"Why do I have to do all the chores suddenly?" Logan asked. His mom rolled her eyes. "I thought they would be easier now that you have Rini with you." Rini was Logan's Riolu that he had just received from Cedric Juniper the day before. "Besides, didn't you want to go on an Pokémon journey?" Logan facepalmed himself. Collecting feathers from the drawbridge didn't really scream 'journey'. "Isn't there any other way to earn money?" he scowled.

Downstairs, Logan's older brother Max heard the whole argument. He was training his newly-caught Zoroark when Logan ended with "Isn't there any other way to earn money?" Well, yes there is. Max thought. "Be right back, Illusio." he called, already racing up the stairs.

"Well, actually, there is." a voice said. Logan turned around. It was Max. "The PWT. People set up shops there all the time." Logan was confused. "What could I sell? I'm broke!"
"Poffins. You have a Poffin-making talent."
"Nobody uses Poffins in Unova."
"Because nobody sells them."
"Because nobody uses them."
"Just try it, okay?" Max sighed. "You'll be fine. It's $2500 a day to have a place there, but I'll pay for Day 1 and the money we make should keep us able to pay."
"We?"
"Yeah. I'll work with you."
"Fine."
"Before we leave, how about a quick battle?"
"What? N-"
"Go, Shorika!" Logan was rudely interrupted as Max sent out his Huntail, Shorika. "One on one, okay?"
"But-"
"Shorika, Ice Fang!" Logan was interrupted once again as Max called out the first attack. Logan was doomed. Max had 7 years of experience, and Logan had just started out yesterday! Shorika hovered circles around Rini, then opened it's freezing cold mouth, and... stopped right in front of Rini? "Come back, Shorika. Bro, I was joking." Max called. Logan was infuriated at the joke. "Let's just go." Logan growled, opening the door.

Nearly 45 minutes had past since Inari was open for business. However not a single person stopped by, not many even paid anyattention what so ever. Inari sighed disappointed in herself. "I can't believe this Axie! Even the guy who makes Pokemon forget is getting more customers than us..." Axew sighed quickly at her Trainer then chirped happily grabbing the sign she had put up and putting it on herself before running out into the crowd of Trainer/Casual Shoppers, being as obnoxious as possible indicating to the services listed on the sheet of paper.

Inari's face glowed alittle as she ducked back, only slightly. "Not too straight forward." She thought outloud before sitting up. 'But maybe your right. We need a sales pitch.' Inari then stepped infront of her table. "Attention PWT shoppers, visitors, and Trainers alike. As an opening special included within the next ten perhases made, a free Protien PokeBlock will be thrown in free of charge!" Inari shouted to match her Pokemon. A few people paced behind Axew, but yet most stayed behind doing their own thing. The people that did show up however more so just had questions.

Blushing a little with nervousness, but still answering as each came calmly Inari was starting to spark intrest. "Each of my massage are corresponded to specific Pokemon to elevate their mood, enhance stamina, while inducing relaxation. My vitamin enriched Homemade PokeBlock are guaranteed to increase the performance, and happiness of any Pokemon of all varieties while being surprisingly delicious." Inari turned to another, "Massage fee's are generally $500 for an average session. I do however offer as low as $250 for a quick run down, or up to $1500 for a complete session. While the PokeBlock are $2000 each. But I do have non-enhanced bags of Pokefood for $50." Inari noticed the intrugue and decided to push it one step forward. "Can I get a volenteer for my PokeStyling, first to act will have they're Pokemon look amazing while feeling more confident! Don't worry I won't make it too sissy." She joked, which probably could've been left out.

Soon, Logan and Max arrived at the PWT. There were several people shopping. Aaron felt a lot of excitement. This will be so easy! he thought. Just then, he heard a voice. "Can I get a volunteer for my PokéStyling, first to act will have they're Pokémon look amazing while feeling more confident! Don't worry, I won't make it too sissy."

The fact that nobody cared made Logan realize her buisness wasn't doing very well. Wanting to help, he raised his hand, saying, "I'll volunteer."

"Thank you kind sir, step right this way." Inari reponded to the boy with rich chocolate hair over behind the table, as he raised his hand in volenteer. Axew chimmed in the background before scurring off once more. Inari didn't pay attention too her Pokemon, knowing that she couldn't get in too much trouble. "And what Pokemon of yours shall I be styling today?" Inari asked in a calm kind voice casting her eyes on the stranger's Riolu.

"Perhaps this brute little, guy?" She questioned, trying to ralate and appeal to the Riolu's Fighting type. She didn't pester any more than that, as her suggestion may not really mean much to this boy.

"Thank you kind sir, step this way." the girl said. Logan steppped up to the counter as the girl called him over. "And what Pokémon shall I be styling today?" she asked, eyeing Rini. "Prehaps this brute little guy?" Rini did a little dance move. She enjoyed that compliment. "Sure, I bet Rini would enjoy it." Logan said. He bent down to Rini's height and whispered, "Right, Rini?" Rini gave Logan a slight nod, probably because she was flattered by the girl's comment, then punched the air happily. She hopped over to the girl. "So, what do we do first?" Logan asked, watching Rini dance around him.

With the referee in place, the two trainers set themselves at two sides of a field. These were generally found outside pokémon centres, so battles here were generally found or observed. There wasn't much chance that the two would get much attention with beginner pokémon such as zorua and drillber, but in some ways it's the fighting spirit that counts more than the fight itself. The match begins.

Zorua, who is at Kio's side, steps forwarding, acknowledging that it is his battle and he is very much ready. Kio grasps his 'paws' and moves his foot forward into a stance. This was his first battle, so he wasn't too ready, but he had to make himself look ready. As childish as it may look, Kio was determined to look stronger ad intimidate his opponent, the recently dubbed Mathew.

With Maya as referee the two prepare for combat.

"I'll let you take the first move," Kio yells at Mathew, in hopes of it making him sound more impressive.

In truth, Kio, the little short boy with the wolf get-up, looked far less mature than the taller Mathew, although the two seemed to have similar athletic abilities if they were to be judged on their body shape. The two seemed worldly apart, and didn't seem coherent to one another. The thought had crossed Kio's mind that the two were almost opposites. Mature, immature. Tall, short. Each of these ideas contradicted towards this mental image of the two being separate, however, they do say that opposites attract.

Matthew smiled slyly, "Alright! If you say so." He paused, "Say.. you look kind of anxious." The lad laughed, "Though, it isn't particularly a bad thing. To be honest, I feel the same way." Truth be told, despite his rather crisp, calm bearing, Matthew was trembling with thrill; though, it was to be expected. "Drilbur, take stance!" The brown, long- nosed anteater bared its jaded claws, with its posture steadily upright.

"Here I come.. !" Matthew clamored in sheer marvel. "Drilbur, brick break! Penetrate through Zorua's defenses!" The long- nosed, russet anteater advanced steadily closer towards the darkly crimson, albeit small vulpine; once in an, albeit short distance, the tanned anteater propelled a simple thrust towards the crimson- accented bipedal fox. Madison smiled. Brick Break, huh? Despite only learning it not too long ago.. to execute it like this, is amazing. Though, I have to admit that the thrust is a tad bit too low, and could use a bit more fine tuning..

The move starts with Drillbur coming to attack with a powerful brick break. The move itself was powerful without doubt, this proved the Kio that he was quite outnumbered on moves. scratch, leer pursuit, hone claws. There wasn't much to do now but think about the net move.

Kio flinches and steps back when the move makes a direct hit onto Zorua. Although the fox pokémon was it badly with super effective move, he manages to stand himself upright in time. Kio then made the quick decision for the pokémon's next move.

"Hone claws zorua!" With haste the pokémon raises the pokémon's attack and accuracy.
"Now go in with pursuit!" The attack is fast and swift, the accuracy boost as well gives this a good chance of hitting and dealing some damage. Kio felt quite pleased with himself, understanding that he had not yet lost this battle, if not, not entirely. He felt at least he had done something clever midway that he could maybe keep all dignity if he lost. Not that dignity mattered much to him, dressing up as a wolf and walking around town with a tail sticking out of his back, yet still his personality was at risk. He was a strong character truth to be told, but if this battle were perhaps to finish early and him to lose,it would surely break his heart - at least now he feels like he gave it his all.

As Ryan and Piggy continued, the latter withdrawn into his Pokeball for a rest after the duo had stopped for lunch. The young boy, alone, stood at the entrance to Floccesy Ranch and stared awkwardly at the sign.

"Looks like an interesting place to explore, I'll come back later!" Ryan said to himself before walking towards the path that descended and then curved in front of him. He proceed along the path, excitement building for the night of fun and music ahead of him, Ryan loved music, he could play the guitar himself. Without even noticing he had started to hum his favorite song, he closed his eyes and listened to the roar of the crowd as Roxie came onto the stage, singing that very song.

Without even noticing, Ryan had walked into a boy walking in the opposite direction to him.

"Oh I'm s-" Ryan was cut off...

"Watch it!" The boy yelled.

"Well, I was about to say sorry if you would have listened!" Ryan argued.

"Well, you wouldn't need to have said sorry if you would have watched where you were going, and then, I wouldn't have had to listened then!" The boy made his point. Ryan then apologized sincerely, he didn't enjoy arguments himself, so when the opposition made a point, no matter the strength, Ryan would apologize. "Well, now that's behind us, how 'bout a battle?!?!" The boy finished.

"Ok, bring it! Piggy, c'mon out!" Ryan exclaimed, thrusting the Pokeball into the air, releasing Piggy once again. The boy released a Rattata from its Pokeball, stating his name was Joey and commanded that his small, purple, rat Pokemon use Quick Attack. "Quick Piggy, counter with Flame Charge!" Ryan commanded as the two small Pokemon made contact, damaging them both critically "Nice one Piggy, now Tackle!" Ryan commanded.

"Rattata, do the same!" Joey commanded, the two made contact once more, knocking out Joey's Rattata, leaving Piggy the victor. "Good job Rattata, return!" Joey said, returning the Pokemon to its Pokeball.

"Wow, great job Piggy! Return!" Ryan also stated, returning the Pokemon to its Pokeball.

"Well, good battle! Oh, and if your wondering, this Rattata is mine, sorry, its not on offer for trade." Joey stated, causing Ryan to chuckle a little.

"Thanks, same to you. Anyway, where'd you get that Rattata from anyway, I thought they didn't live in the wild in Unova?" Ryan quizzed Joey.

"Well, for starters, I'm from Johto and so is Rattata here, however, I am lead to believe that they do appear here, however very rarely as you never know when a trainer may release his or her Pokemon" Joey stated, now sounding like a wise man. "Anyway, nice to meet ya! I should probably make a move to get to Floccesy before nightfall" Joey said before running off. Ryan looked up to see a bright orange color in the clear overhead sky, telling him that night would be upon the Unova region within a few hours.

Ryan started to run and made it to Virbank in a matter of moments, he ran straight to the Pokemon Center once again, just like in Floccesy and healed Piggy and then asked Nurse Joy for a room to stay in for the night, she handed him a key and said the number 'eight' referring to the number of the room. Ryan walked down the corridor and to the door to his room before inserting the key into the lock and then turning it.

Running along the sandbar, Mia and Midnight happily bounded along as they traveled northward. It was summer, and several people had come to this area for a day at the beach. The duo didn't pay them much mind, save for a greeting or a wave as they made their way down the sandy path. "Maybe after we get a little work done we'll relax here," Mia spoke contently to her partner. The Eevee turned to face her Trainer and nodded. Midnight slowed her pace, waiting for Mia to catch up. The girl couldn't run quite as fast as her Pokemon, who had the advantage of being quadrupedal.

As the beach came to an end, the two were forced to climb a stairway, bringing them to the top of a cliff. The topography of this area was truly a sight to behold with its glittering beaches and rocky esplanades. Atop the cliff lay a portion of the road that had been somewhat overgrowned by vegetation. Ever since the completion of the Marine Tube some years back, this road had fallen into disrepair. Even the vacationers weren't that great in number; many, especially the wealthy ones preferred to go to the luxury resort that had opened in Humilau City. Mia's transportation capability was limited to her and Professor Juniper's budgets, which didn't usually allow for the fastest or most luxurious means of travel.

"Eevee!... Vee..." Midnight leaped into the air suddenly, landing and crouching on the ground as she and her Trainer passed a patch of tall grass. She had sensed something, and it wasn't long before Mia noticed movement in the foliage as well. "It must be a Pokemon," she commented casually. "I guess this will be our first battle!" The pair was reassured rather quickly as the creature, a white, furry Pokemon with a black face and claws jumped out from the grass, glaring at them. He seemed tense and perhaps nervous, as if he too was young and had just begin to strike out on his own.

"Alright Midnight, let's open this with.... Tackle!" Mia flipped open her Pokedex as she spoke, unsure of just what moves her new Pokemon could use. After hearing of what her father had done, she felt a little embarrassed to know so little about battling herself, but she would learn soon enough. On command, the Eevee hurled herself toward the Absol. Though small, the Evolution Pokemon's speed allowed her to strike with a decent amount of force. The Absol wasn't ready to give in however, retaliating with a swipe of his paw. Midnight did her best to get out of the way, but couldn't prevent herself from getting Scratched.

"Don't worry about it, you're doing great!," Mia called reassuringly. She knew letting her Pokemon get seriously wounded would be a bad thing, but they both knew a minor scrape was nothing to fret over. This fight wasn't over just yet. Absol was just as determined to win, leaping toward Midnight as another exchange of moves was set to begin. Mia had learned from the last bout. "Try Sand Attack!" Midnight spun in place, her tail facing her aggressor as she kicked up dirt and sand with her hind legs, hurling it into the Absol's eyes. He lunged, only to strike the ground as Midnight had moved out of the way while he was blinded. "Tackle it again!"

"Ee....ee...Veee!!!" Midnight sprung at the Absol with all her might, striking it with great force. The Disaster Pokemon tried to get up, but was severely weakened by the blow. "I guess it's my turn now," Mia chirped excitedly as she dug out one of the empty Pokeballs that Cedrc Juniper had given her. With a flick of her wrist, the sphere was sent skyward, colliding with the Absol and absorbing him in a flash of white light. The ball shook... once... twice... three times as Mia clenched her fists. The warning light on its front went dim as the object stopped shaking. Mia's gritted stare instantaneously widened into a grin. "We did it Midnight!," she yelled happily as the Eevee joyously danced around her. "That's a new partner for us. We'd better get going though."

With a new Pokemon in hand, Mia continued onward. She would take time to get to know her new Absol when she was in less of a hurry. It wasn't much longer before the esplanade ended on the other side of a bridge. Mia descended a second stairway cut into the rock, bringing her back down to the level of the ocean. This side of the route was rather desolate, though it seemed two girls and a small pink Pokemon were near the waterside. It was a baby by the look of it, playing happily with the smaller of the girls. The other one, who seemed to be watching them looked to be about Mia's age.

Curious, Midnight motioned toward the Igglybuff and its apparent white-haired owner. "Vee? Vee!," the Eevee squealed as she playfully tackled the rotund, pink Pokemon. "Come back here Midnight!," Mia called, a little frustrated. "I'm sorry if she's bugging you. We'll be on our way soon enough," she continued to the girl who had been playing by the water's edge. The Eevee didn't budge in the slightest, as if she thought her little intrusion would be more than welcomed. Mia sighed, turning her attention to the other teenager and apparent babysitter. "That's young Pokemon for you...." Yet another lesson to be learned- there were times when one just had to take things slowly.

((I can't remember what can be found on Route 13 aside from Absol and Magikarp... Maybe I'll make Mia a Dark specialist? :7: I'm going to assume Eevee's level 5 or something? I'm making Absol low leveled too since we're all starting out in different places.))

Arden looked at her trainer Fiammetta as she prepared to leave, She giggled and jumped on her shoulder "Snivy!" She said.

"Yeah, Arden!" She smiled taking her off her shoulder and placed the strap on it then laid Arden back down and smiled

"Dad! I'm off!" She smiled pickijg up her music, lyric books and her harmonica.

"Have fun sweetie! " he said kissing her forhead.

And with that Arden and Fiametta began.

Inari smiled at the little Riolu's dance and patted the table for her to jump up. "Well, I just need Riolu here to sit still, and you to watch."She answered the boy as she bagan to brush the Riolu down with a small soft bristle brush, then moved back to her bag. Pulling out a long thin orange ribbon as to compliment the primary color of blue that made up the Pokemon's fur. She moved close to the Riolu slowly as to show trust, Inari banded the ribbon around Riolu's neck a couple time as to shorten it so it wouldn't get in the way. Next she took out a couple of false training weight bands strapping them onto each of the Pokemon's ankles. Taking a step back Inair examined the little blue fighting Pokemon. She loved Riolu and Lucario, as they were both fox Pokemon.

Then A weak smile came over Inari's face. "And she is a girl...so..just a litle final touch of elegance." She took out a fake red hibiscus blossom and pinned it carefully behind Riolu's left ear. Lastly Inari misted her with a fine spray of fresh smelling fluid. "That should cover it, and for being such a good sport." Inari paused pulling out one of her recently made Protien Blocks handing it over to the little Pokemon. "This should give her a little boost in physical strength." Inari added to the boy with a smile.

"That's young Pokemon for you...."

Osaka shrugged her shoulders, relaxing the hand that gripped hard on her Pokeball.

"It's probably not my place to say," She said, looking at Minako as she held back the struggling Igglybuff. The girl then poked the nose of the Eevee, wagging her finger as if to say 'no'. "But you should keep an eye out for your Pokemon."

Osaka then smiled, waving a hand out to gesture in the air. "Of course, I should have noticed you and your Pokemon approach, but no harm done. Right?"

Drilbur was taken aback, as the darkly crimson vulpine further approached the russet anteater with a rather aggressive lunge. "Dri- Drilbur!" The brown, long- nosed anteater clamored in marveled thrill. Matthew smiled, pleased, "A well- executed maneuver, Kio! Nice one!" He paused, "Though.. I can't let ya' off the hook, just yet.."

"Alright! It's time to show em' what we've got, Drilbur! Rapid spin, and Brick Break, in tandem!" Matthew bellowed, his richly invigorating tone enthralled. The russet- nosed anteater began a rather serpentine, spiraling spin, with its gleaming jaded claws unfolded, further advancing closer to the small, albeit fierce vulpine. Once in a rather point- blank range, the russet- hued anteater began a succession of lightning- fast thrusts, yet still in a gyrating, spiraling spin; though with each thrust propelled, its serpentine rotation began to slacken, only to regain its impetus afterwards.

Ryan looked down at his watch to see that he still had an hour to wait until the concert so he decided to do some training with Piggy in Virbank Complex. Ryan released the Pokemon from its Pokeball and then walked with it to their destination. At first the two wondered around, not seeing any wild Pokemon. Soon after about a few minutes of searching, Piggy and Ryan's ears picked something up, it was the whimpering of a Pokemon, the duo bout worked together to search for it with no success, until...

'GRATH!!!!!' Ryan and Piggy turned at the sound and ran towards it, there was a shadow that within a few seconds, disappeared. Ryan's eyes fell upon a small Growlithe, sleeping though it was flinching. Ryan tried to wake it up and as the Pokemon did so, it became startled and used a weak Flamethrower on Ryan's face, forcing a cry of pain out of him. The Growlithe trembled with fear at the sight of the strange trainer, causing it to pass out on the spot. Ryan picked up the small being and cradled it in his arms, before withdrawing Piggy to his Pokeball and making a dash for the Pokemon Center. As soon as the duo arrived, Growlithe was handed to Nurse Joy and taken into a room for treatment as Ryan awaited patiently for news on the tiger Pokemon' health.

Midnight was eager to play with the Igglypuff, repeatedly bounding into it softly bouncing back on the Balloon Pokemon's rubbery hide. It was a fun game, and the Eevee could only hope her new playmate was enjoying it just as much as she was. When the little waved her finger at Midnight, she took it as just part of the game. With a hearty smile she stared at the two, wagging her tail playfully. It was quite adorable, at least from Mia's perspective. Yet she also know that perhaps the Igglybuff and the white-haired girl weren't having that good of a time.

"Alright Midnight, knock it off," she spoke sternly to her playful Pokemon. The other teenager had a point- as a Trainer Mia was responsible for what her Pokemon did. Being a Pokemon Trainer was more than just battling Pokemon- it also meant taking care of them and keeping them out of trouble, something she wasn't doing a good job with right now. Midnight eventually got the message, backing off and returning to her owner's side. "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to play later."

She focused her attention back to the teen standing next to her. "Yeah, looks like everyone's fine. We were on our way up to the Giant Chasm when Midnight here got all distracted." She couldn't help but smile and forgive the Eevee. Mia was ready to be on her way when she noticed something surfing around in the waves by the beach. "Look out!," she yelled, trying to get the little girl's and Igglybuff's attention as a jet of water was sprayed toward them. A brown star-shaped Pokemon jumped up from the sea, doing its best to stare the duo down despite lacking eyes. The red core in the center of its body glowed fervently. Unknowingly they must have been on its territory.

"Come on!," Mia yelped, dashing toward the child and her Pokemon. Her aura knight blood was kicking in, compelling her to protect the innocent. "Don't just sit there kid. Have your Igglybuff fight it off!"

As soon the stream of water hit Minako and Igglybuff, Osaka quickly moved closer to the water's edge and checked on her charges. Satisfied that aside from their drenched state (A Kimono isn't really ideal traveling clothes) that they're fine, she turned towards the attacker and watched with bemusement as a brown, star-shaped Pokemon flip in the air before splashing back down on the water's surface, the gleaming gem pointed at them.

"A Staryu." She recognized, flipping out her Pokedex to see what else it has to say.

120.gif
Staryu, The Starshape Pokemon.

Staryu's center section has an organ called the core that shines bright red. If parts of its body are torn, this Pokémon simply regenerates the missing pieces and limbs as long as the glowing red core is still intact. It appears in large numbers by seashores, and at night, its core slowly flickers with a slow rhythm like a Human heartbeat.

This Pokemon knows Recover, Harden, Water Gun and Rapid Spin.

Its things like this that make Osaka marvel at how wondrous Pokemon are. They're sentient, some even more intelligent than humans. It makes her wonder why they haven't built a community of their own.

Still, they have animal like tendencies, but so do Humans. And yet both seem to be able to coexist harmoniously, working together to help each other out. Of course, there is still discourse. Strife can't be totally avoided. There are those that have no problem with Pokemon, and those that have very a very tense relationship to them. It doesn't change the fact that both Humans and Pokemon live in the same world.

Kinda like this Staryu. It doesn't have hostile intention. More like it was trying to scare Minako and Igglybuff away, because it could have used Rapid Spin, which would definitely hurt the girl more.

Realizing that her thoughts wandered away, she pocketed her Pokedex, looked at Igglybuff behind her and Minako clutching the back of her jacket, and began her first battle in Unova. With that in mind, she delved into a meditative state she often reserved for Kendo Matches, only this time she's not the only one fighting.

-Anticipate an attack-

"Use Wish."

Igglybuff was confused at first. It, unlike the other Pokemon granted to starting trainers, hasn't been trained to follow every order its new trainer gives it. But the time together with the short-haired girl gave the tiny Pokemon the hope for it to defeat the annoying Pokemon that got its fur wet.

Osaka's Pokemon brought its tiny arms together, emitting a glow dulled by the morning sunlight. The Staryu didn't take to this well. The Water-type Pokemon sent forth another torrent of water, hitting Igglybuff and sent it rolling close to Osaka's feet.

It got up, puffed out its cheeks and made jabbing motions towards its opponent.

-Counter-

"Sing it a song."

To say that the Balloon Pokemon deflated is an understatement (and a bad pun), but it bounced back and smiled as it shared the song it made for Minako.

The Staryu seemed to be alarmed at that, if you count the red core in its center flashing rapidly being alarmed. It shot out of the water towards Igglybuff, colliding with it as it spun as fast as a shuriken. Osaka's Pokemon cried out, and at the same moment, the Wish came true.

Igglybuff's scrapes were healed, and its damp fur puffed out like it had just been blow-dried.

Then, Igglybuff's song kicked in.

The Starshape Pokemon flopped into the sand, its core pointed at the sky reflecting sunlight like a real jewel should. Osaka giving a short bark of a laugh at how lifeless it now seemed. Still, she knew the battle wasn't done yet, and Igglybuff knows it. The pink Pokemon bounced excitedly in place as it pointed an arm towards the Staryu, its big red eyes pleading to Osaka for it to punish the offender that dared mess with its play time with Minako and messed up its perfect fur.

Of course, how could she resist.

-Finish the opponent off-

"Fine. You may Pound it."

Igglybuff cheered, skipped to the sleeping Pokemon's side, and placed a well aimed Pound attack at the center of the core. After that, Osaka watched as her Igglybuff beat the living daylights out of the Wild Pokemon, which isn't limited to jumping up and down its body, kicking it, rolling it around in the sand, and biting it.

Huh... She actually feels sorry for it. Guess she should catch it to save it the trouble.

As Osaka was about to throw the spare Pokeball at the Starshape Pokemon, it seemed to have woken from its slumber, judging by how its limbs quivered as it tried to stand up. Igglybuff jumped away in surprise, but the Staryu simply fell back on the sand as its core flashed.

With a humorless laugh, she tossed the ball in a lazy arc, connecting with one of the wild Pokemon's limbs and absorbing it into the capsule. It only rocked once before it was caught. Her Igglybuff then did a little jig in happiness.

-Finally, give respect to your fallen opponent-

"I... Think my Igglybuff went too far. What do you think?" Osaka said, turning to the only other trainer around. Minako nodded from her place beside the older girl's legs. Her friend is scary when its angry!

Such a strange combinations of moves dazzled in Kio's eyes; he watched in amazement as the drill pokémon came closer to - aha - nickname thought up! Kio failed to notice that Zorua had been hit fiercly, and in the duration of that time Kio was turned scratching his head on his next move.

"I should call you Dusty!" Kio said, turning around and pointing his paw at his - now fainted - Zorua. As he noticed his situation he stood back, an expression of sadness and shock spread across his face. "God damn," he whispered to himself.

Kio picks up his fainted Zorua and holds him in his arms. He laughs to himself a little before exclaiming that he has 'learned' something from this battle. "I learned not to think of names during a battle!" He pulls a wide spread smirk before walking over to the boy.

"Mathew, if that is your real name, you were really good in that battle..." Kio faces the ground in embaresment as he prepares himself to say these words. "Can I travel with you?"

Matthew smiled, pleased with his rather clean handiwork, "Thanks, Kio! You weren't too shabby yourself!" Madison chimed in, with a rather calm, albeit blithe expression, "Yup! In fact, you have a lot of potential! I'm sure that if you keep working hard on it, you'll surely become a great trainer someday!" Truth be told, the blonde- haired lass was considerably impressed of Kio's quick handiwork; indeed it was to be commended. Matthew's manifesting smile, truth be told, grew wider at the Kio's, albeit sudden, proposition, "Sure thing! I wouldn't mind having another friend to come along! After all, the more the merrier!" He paused, "Say.. how long have you been a trainer, Kio?"

Nurse Joy came through a doorway with the Growlithe curled in her arms and stated that it was fine, and that Ryan should be more careful battling.

"Wait, that Growlithe isn't mine." Ryan responded, kind of offended by the comment.

"What? This Growlithe is owned by a trainer, I healed it earlier. Oh, it mus-" Nurse Joy was cut off by Ryan.

"What? What Nurse Joy!?" Ryan exclaimed.

"Well, my assumption is that this Growlithe must have been a-" Nurse Joy was cut off once more as a trainer strided into the Pokemon Center.

"Yeah, I just dumped that weak Growlithe that lost its second battle in a row. It was pathetic!" The boy announced to the whole Center.

"You wouldn't know strength if it hit you in the face!" Ryan yelled at the boy, figuring out the rest of the nurses' statement.

"Oh, is that a challenge!" The boy yelled back "The name is Rob, by the way!" He continued, honing in on Ryan's face, intimidating him.

"No, I just think that its ridiculous that you leave a Pokemon harshly injured in a gutter, only because it lost two battles in a row!" Ryan's face burned a bright red.

"Then why don't you take it for yourself!" Rob said carelessly and strided out of the building. Nurse Joy, the Pokemon still curdled in her arms, handed it to Ryan before walking away to help another trainer and her Pokemon. Ryan pulled out an empty Pokeball from his bag and captured the small Pokemon.

"It'll be alright." Ryan said softly under his breath before making his way to the Roxie concert.
