Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Steel).

Done with Sapphire.

Meh, I'm too lazy to go into details. The screens should be good enough.

Here's a few notes:
Juggernaut evolved into Aggron while I was doing the whole Mt. Pyre/Hideout stuff.

Elite Four stuff:
I taught Juggernaut Blizzard before the battle with Drake, and then taught him Earthquake and Thunder before Steven.

And Rock Tomb saved me against Glacia (lowered Walrein's speed).

Raptor ended up being mostly a Spiker, lol, though he did contribute against a few of the Elite Four (Pheobe and Sidney mostly). However, the Spikes were invaluable as it allowed Juggernaut to OHKO several Pokemon (Sealeo especially).

For some reason I didn't have a Soft Sand, which would have been very useful against Steven. I guess I accidentally sold it, lol.

Haven't updated over the last week, but I've slowly been working my way through the final stretch. I just beat Giovanni, who was hell on earth for my team. Earthquake from anything bar Dugtrio OHKOed my whole team. Electrode gets mad props for this, he did what I planned from day one, Exploding on my team's biggest threats. Seriously, Explosion may get my PP ups. He beat down Nidoking/Queen and all the Marowaks in the gym. He is so getting MVP right now. All that's left now is Victory Road and the Elite 4...

My team (From LVP to MVP)

Jolteon Lv49 (Thunder, Double Kick, Thunder Wave, Dig) (LVP)

Deadly. If he manages to hit that is. I may have to play in the game corner to get him Thunderbolt.

Raichu Lv50 (Thunderbolt, Brick Break, Strength, Thunder Wave)

Good at what he does. Thunderbolting stuff till they die. Savior of the early game, managing to solo Brock at level 14. Helps against the team's major rock/ground weakness with Brick Break.

Magneton Lv50 (Spark, Tri Attack, Sonic Boom, Thunder Wave)

I have a lot of T-Wavers, don't I? This guy is beastly, his Steel typing is great for when my team is weakened, as I can use it to last a few hits while I heal up. Surprisingly bulky, and he'll definitely make a return for Platinum. Also Tri Attack hax is cool too.

Electrode Lv 50 (Spark, Toxic, Explosion, Selfdestruct) (MVP)

Electrode gets mad props , he did what I planned from day one, Exploding on my team's biggest threats. Seriously, Explosion may get my PP ups. He beat down Nidoking/Queen and all the Marowaks in the Viridian gym - alone. Even though he was lagging behind, now he's back up to speed and killing things left right and center.

EDIT: It's done.

Pokemon-FireRed_02.png

Pidgey/Goldeen were just HM slaves.

I'll take a week or two to start up Johto though, as I really wanna try out a some other runs.

Started Flying on Silver (my last one to do on the second gen)
Started with Totodile, caught Pidgey and Zubat, waited til Morning and backtracked for a Ledyba, and then beat Johto with Zubat and Ledyba. Pidgey helped them get off their feet, but after they got Bite and Headbutt respectively, Pidgey turned into a temporary Fly Slave.
Here's some of hte screenshots for Johto. I accidentally closed the emulator and reopened it, so the first few are gone...

Blissy's Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge! - Gold Version
Chapter 16 - MooMoo Super Star Ultra (will edit)

Man....after a hiatus, it's good to be back. I went ahead and beat the Rocket Hideout, and Mahogany Gym. When I left Mahogany Gym, I got a call from Elm. Team Rocket took over the Radio Tower in Goldenrod. Now...it's personal. But first...I'm heading to Olivine City so I can get other stuff done. Jasmine is at Glitter Lighthouse, so it's time to go up. Now it's time to go to Cianwood City to get medicene for the sick pokemon at the Lighthouse. Before I go to the Radio Tower, I train up my party in the Whirl Islands. First, Cianwood Gym wasn't hard. MooMoo easily beat all the trainers, and survived a Dynamicpunch from Chuck's Poliwrath with 16 HP, and managed to win, so I won the Storm Badge. Before battling Jasmine after getting Fly and healing the sick pokemon, I taught MooMoo Dynamicpunch. Now it can blow stuff up...with punches. That move worked wonders against Jasmine, making that battle easy, and winning the Mineral Badge.

This concludes this chapter of my Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge.

Well, I've done a lot since yesterday:

-Started and picked Charmander.
-Did all the Pokedex crap then went out to catch a Pidgey, named Skyler.
-Grinded Skyler to match Charmander's level, then boxed Charmander (HM Slave)
-Went through Viridian Forest, leveling up Skyler and only Skyler.
-Fought through the Jr. Trainer in the Pewter City Gym, and went on to lose, multiple times, to Brock, but losing on purpose so as to level up. Then, as a Pidgeotto, he beat their sorry little butts.
-Went through Route 3, catching and leveling up a Jigglypuff whom is named Melody.
-Then, through Mt. Moon, a Clefairy was caught, named Tinker. Leveled her up slightly. Then used a Moon Stone on her.
-Out to Route 4 after getting a useless swirly rock, teaching Tinker Mega Punch and Melody Mega Kick (which I accidentally replaced Pound with!)
-To Cerulean, beat Gary's butt, taught Melody Rollout during the battle.
-Nugget Bridge is now ruled by me, Hiro, and so is Route 24. Hah.
-Cerulean Gym is easy, Misty even easier. Got the Cascade Badge, and TM 3 Water Pulse, taught it to Tinker.
-Beat the Rocket Grunt out of Cerulean City, getting back and using on Tinker a TM 28 Dig.

And that's it. So, the team is Team Hiro. I'm SO creative.
