Hi guys! I'm Inkblots.

I'm mostly here because of the fantastic resources in the ROM hacking forum, which is what I'm really interested in (I'm currently practicing and learning some of the basics of scripting by doing some really simple hacks that just involves making all pokemon available in a single game). I'm also an artist, and working (slowly) on making photorealistic digital paintings of pokemon, so I'll probably be hanging out in the art forum as well ;)

That aside, I'm a huge fantasy/sci-fi/anime geek, and always welcome random chats about such things :)

You like our Emulation section I say? Well, MidnightShine's got you covered since he knows a bit about that section.

We have a lot in common Inkblots.
I was drawn here because of all the help with Rom hacking. How are you finding scripting? I still can't quite understand it all, but my main focus with rom hacking is just adding my own sprites anyway :P

Haha, well, I'm fairly good at coding in general (when I have the time and desire to learn it. I'm currently being inspired by an introductory programming course I'm taking ;)), so writing the scripts I'm not finding too hard a concept to grasp, but getting them to compile into the ROM properly has been an issue. I think I found the problem after asking about it over in the ROM hacking forum though, so we'll see if I can get it to work when I get back from classes :)

We do indeed have an amazing Emulation section, don't we? There's tons of tools, tutorials, and other cool things there! But it's neat that you're a good coder, that's something I really want to learn in the future. ): A few of my friends self taught themselves coding, so that makes me feel a bit better about trying aha! I'll get there eventually. n_n

Definitely check out Art & Design, we could use some more artists showing off their work~! I'll look forward to seeing what you post in there.
