I'm sorry if this sounds indecisive, but I'm going to push back the date of the RP start to June 16th, since I figure that not everyone will have time to make an SU that quickly. Also, finals factor in there somewhere.

Also, Signups are now open again. However, if you want to join this, post your SU here; there is no reserving allowed as of now.

My SU everyone! :3

-----

Name: Barry McKendrick

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Pokemon You Want To Be: Munchlax

Personality: Barry is not to always be taken seriously. He can be quite the goofy character, looking for enjoyment in things, one way or another. He has a great sense of humour - according to his friends as he does not particularly like to boast. He is slightly lacking in intelligence - he isn't the smartest guy around - and there are many things he has trouble figuring out or has yet to learn. Barry dosen't push himself too much either. He's pretty lackluster, and has a number of lazy days. He goes by the theory of, "Don't get involved if it's got nothing to do with you" - to quote him. The tendancy to not take certain things seriously can irritate others from time to time (namely his family), however this also means he stays out of trouble and never seeks to hurt anyone. On occasions he can be rather loud too, bursting out whenever he is surprised or confused. However, Barry has a strict moral code. When provoked, he can more than stand up for people, or indeed the relative 'right thing' to do.

One more thing. Barry loves food. He likes nearly every edible thing on the planet, and never lets food go to waste. He will jump at the chance of food, and often the desire to eat will get in the way of his basic line of thought.

Appearance (Pokemon): As a Munchlax, Barry stands at roughly 2 feet in height. His physique is that of a short, plump creature with stubby, three-claw-toed feet and fairly short arms with five-fingered hands. His fur is a teal colour (with tan patches on his chin/chest), and grows out in a shaggy way at the bottom of his body. Barry has two horn shaped ears growing up from the top of his head, and his eyes are basic white ovals with black dots as pupils.

Appearance (Human): As a human, Barry was the average height of around 6 foot and, similar to his Munchlax form, he was slightly plump. This large build results in him also having rather big limbs - such as big, stubby fingers and clumsy looking feet. Barry has fair, cream coloured skin and his hair is very wavy and 'full' looking - as it is quite thick and grows outward slightly. The hair itself is a rich brown colour, and this compliments his brown iris colour.

Clothing wise, Barry opts for more simplistic wear - however adds his own touches. Most times, he will wear a button-up shirt with the top one or two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He favours deep blue jeans, however is not very fussy about trousers - swapping from day to day between them, cargo pants and so on. Barry favours brown boots for footwear, and sometimes dosen't even bother to tie them up. He also likes his accessories - wearing a watch on his left wrist and a small medallion style neckpiece he got on holiday once.

History: Barry McKendrick was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland throughout his life - son of Natalie McArthur and Gregor McArthur. He has an older and younger sister - Erin and Stacey. During it, nothing 'major' never really happened or has affected him badly - which may be a reason for his carefree attitude (see Personality). He made steady progression in Primary school - keeping with the same circle of friends and maintaining a decent school performance. The next big thing for Barry would be the move to High School. It was a shaky start - he began to seperate more from his friends, and he found it hard to socialise in the new school environment. Nonetheless, his attitude to work remained respectable, and slowly he began to fit in again with his schoolmates.

However the key turning point in Barry's life so far was, surprisingly, one particular night when he and a group of his friends went to see a famous stand up comic. Like most professional tours, it was no doubt funny, however Barry still remembered the gut feeling he had while watching the comedian. He realised that he wanted to venture into that lifestyle (and according to his friends, he had a good sense of humour to go by).

Eventually, though, this had a knock-on effect on his studies. Spending more time socialising/going out with friends and widening his range of knowledge on comedians, Barry's performance at school began to deteriorate. Work didn't have as much detail, homework was late or unfinished etc. This last minute slip up meant that he couldn't get the best start to life as he hoped. Barry is currently applying for a course in Media or a related field at a number of Universities.

ALSO: The character's Scottish. So yeah, thick accents and all ^^'

AND MY SU (WHICH IS COOLER!)

Name: Felix Roke

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Riolu

Personality: Generally, Felix tries to maintain a detached image from the world and people around him, even though he claims that he doesn't care what people think. Not big on team work or anything that doesn't involve an "I", he urges others not to include him in anything that doesn't interest him… which he has everyone believe would be just about everything. Although he tries to ignore people's comments, some key ones eat away at his forced exile, and cause him to react, always violently.

Giving up is something Felix was never good at; he is a very strong-willed person. For him, a direct path is always the right way to travel. People without the drive to follow through what they have begun or promised to do are truly the biggest annoyance for him.

Unfortunately for strategy's sake, Felix is extremely impulsive, often acting on pure instinct or a "feeling", resorting more often to steel-fisted violence than negotiation to settle disputes. He often lets pettiness or pure vindictiveness get the better of him. He also holds a reputation for being foul-mouthed and rude to his elders. Moreover, Felix can be a sarcastic critique, often getting into multiple troublesome situations as a result.

However, Felix doesn't always act this way. Sometimes, his actions and personality from when he was younger leaks through to his older self. In rare occasions, Felix can be very empathetic and truly compassionate towards others, and will go out of his way to help even random strangers. However, this is only if they are willing to help themselves.

Appearance:

Human: Sky blue eyes that molded into a look that could kill: the first thing you are drawn to when looking at Felix.

The next would be the bloody nose, black eye, or bandage that almost always adorns his face.

Standing at 6'0'', Felix is neither lanky nor muscular, but falls somewhere in between. His hands always fall in his white hooded jacket, the zipper and pockets laced with blood red thread. His jeans, a light blue, are faded and worn, only outdone by a pair of white tennis shoes. His short black hair is always spiked up, the ends bleached blonde.

Pokemon:
While now a Riolu, Felix's appearance does not deviate too much from his new species. The fur between his head is messy and unkempt and his eyes constantly glow with a sky blue sheen, mimicking the color of both his newfound aura and his human eyes. On the bridge of his muzzle is a Band-Aid, remnants of a bloody nose he had when he was human and the only remnant he holds.

History:
Growing up in Washington D.C., people would believe life would be interesting. So many people in one place were bound to gravitate towards one another, causing many adventures and events. However, Felix's life, in contrast, was rather uneventful. Every day since he came of age, he would go to school, come home, sleep, and repeat. Sure, there was the odd fight, encounter, or happening, but otherwise, his routine was never broken.

In school, like the rest of his life, he distanced himself from others, only going to the institution for the grades, which even then weren't spectacular. Most of the time, he would be found dozing off in every class, lunch included.

Art was the sole exception to this routine, the only class Felix managed to function in. Most teachers even believed he spent the rest of his day preparing for this class. Here, Felix, while not the most talented, was the most devoted and hard working, putting his soul and vision into every stroke of the brush. However, as soon as the bell signaled the end, he would return to his regular schedule of sleeping. Thus, the monotony continued.

That is, until the day the H.T.P arrived on his doorstep. Felix, almost reluctantly, opened it, the curiosity undermining his resistance.
His vision quickly faded to black.

I'm sorry grishnax! I just got the news-I can't participate in the roleplay, since it's beginning on the 16th, I'm going to be on vacation, and not very active. I wouldn't want to drag it down in my inactivity, so I'm afraid I'll have to delete my sign-up. So sorry! :(

Interested. :3

Name: (Name/nickname)

Kai Hairu

Age: (12-19, though you can PM me if you feel you need to be older/younger than that.)

14

Gender: (Should be obvious)

Male

Pokemon You Want To Be: (Should be obvious)

Larvitar
Personality: (What is your character like?)
People like Kai were usually easygoing and friendly. He was curious and outgoing so he meets new friends where ever he goes. Active, talkative, and uninhibitied, he had fun at whatever he was doing and seemed to bring energy and life to any situation. He also liked being outdoors, and used to play sports or other kinds of games.
Appearance: (What does your character look like? Make sure to include both a human and Pokemon description!)

(Human Form) Tan skin, Blue Eyes, Black Trench-coat, Black sleek jeans.

(Pokemon Form) Pretty much the average Larvitar, Cory has no differences except having a little mysterious glow on his horn and his belly is a pale white.

History: (What has happened in the past to your character? Remember, you can't show any interest in Pokemon, and are not from the Pokemon world.)

Kai was born in Japan but moved to the USA when he was nine. During his adventures of being from a kid to a teen, he encountered many people and befriended them, but he was always categorizing them as a not so important part of his life. Instead, he dedicated his life to only one friend, that was a kid named George. They would often discuss about games on the Nintendo Console. Sadly, when Kai was 12, George died of a heart attack and Kai sank into depression. Or at least, until a mysterious parcel arrived...

RP Sample: (Spoiler tag or link. If you don't have a sample, you can write what happens right before you open the H.T.P.) (I don't know how to do spoilers, but I will just write it without spoilers then.) Kai stared at the parcel once again. He read the letter. It said that is was free. However, Kai was still against the fact that it was, as he was about to find out. He thought, " I must well give it a shot, my life is wasted, anyway..." Then, as he was opening the parcel, he blacked out.

I'm just asking out of curiosity, is there the possibility of evolution during this RP? I realize it would be a very long time before any of us evolve, but I'm just wondering if it's possible.

Pikatroll is Denied. You have nowhere near enough detail in your SU. His history is vague at best, and your human appearance is literally a list. Also, he seems somewhat Mary Sue-ish. Sorry, but you'll have to brush up on your RPing skills a lot before you'll be accepted.

DJYosh: Yes, you will be able to evolve during this RP.

Also, an notice to anyone who is playing: If you decide that you want to be a different Pokemon before the starting date, you may switch as long as no one else has already claimed the Pokemon of your choice..

FinalMaster is Accepted. Your character is pretty interesting, although I feel like you could add a bit more detail.

Also, for leveling up with friendship, I'm going to say that you can evolve at level 17 and up; meaning you can evolve any time you level up to level 17 or greater.

Yeah, I suppose it wasn't that fleshed out of a signup. I am absolutely terrible with history sections as a general rule, though, because I prefer to explore their pasts in-character.

Speaking of IC, it's June 17th here. Timezones are tricky business, so it might've been handy to mention which timezone it'd be june 16th in when we started.

((OOC: The RP has officially started as of this post! All OOC discussion will now take place in the OOC thread.))

When Casey awoke, he couldn't see anything. Where am I? He thought. A loud boom of thunder gave him no more time to think, as the floor tilted and he rolled to the side. On reflex, he braced himself, and then realized that he could actually move to brace himself. Something must have fixed my body... But how? I don't think that anything could heal that fast. Suddenly, he heard a man yelling.

"Captain, we're not going to make it!" The person yelled at the top of his lungs. The storm was really loud, after all.

"Stay on course, you cowards! We'll make it to the port!" Another, gruffer voice replied. At this point, Casey decided that it might be worth calling out to the people outside.

"Hey! I'm stuck in here! Can someone let me out?" Casey yelled. However, because of the frantic actions going on outside his black space, no one heard him. Then, Casey started to slide within his confined space.

"Gah! The cargo!" The gruff voice yelled, and Casey heard several people rushing towards him. At this point, he was not sliding; he was tumbling. Then, suddenly, the rolling stopped, and he started to fall. And, right before impact, he fainted once again.

---

"Ugg..." Casey groaned as he became conscious once again, "What happened?" He looked around him. He had somehow wound up on a beach, with fragments of broken crate all around him. He then saw a large, boney protrusion that was in the middle of his face. "What is this?" Casey wondered, surprised that he wasn't more disturbed by it. He looked down, and saw that his hands were different. Well, this is interesting... He pondered, and walked over to the water to check out what the situation was. When he looked down, he saw that he was completely different! However, he felt that he had seen this form before...

Finally, he recognized his form. It was from that Pokemon game he had played after his grandfather had died! "Well," Casey said, "This is certainly interesting." Now, what to do...

((OOC It looks like I'm the first IC reply as well as the first general reply. Huh.))

It took a moment after his awakening for Blair to realise it was pitch black. Wherever he was, he was packed so tightly that he was effectively immobilized. He felt a harsh rocking, and heard fierce winds blowing.

Suddenly thunder struck, and his container tilted dangerously before suddenly rolling over.

Somebody shouted over the ghastly symphony of the storm, "Captain! We're not going to make it!"

Blair gasped as he realized the implications of the man's words. He was on a ship. What if it crashed, or sank, or… It dawned on him that this was exactly what was happening. He started shaking.

"Stay on course, you cowards!" a second voice called out. "We'll make it to the port!"

There were noises, maybe more people shouting. They were too indistinct to tell.

"Gah! The Cargo!" Shouted the second person. Then people running across what was evidently the deck.

"Hello?!" Blair called out, voice a little shriller than he would have liked. His crate started rolling further, picking up speed… suddenly it stopped rolling – and started falling.

Just before his crate hit the water, Blair blacked out.

***

Blair moaned, regaining consciousness. Where… am I? He thought, as although he had not yet opened his eyes, he could feel the sand and shredded crate remains beneath him, and he was still dripping wet.

He opened his eyes. He was on a beach, the infinite depth and horror of the seas behind him. Further away were a multitude of rocks.

He then focused on himself. Something was very wrong in that regard. His arms, at least, were coated in soft, fluffy, brown fur, and he'd wager the rest of him was too.

Slowly but surely, the boy-that-was-probably-not-a-boy-anymore attempted to right himself vertically. He ventured up onto two legs, and attempted to shuffle forwards.

It didn't work. Whatever he was now, it wasn't bipedal.

So, he decided to turn around.

Carefully, he pivoted until he was facing the ocean. Though it wasn't the clearest water, it gave him a sense of what he now was.

He was… a sort of composite creature. The overall body structure was that of a dog or cat, but the ears were clearly rabbitlike and the tail obviously belonged to a fox. He also possessed a collarlike ruff of fur around his neck.

Bizarre curiosity sated, Blair turned his attention back to the beach.

Where am I? And is there anyone else out here?

"SON OF A- GAH! OW!" Beyard shouted as he tumbled around inside of the wooden confines of a crate. Normally, he would use his hands to brace himself and stop, but he could not seem to move his hands. Did they tie him up then toss him into the crate?
He could hear voices coming from outside.
"You cowards had better let me out of this thing! If I have to break my own way out you will pay for it!" Beyard shouted in anger.
Beyard didn't know how he got in this situation, but he sure as heck wanted out of this box. Suddenly, Beyard was thrown against the side of the crate with considerable force. It produced a sound of the scraping.. of steel? Beyard struggled to move, but his backside was somehow stuck to the wood.

"Gah! The Cargo!" someone shouted from outside. Suddenly, Beyard could feel his prison begin to build up speed. It started to tumble and roll, spinning Beyard around as he was still firmly stuck into the side of the crate. The crate hit something solid before it was tossed into the air above open water. Beyard passed out before the crate even hit the water.

====================================================

Beyard woke up, blinking in the sunlight that so rudely invaded his vision. Beyard out of habit reached out his arm to shield his eyes... but there were no arms to speak of. Beyard struggled, and realized his back was still stuck into a fragment of the crate. Beyard could sense that he was bobbing on water. Beyard shifted his vision slightly to the right and saw an island.
"GRRRRRRR GET ME OFF OF THIS." Beyard struggled and shook then suddenly broke out into a spin. The wooden plank was ripped apart, and the spin set Beyard skimming across the island into the sand of the beach with a THUMP.

"How did I do that?" Beyard asked, righting himself up with no apparent use of arms or legs. He didn't have any limbs, but he seemed to have control over his movements all the same. But he could never do this before. Beyard looked down into the ocean water and was greeted with a vision of.... a.... thing. A spiny metal egg or some crap like that.
"What... the....... What the hell is this?!" He shouted looking down at the reflection. Was that... what he looked like now? A spiny egg with eyes?
"Wait.." Beyard said, looking down into the water again. "My friend told me about a spiny egg thing, right?" His friend was a real geek when it came to video games and stuff. He said his favorite was... ferronut? It was some sort of spiny egg pokeman.. maybe? It was a faint and indistinct memory.

Beyard used his newfound body to spin 180 degrees around to face the island.
"...Oh right. Stranded. Hello?! Anyone out there?!"

A mix between shouts, roaring thunder, and oncoming seasickness jolted Felix out of his slumber. Somewhat groggily, Felix stood, almost immediately being knocked off his feet, rolling head over heels into a wall, smashing his head against it.

"Sh!t" He exclaimed, rubbing the bump and sitting up. Where the hell was he? Ceiling to floor was covered in wood; the cracks leaking with water, soaking and chilling him to the bone. Felix jumped up balancing himself as his container swayed and shook.

Voices called all around him, pleading for anyone to let them out, to let them free. Felix quickly added his own voice to the mix, pounding against the side of his wooden cage, anger in each word and punch. Much like the many other voices, all shouting and screaming, his was not answered.

He didn't hear the man yell that the cargo was falling, he just felt the weightlessness churn his stomach. That is, until he crashed against the waves below.

--------------------------

A few coughs quickly emptied his lungs of any remaining water. What the hell was going on? One minute, he was at his house, the next, almost drowning!

Felix stood on shaky legs, taking each step slowly, doing his best to balance himself, not even noticing he was standing on what would be his toes. He was soaked to the bone, and something around him reeked of wet dog. To top it off, Felix hadn't been this sore since he fought those three guys on his way back from school.

But that wasn't Felix's biggest worry, he needed to find out where he was, and why there was this blue blob blocking (say that 10x fast) the bottom-half of his vision. He reached up to rub his eyes, only to notice that his hands looked different. They were black, and not even hands at all, he had paws!

Almost out of instinct, Felix dashed over to the pristine ocean, stumbling a few times out of both fright and inexperience with his new body. Peering into the waves, he got the first good look at his new body, and it immediately explained why he smelled like a wet dog.

He was covered from head to tail in blue and black fur, the later lazily swayed behind him. Two big, fur-like clumps hung from the side of his head, sensitive to the touch, while his ears had become pointier, moving to the top of his head. He was a dog, well, kind of. A blue one that stood on two legs. His canine muzzle dropped, leaving Felix and full view of his sharp teeth.

"There's no way. This can't-" Felix's disbelief was stopped short as the dog-like creature reflected in the water imitated his movements. The shock overcoming him, he fell backwards onto the sand, smashing his tail and inadvertently letting out a yelp. As he re-adjusted himself, grabbing his new scythe-like tail he reached deep into his mind. This creature he now was reminded him of one in a cartoon he used to watch. Felix stroked his new tail, trying to remember the days when he used to watch the cartoon. Suddenly, it snapped into his mind.

"Gabumon. Right?" Was that it? He couldn't quite remember. As he sat on the sand, the cold waves occasionally brushing up against him, all Felix knew was that he must've hit his head pretty hard.

Jostled and tossed around, Bob wakes suddenly, wondering why he was asleep in the first place. He braces himself against two walls, deducing that he's inside a box of some sort. Okay, don't panic. Think this through. What's the last thing you remeber? he thinks to himself, trying to figure out what's going on.

"Captain! We're not going to make it!" a voice yells out, sounding frightened.

Captain? Are we on a boat of some kind? And what's he mean, "not going to make it"?

"Stay on course, you cowards!" a second voice called out. "We'll make it to the port!"

Bob strains his ears, since he can't see anything inside his box. Wait. Do I even have air holes in this thing? There should be some light, maybe if I can find one I can see out if it! Brilliant! Good job, now just-

Wait, am I moving?

"Gah! The Cargo!"

Bob is knocked loose from the wall as something collides with his box, and he feels his stomach drop out as the box falls. "Okay, now it's time to panic! AAAAHHHH-" His screaming is interrupted by his box hitting the water, and his head hitting the wall of the box.

****

Bob opens his eyes, immediately shutting them as the sun glares down on him. He groans, holding a hand in front of his face as he opens his eyes again. "Sun? Cool it, please. It's too bright..." As his eyes adjust, he notices something wrong about his hand. "I must be asleep still. That looks like a cat's paw." He struggles to rise, finding it easier to walk on all fours. "What's all this now? Where have I gone?" He walks over to the water, thinking that he'll wake up if he splashes his face. To his surprise, a purple-furred cat stares back at him from the water.

"Gah!" He leaps back, roaming his paws over his cat-like body. "I'm all furry! I'm now a cat? This is all so strange!" He lets out a loud mreow of panic, then spins in a circle in confusion. After a minute, he returns to the water, looking his reflection over. "Alright, Bob, old boy. Get yourself together. Let's see what we've got here. Purple fur, odd for a cat, but it's alright. Orange eyes, not too bad... All four limbs, and my cat instincts are helping me move around, it seems. I'm rather liking the tail, scythe-like and all that..."

He steps back, curiosity now forming. "Right! Let's see where I am. Sand is the same, trees are the same... too humid to be anywhere near my home, though. Let's see if I can find anything out!" He heads down the beach, spotting a blue dog-like creature sitting on the shore. "Ha! What's that? Some sort of dog-thing, perhaps? Hopefully it likes cats, I guess..." He silently heads over toward the creature, stopping a few paces away to introduce himself. "Excuse me! Mind if I talk to you?"

The first thing Barry felt was an unpleasant swaying motion. next he could hear the harsh pitter-patter of rain above him. He opened his eyes to more darkness, with only a glint of light peeking through a hole.

"Am I..." he began. he felt around him, able to press his hands against two wooden walls. he reached up. Yep, a ceiling too.

"I'm in a box?" Last he could remember, he opened some black thing he got delivered to him. So how did that lead to this?

"Captain! We're not going to make it!" a panicked voice shouted. this confirmed Barry's sneaking suspicion that he was on a boat.

"Stay on course, you cowards!" a second voice barked. "We'll make it to the port!"

"Uhh.." Barry couldn't make heads nor tails of this situation. He rattled the panels of his crate with a fist, "Hello? Excuse me, there's someone in here!"

"Gah! The Cargo!" as Barry heard this, he began sliding unfavourably to the side. Wait, he was cargo? Had he been kidnapped?

Quickly finding the air hole of his crate, he peeked an eye out. Before he could react, he saw another crate teetering over the rails of the ship fast approaching. bracing himself, the crates collided, the first one knocked over and then, to his horror, Barry saw the violent, murky sea below him, and then his crate tipped.

A splash. inside the crate, Barry smacked into the floor face-first, then blacked out for a second time.

----------

Again, Barry found himself waking up after unexplained events. This time though he was lying in the sunlight. He winced as his eyes weren't yet used to the brightness. looking around, he found himself still on his back, though on a floating piece of what he guessed was his crate, slowly drifting a few meters from a sandy shore. He could see one or two unusual creatures on said beach, which puzzled him at first.

"I should get to land first," he said to himself, standing up. This is where he paused. Everything seemed so... big. He was only ten feet or so from land, but the water looked so deep. It was as he peered into the water that he actually registered his reflection.

He was a stubby, teal green looking thing. His head was now oval shaped and produced to large pointy protrusions from it. He touched one, it felt like his ear. he also had two cartoon looking eyes and a huge mouth, with two lower teeth jutting out. He opened his mouth - it was like a cave! He closed it. THAT was him.

...

Barry yelled out at the top of his voice.

"Okay... don't panic, it's probably a dream, right? Yea! A very realistic dream... but still just that..."

He stood up straight, looking around. The landscape was so... tropical looking. Well compared to what he was used to, anyway.

Taken by surprise, the crate remains drifted into shore and lodged into the sand. barry was thrown forward and face first into the dirt.

If this was a dream, then it felt too real. And he was taking his precious time waking up, too.
