[Challenge] Mono-Color Challenge

Here's the post about Ruby.

• Picked the male character, and soloed with Treecko until I reached Dewford. In Granite Cave, I caught a Mawile that I named Cruncher.
• Avoided Brawly's gym since Mawile's weak to Fighting. Instead, I went onwards to defeat other gyms. After battling Flannery, I went to the desert and caught a Baltoy that I named Zero.
• Zero wasn't that useful in the beginning, so I just gave it the Exp. Share and let Cruncher do all the work until Zero evolved.
• After easily beating Norman and Winona, I caught the final member of my team, Spooks the Duskull. She was just like Zero, not that useful until she evolved.
• With all of Hoenn's gyms down, I traversed onto Victory Road and the Pokémon League.
• The Pokémon League was honestly harder than I expected, but my team pulled it all the way through, and I became the champion of Hoenn!

- After a lot of grinding my totodile has evolved into a cronocraw. It's currently at level 20 and I have yet to catch any other pokemon as of now. Will catch an oddish after I beat Bugsy.

• Chose Turtwig for HM slave purposes, and caught my first Pokemon, Muscle the Machop, above Oreburgh City.
• Roark was easy thanks to Low Kick and Karate Chop.
• Moved on to Florama Town, and after a couple misses with the Honey trees, I finally got Sandy the Burmy to show up.
• Beat Mars in the Valley Windworks and continued north to Eterna Forest.
• Went through the forest with Cheryl, training Sandy up.
• Arrived in Eterna City, and after beating the trainers to the east, Sandy evolved into Wormadam!
• Took on Gardenia, who was fairy difficult, but Sandy pulled it out in the end thanks to Hidden Power Fire.
• Got the Explorer Kit, and after a ton of mining, I dug up a Heat Rock (!), a Hard Stone, and finally, an Armor Fossil!
• Beat up Team Galactic and Jupiter in the TG Eterna Building.
• Got the Bike, and cycled down to Oreburgh City, where I revived Wally the Shieldon!
• Explored Wayward Cave and rescued Mira, then headed to Hearthome City, where I beat Barry.
• On my way to Solaceon Town, Muscle evolved into Machoke!
• Explored the ruins and climbed the tower to get Strength.
• Saved on Route 215.

During the last week, I've played through Diamond and completed it.

• Chose Turtwig for HM and early-game purposes. I soloed with him until I reached Eterna Forest, where I caught Blackout the Murkrow.
• Blackout was great against Gardenia, and the three gym leaders after her weren't difficult either. But Byron was challenging, since I had deleted Night Shade, thinking that it wouldn't come in handy anymore. So I was stuck with Flying- and Dark-type moves, and had to stall him with Hyper Potions.
• After Byron, I went to catch a Sneasel, which was a bit tricky, but it eventually worked. Named it SantaClaws.
• When Candice was taken down, I went to Team Galactic's HQ in Veilstone to raid it. When I was done and ready to go to Mt. Coronet, I realized that a boy in Eterna City will offer a Chatot for a Buizel. So I went and caught a Buizel to trade it, and I got Charap the Chatot that completed my team.
• I took on the Galactic grunts in Mt. Coronet, and also Mars, Jupiter and Cyrus. Since my team couldn't really handle Steel-types well, I just threw my Master Ball at Dialga.
• Volkner was not too tough, but since I had two Flying-types, SantaClaws pretty much had to do all the work.
• The Elite Four was easy. I was a bit worried about Bertha, since all of my Pokémon were weak to Rock. I managed to pull it through though.
• Cynthia on the other hand, was not easy. It was quite tense, like when SantaClaws barely survived a Giga Impact from Garchomp, and then took it out with an Avalanche.
• After many Hyper Potions and Revives, Cynthia finally went down!

I've continued my Ultimate Black Challenge on Black, and made it pretty far into the main game.

> Picked Snivy as my starter, whom I used to defeat the first gym. After that, I caught a Blitzle that I named Zepari.
> Zepari couldn't handle Lenora well, so I trained it up to the level where it evolved. With my newly-evolved Pokémon, I managed to beat Lenora.
> After Burgh was defeated, I caught my second team member, Sigilyph. I named it Gephalia.
> I thought Elesa was going to be trouble for me, but with Zepari's ability Motor Drive and its move Flame Charge, it worked out very well. Clay did give me some trouble though, mainly with critical hits.
> When Clay was defeated, I went to the Chargestone Cave. When I got out, I went to the Celestial Tower to catch a Litwick. When I did, I named it Flamare.
> Saved on Route 7.

• On my way to Veilstone City, Wally evolved into Bastiodon!
• Arrived in the city, bought some vitamins, then cahllenged the gym.
• Maylene wasn't too difficult with Muscle's fighting attacks.
• After beating all the trainers on the two routes to Pastoria City, I defeated Wake with Wally's Shock Wave and Blizzard.
• Beat Barry again, then met Cynthia again.
• Went to Celestic Town and got Surf.
• Surfed to Route 218 and caught my next team member, Nyan the Glameow.
• Saved in Pastoria City, just about to go train Nyan on the water routes.

• While training on the water routes, Nyan evolved into Purugly!
• Went to Canalave City, where I evolved Muscle into Machamp!
• Beat Barry, then took on the gym. Byron was no match for Muscle.
• After beating Saturn and Mars at the lakes, I slogged to Snowpoint City.
• Realized that Snorunt (for Glalie) isn't available until the postgame, so I went to Iron Island and caught Crusher the Steelix.
• Went through Iron Island with Riley, training Crusher up as I went.
• Back in Snowpoint City, I took on the gym and beat Candice with Crusher and Nyan.
• Time to eliminate Team Galactic...so I did that, beating Cyrus twice.
• After killing Palkia with Wally, I headed to Sunyshore City, where I beat Volkner with Nyan and Wally.
• I am saved in Sunyshore City.

The league was easy, not much to tell you about. Kanto was easypeasy.
Had to do some grinding before the league and also before Red.
Eventually against Red:
- Pikachu was OHKO by Sandslash' Earthquake
- Venusaur was defeated by Typhlosions Flamethrower
- Espeon was defeated by Girafarigs Crunch
- Blastoise was defeated by Ampharos' Thunder
- For Snorlax I needed about every member of my team... Finally defeated it with Typhlosions Flamethrower
- Charizard was defeated by Ampharos' Thunder
