Spriting duels have been around for a very long time and died many times and have been revived courtesy of Amachi and Fox 3-4 years ago. Sadly it has died between those years. Today I bring you the new and revived Pixel Art Duel thread! You'll be able to setup a spriting duel and have a battle consisting of 1 friend or 2 in a small pixel art competition!

[a id]what[/a id]What Is A Spriting Duel?


Basically a spriting duel is a small spriting competition between you and one or two other friends.

[a id]rules[/a id]Rules


All Pokécommunity Rules and Pixel Art Rules apply.

1. The judges will be picking the themes.

2. Stealing sprites will NOT be tolerated and strictly dealt with.

3. Sprites must be made only and specifically for the duel,meaning you can not enter sprites that have already been made in the past.

4. Only two duels can be ongoing.

5. Voting threads will be in the Competitions section of the forum. Yes, these duels will depend on the people.

6. Only three people can be in a duel.

7. The themes will be Pokémon related only unless you and your opponent(s) would like a theme unrelated to Pokémon.

8. Your opponent must accept your duel in under 5 days. After that, the challenger is available to duel someone else.

9. The deadline to send your sprite in is 7 days.

10. Have fun. This is just for fun people, that means have good sportsmanship and good spirit. :D

1. Starting The Duel

In this thread you must post in this thread or send a PM of who you are battling to countryemo. Your opponent(s) must agree to battling you and also post in the thread or send countryemo a PM as well for a confirmation.

2. Theme

Once you send the PM, be patient and wait for the judge to send you the theme and restrictions. If you haven't received the PM please send a visitor message to the judge.

3. The Entry

Send a PM to countryemo or Logiedan with your entry and there will be a voting thread in the Competitions thread.

Logiedan, you should post the conditions of the duels here when they're set, so that the audience will know what's going on. Maybe even the sprites the duelists choose, should you know them. :D

Also, dibs on the winner of the Lumin/Ice match.

And on that note:

There's an ongoing duel right now between Chesu and Froslass_Maniac which needs you pixel artists out there and vote for which sprites you would like to win.
The theme our two duelists had to do was a 'Three Sprite Amalgamation'
An amalgamation sprite is when you create a fakemon taking different bits and pieces of existing official Pokémon sprites, fusing them together to create the fakemon's anatomy.

Luminssence has not responded to Spherical's duel request.
Spherical Ice is available for a duel now.

(A new rule I made, challenger's opponent must accept a duel and respond in under 5 days.)

Hello duelists,
Froslass_Maniac has recently challenged Spherical Ice to a pixel art duel.

Their theme is, "Devamping Issues". Their challenge is to take a Pokémon from the 5th generation and devamping it into G/S/C conditions.

Some important restrictions are:
Dimensions - 56x56
Colours - Maximum is 4. The colours will have to be Black and white and two optional colours of the duelist's choice.

The voting thread is up and it's time for you guys to vote for whose sprite is most impressive!

going to double post for the sake of sort of a bump and notice.

Hello duelists,
A duel has just ended! It was the duel between Chesu and Froslass_Maniac. The duel was quite intense and the theme was "Three Sprite Amalgamation."
This means a spot for another duel.
