UPDATE: Finished BETA 3. Goes all the way up to the town with the 3rd Gym Badge, and a couple other places.

That Smith from Beta 3 is pretty funny with all his Grammar Mistakes... Anyways, these are the glitches I found:

Spoiler:

If you walk to the Right, the Hack resets.


The Signpost's text should be changed.


The Signpost's text should be changed.


Torry's text should be changed.


The U-Gen's Grunts' shoes overlaps the Player.


The Signpost has weird letters.


Prof. Shale's Aide's text should be changed.


Prof. Shale's Aide doesn't walk away properly.


The Player is under the ground.


The Signpost's text should changed.


Edit: Here are some suggestions: I think that you should change Prof. Shale's OW, and the Heroine's Running OWs/Introduction Sprite.


Edit 2: For Beta 4, I think that you should put the distance from Gravelsburg to the Fourth Gym's Location much further away. Why? Because if you put the Gyms sticking too closely, then it just doesn't seem... right... You should put more Routes and the Amnesia stuff (Plots) before you make the Gyms Sticking too closely. And also, some Trainers still have FR Text, especially Route 3, which has 90% if Trainers having FR Texts, which makes the Hack lose its Amnesia Feel, in my opinion. Other than that, thi hack is awesome.

Haha, I can't believe I missed those Gym Signs... I did, however, find the tile that causes the game to reset when you step on it, and for some reason, when I try to change the Behavior of that tile that overlaps the player, it still overlaps from some reason. But yeah, thanks for noticing the mistakes I made. I'll be sure to iron just about all of them out hopefully by Beta 4.

This looks pretty cool. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Don't give up!
By the way, I think I might know what your tile problem is. Open it up in Block editor and make sure that the tiles are in "down," not "up." If they're in up, they'll overlap the player.

Oh, thanks for the tip, but I did figure out the issue. On that area, the Movement Permissions were just plain ol' "C" blocks. I had to change them to "10's." I don't quite get it, but the overlapping problem was definitely solved.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. It's because 10 is a higher level than C, I think.

Could you point out what the tile errors are, and where they're at? And what makes the mountains look unnatural? (The mountain tiles were actually used elsewhere in FR, just not in the main outdoors tileset)

Lot of things that don't add up. A random meteor hits him in the head, and then he's cursed. What are the odds?
I think if you work on it some more it'll have potential.

The Hero is not "cursed".
It's just that Haunter is protecting the Hero from the impact of the Meteor.

I like the palette, but I have one question... Wouldn't a meteorite hit him in the head, and pretty much disintegrate him, his rival, and make a hole in the earth?

Fix the following;
The meteor part just say the dusclopse missed and you got sent to a coma.
In Beta 3 (haven't tested others) Theirs nothing to do except battle an impossible pokemon to beat, (it isn't affected by normal types)

Yeah, the story was (and apparently still is) shoddy, but this is one of those play-as-you-go things. As the game goes on, you start to discover the 'how' behind the 'what' factors. Toward the end of BETA 3, the answers are sort of unveiled.

Well, it's not actually Team Rocket in the game; It's supposed to be a different type of organization in the hack known as U-Gen. (I was too lazy to change the sprites in Beta 3, but I've changed them for the release of BETA 4.)

Believe it or not, it's actually both. The player being cursed is tied to being half the cause of the Amnesia, and the manner in which the Haunter protects the player from the meteor would be the other half.

Nope. The meteorite's a quarter the size of a baseball in this scenario. Mainly due to being burnt up and worn down while entering earth's atmosphere.

If you're talking about the guy outside of the first city in the game where there's a trainer who uses a Gastly, you actually have a choice as to whether you want to walk past him or talk to him. On top of that, there's wild Doduo on the nearby Routes who use Peck, which is a Flying-type move that can hit a Gastly.

You walk to the leftmost side of the platform, step one tile down, and "talk" to the water on the left.

Great game! I will play it later. Still, the storyline is a bit odd... The character wakes up 5 years later? How can he be alive 5 years later wihout eating anything? Sorry for the critique, but its a bit odd... Just like my stories But anyway, you did a good job here.
