Meh, remakes are always a gamble because you never know how much of a fan(boy/girl) the director/writer of it will be. So they could either make it 10x more awesome or 1000x more crappy

Tbh the only reason I still pay attention to the Spiderman movies is because I'm still waiting for Carnage to be in one of them lol.

I heard the Avengers was pretty tight though.

I wouldn't say it's a remake so much as another take on Spiderman movies from another comic book's canon (Ultimate Spiderman, if I'm correct, which does keep the Carnage possibility alive). It's not great, but I still prefer it to the original trilogy.
