I can't understand/hate that stereotype.

Is there a certain stereotype about your gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity , or etc that you hate or don't understand?

I don't think I'll ever get the "men don't ask for directions" stereotype. That is something that is untrue for a lot of the guys I know. Every time I go somewhere I've never been before , I always look up directions. Either online or if I'm out, then I'll stop somewhere and ask someone in the area. When my dad gets lost on a trip or when just going from point a to point b, he also always stops to get directions. Though it seems that society thinks the opposite and I hate that so much.I can see how men are more prideful at times (which might also be another stereotype) , but it's not gonna kill you or anyone to stop for help every now and then. You will still looked up by your family as the provider and father figure if you raise your kids right. Your pride and dignity won;t be hurt much just from asking directions. In fact asking for help from can be way more easier and less stressful than not.

I can't stand the one where we ride kangaroos to school and say g'day mate all the time. Sure, it was amusing at first but really? C'mon guys don't assume this stuff about Australia based off one stupid film. >_>

The average Americans keep thinking we live in Windmills, having tulips all over the place, wearing wooden shoes at every possible moment, eating cheese for dinner, and using a bicycle a lot.

Well, the bicycle part is true, but anything else? Nope!

Try saying "Good eye might" without sounding Australian! :O

One thing I absolutely hate is when people automatically assume that I'm stupid and fat all because I'm from America. I have an extremely open mind and if I lost any weight, I would be blown away on the breeze. Well, I have a little meat on these bones, but not that much. I've been told to piss off of certain arguments online just because I was American and everyone thought that I was going to say stupid things and be extremely closed-minded about everything.

There's a lot of truth to a lot of stereotypes, and I like joking about them all the time. But the one that irritates me the most is when people associate interests with a particular sexuality. I will never in my life be able to understand how liking something correlates, in others' minds, to someone being gay.

The average American seems to think that if you're from England you're a stuck up, rich snob who enjoys afternoon tea. Umm, not at all.

I don't understand why people think that because I am an atheist, I am a bad person...
I try to be nice to people all the times and respect their religious rights.

I really hate that stereotype that left-handers are "of the devil" and "need to be destroyed before they can harm others". It's more of an inconvenience to my day than you'd think. Adds half an hour to my trip to work every day.

Well, recently, I've got an American asking me if I was Mexican, because one of my Videos had Dutch text (or 'Spanish', as he/she said that).

I wish people would be a bit nicer on how they ask things. :/ Stereotyping sucks.

There's sooooo many about black people. Where do I even start?

"Black people love fried chicken":
It's okay, but it's hardly my favorite food. I tend not to like anything fried. Actually...now that I think about it, there's some truth to this stereotype. I'm just an exception :P

"Black people love watermelon":
I hate watermelon. It tastes like edible water. Watermelon flavored things are delicious, but watermelon itself? Blegh.

I don't understand the long hair stereotypes. He must smoke the sensimilla with that long hair. Or, he must be a skater or something. Etc. While in my case its mostly true, it has no connection to my hair. And I have fellow long haired friends (The lion pride lol) and they don't match the stereotype. I don't think most people do match any stereotypes. Just the ones that stand out do and that's what I hate. :o

I haven't heard of any Bulgarian stereotypes, but I'll surely laugh them off. I don't take stereotypes seriosuly, to be honest.

Most stereotypes regarding autistic people are relevant to only a very small percentage of the autistic population. I have yet to meet a single autistic person who can memorize a ****ing deck of cards and use this to cheat in a casino but apparently a lot of people seem to act like we can. Also, just because it's a social disorder doesn't mean you can't be talkative. I talk a lot but with most people I struggle to actually maintain a conversation flow, but I think my energy keeps people interested. Also, Christian Weston Chandler is an awful discrace of a human being and people need to stop acting like that's how aspies are.
