If nobody said this, I think I've found a bug:

In the block editor, if you type any character in "Behaviour byte" and "Background byte" that isn't a number, it will give you an error, and then the selector box will display de character that was there before until you re-open AM.

If you didn't understand me, I can post images.

kk, oh well also i've noticed that A-maps colour picker rounds it's numbers, when trying to insert tiles it rounded the #'s of the RBG :(

AdvanceMap is multi language.
on first start it ask you which language you want...
or go to settings->language->english to change it to english^^
Optionen->Sprachen->English (it it is currently set to german)

Thanks for Advance Map, is my first tool and the most used.
It's really complete and i wish it were so even a DS MAP, but now are only dreams. :)

The next version of AdvanceMap should come in a Windows, a Linux and a Mac version.

also Lu-Ho are you using gtk for the cross-platform?

indirect.
I use a IDE named Lazarus, an opensource clone of Delphi.
And it support crossplatform.
for linux it use gtk, for mac i'm not sure.

I'll be more than happy to test the Mac version for you. ^^ I've been hopeing for mac hacking tools for a year now. Running the windows version with darwine works, but a true mac version would be so awesome!

Now if only more toolmakers would follow your example...

although i doubt i will be given the privilige to test it. id be happy to test it for windows 7

i got a problem when i replace a map
the name changes to the place of pallet town so if it still is pallet town it changes in pallet town
and when i edit that i get that every pallet town changes into that name
is there any fix for that?

Goto MapHeader Tab
And choose a town name to use in the drop down box

You can tell which names are unused because their map "folders" have different icons.

that didnt help me i choosed a map and all maps with that name changed

it's exactly that what these above me saied:

On Inserting a new Map, the Map will get the first nameindex in the ROM (that is PALLET TOWN).

now you have to open your new map, and choose a name in the drop down, to select a other one.

Change the description/text of a Mapname, will change the whole NameIndex.
Is meaning replace the name on all Maps having the name you selected.
Inserting new Names AREN'T possible.
