they weren't going to listen, then they would see. They'd all see! They would learn that he was right. Unfortunately, Team Rocket was simply the beginning. There was so much going on, be it aliens trying to enslave the earth, or the legendary Arceus establishing a new world order, or secret government spies stealing their lives and identities, or even a secret society or two bent on cleansing the world of pokemon. And the only one that knew everything about all of it was Quin. Well, if they didn't want to listen he couldn't make them, but he would keep saying it. He continued ranting about Team Rocket. He would move on to different things soon enough.

(OOC: Quin is so delightfully mad! ;) Just wait until someone does something other than outright reject his theories. :D)

Skye

Skye awoke casually, his head resting next to Rama's tail, which was twitching in the fox's sleep. The Zorua remained asleep while his human rolled out of bed. The twelve year old untied his bandages and stretched his arm. He went to get in the shower and came out moments later to a crying Pala. Skye chuckled to himself and went to his small refrigerator, pulling out and apple and quickly chopping it up into small pieces. She could eat solid food but she wasn't that developed yet. He placed the plate on the floor and got dressed, reluctantly putting his jacket on.

Rama was groaning, rubbing his eyes with a paw. "Seriously, babies are some loud buggers. I don't remember Volca being that obnoxious as a baby." Skye merely laughed and pulled up his schedule on the computer. Odd, it wouldn't load. Ah well, they were probably updating. While he put his computer away, a Pokeball rolled to the floor. Skye picked it up and smiled. Inside, the Lapras from last night was snoozing away contendedly, obviously hearing none of Pala's cries.

Skye really couldn't explain this catch. It had accidently pulled itself into a Pokeball and then refused to be released. Skye had just figured it was best not to argue, especially due to how late it had been. Skye clipped the Pokeball next to Ellie and Volca. Pala had already taken her place inside Skye's bag, Head poking out and nose dripping on the outside of the bag. "Play!" she cried, the latest word in her vocabulary.

"Not now ya silly," Rama informed her. "Later." Pala had no clue what that meant, except that she wouldn't be playing. Aw... Skye laughed and put his bag on and twirled his key around one finger. Rama padded in front of him, the Zorua yipping softly in amusement. Skye quickly locked his door and looked around. THe hallway was empty so SKye walked as quickly as he dared, the bandages limiting his movements a little. He left the area to see Bri on crutches and Mark nearby talking to him. Skye wanted to say hi but he was worried about Pala running away while he did. Rama would probably keep an eye on her but still... Oh well, they'd either notice or wouldn't. Was something up with Vince? He followed Bri silently and listened, staying a few feet away.

Ciel

The Suicune dorm was incredibly fancy. It made Ciel ill. He lived in modest places all of his life, from Viridian to Lavendar. Was this supposed to make him feel privileged? How demeaning. Regardless, he was stuck in this blue place meant for the powerful. He was already up and dressed, having not slept again. Kinko was thankfully in her Pokeball as was Teric, so he had no worries about them. Chika was picking up a few fallen things from his desk.

While he waited for her, he thought about that boy Skye The kid was strange, especially according to Chika. Weren't humans supposed to be scared during life-or-death situations? He himself would have been but the boy had just smiled and shrugged it off. He could have been killed! Before Ciel had run off, he had seen bleeding wounds. That would have attracted Carvanha for sure. Regardless, he had watched as the boy had captured it. He had been so quiet and calm. He was like a human Styler! Odd. Oh well, Chika was done. It was time for class.

Ciel left the Suicune dorm, wondering what classes he had today. Something about specialization of types? If he had to work with anyone, it was probably Kinko or Teric. Teric was an Electric type and he was very limited in what he could do. And Kinko... well was Kinko. Enough said as far as he was concerned. Yep, he would choose the Fire class. Anything to calm down his Vulpix.

Vincent:

Vincent smiled as Bri came up to him and stared at Blitz. He was proud of his Charizard's size. He wasn't sure how big Blitz was really, it didn't matter he had a Charizard, a Charizard! This was a dream come true Vincent always wanted a Charizard like Lance. Xack always admired Lance and really wanted to fight him. Blitz let out a stream of flames from his to the ground as Bri commented on how big he was.

"Yeah he's a big guy alright can't wait to fly with him," Vincent said as he looked to Bri. His friends still looked a bit banged up from what happened a while ago. Then Bri had asked him what had happened and a worried look grew across his face. Blitz noticed this and took action to avoid the conversation.

"Woah what are you doing Blitz?!" Vincent cired as his Charizard picked him up and started flying off. Blitz then tossed Vince up in the air and then flew up some more so his trainer landed on his back. Xack smiled the entire time Blitz was tossing him around. Blitz then landed back to where they were standing and smiled to Bri.

"Hey want to hop on?" Luna asked as he dropped his cruthes on the ground. Blitz then bent down a bit for Bri or anyone else to get on.

"Ah, the hat? I'm pretty sure it belongs to Val. She went off on an adventure with Sel and I'm going to assume she lost her hat. Still waiting for a message back from her." Mark replied. He turned to where Bri was looking to notice Vincent was in pretty bad shape as well, right next to a Charizard too! He quickly ran over to him.

"Wow... Blitz looks pretty darn strong now huh? Got room for one more? I'm up for a ride. Never rode a Charizard before." Mark said. Snype tugged on Mark's pants and pointed to the Pokemon Center. "Hmm? Ya want to go to the... ah. I see. Hey Bri, ya mind if Snype gives Thyme a visit?" Mark asked.
