Ruby hack: POKéMON Coral

Introduction

For everybody: Turquoise is NOT dead, it's just on hold. I'll continue it in August, when I come from the seaside... Such a fine word that is...
It's not like we're rich, though.
My grandparents own a suite so guests come...
And I have a free holiday! :)
And, this is just a project I want to release before I go...
I may continue, and I may not...

How did I come to this project?



Story

The day has come!
You can finally go to Mayien Region and become a P.U.N.K.!
What's P.U.N.K.?
It stands for POKéMON Universal Nature Keeper.
You must travel to PUNK BASE which is in Bloomscent City.

On your way to Bloomscent City, you hear a strange cry.
You come closer and see a POKéMON you've never seen before.
You check the Guide Book and it sais that it's a Skorupi and it can only be found in Sinnoh region.
The thing called Skorupi was attacking another POKéMON, [starter].
When [starter] sees you, it runs to you.
It looks like it wants you to take him.
The moment you touch [starter], the Skorupi vanishes.
That's weird...
Bug-type POKéMON don't learn Teleport!

Actually, I'm not so sure the storyline is a storyline, its more just the first sequence of events in the hack. It would be more interesting if you elaborated and hinted on what else happens later on, even if you can't say it outright.

I like the screenshots :) And although I don't normally like Ruby-tiles they seem to look a lot better next to the Wesley tiles you are using, so keep it up!

this looks great!I love the tree tiles. I get the deal, you are away from your cpu and you want to hack. I know how it is. anyway you might want to add shadows to the bottom of the rocks so that it does't look like they are not floating. (but even then they'd have a shadow. lol)

Agreed. I think a good storyline should tell us what the game doesn't.. and your storyline is basically telling us how the game starts. :/

On a brighter note, those tiles are beast, and it sounds like an awesome idea. I'm behind you all the way on this one! ^^

It's never going to be finished, anyway.

From Viridian, you get to Pallet, they you go to Vermillion by boat and then you may go on S.S. Anne! Wee! Flying!

Wait your only doing this for a month? Sorry to be blunt but is there any point it being in the progressing hacks if theres no hope in it finishing?

I don't really think that this is going to be a 1 month hack.
What I really think is that Watermelon will work on 2 Hacks at a time in
the near future.

Why even post it if it's never going anywhere? Why get people's hopes up and then just smash them down? Why would you just come out with an awesome idea, and then chuck it down the garbage can as another lost hack? I mean, is this fun to you?

There's no hope of finishing but I might release an alpha.

I so voted for mareep it's been one of my favorite pokemon since i first played gold also it's so cute and fluffy plus amphoros (hope i spelt that right) is awsome.
