As reported by Serebii, various Japanese TV guides have announced a couple New Year's specials for the anime. Both specials air on December 31st. The first special begins at 6AM JST and is titled A Complete Showcase of Legendary Pokémon, which is two hours in length. The second special begins immediately after at 8AM JST, called Pocket Monsters XY 1 Hour Special.

The second special will look back at XY's greatest moments and battles, and also will reveal content from future episodes.

Also, good news for those who use Amazon Fire! The Pokémon TV app is now available on the platform and is free to use and download.

Cartoon Network will be hosting a Pokémon marathon on February 7th. The marathon notably includes the premiere of four episodes, including the first two episodes of XY season 2, the second act of the Mega Evolution specials, and the previously unaired XY024. As reported on Serebii.net, and also revealed from CoroCoro, is a possible special episode set to air on Oha Suta on April 23rd, titled Hoopa's Appear Plan. Not much is known about the special.
