nice idea darkcookie i will do that but there r 48 shadow pokes in the game!
so what to do about the other 23 pokes?

also big steve i was also thinking along the line of evolving but i wouldnt want it to say "(insert name here) is evolving" maybe something like " (insert name here) has been purified"

but then you could stop the evollution by pressing B or X if ur using an emulator

It just wouldn't be plausible, because then you couldn't have Croconaw evolve into a Fraligatr ( or however you spell it ).

yes you could
making shadow croconaw - a seperate pokemon to the normal croconaw - evolve into croconaw wouldnt effect it evolving because it's a seperate pokemon
try it yourself
make cyndaquil evolve into croconaw
it doesnt stop totdile becoming croconaw does it?
and it doesnt stop croconaw becoming feraligatr

You aren't making any sense at all, you're just throwing words together without knowing actually how to do any of it.
I don't see how making Cyndaquil evolve into Croconaw would help the process at all anyways, since you can only have a maximum of 5 evolutions.

that was a random example
so is this:

if shadow croconaw was in blank space 1 as a completerly new pokemon and it was set to evolve into the original croconaw at full happiness

i dont see how or why it would effect anything else going on in the game.

i understood what u meant big steve but i knew that already

ok heatran listen up

so u change the sprite of a hmmmm.. lets say a maril to a shadow cyndaquil

you set the shadow cyndaquil (maril) to evolve into cyndaquil

but it wont have any effect on cyndaquil evolving.

also big steve when the games done ill put u in the credits cos ur a big help!

ive found some awesome sprites that are brilliant!

ive got overworld sprites that iwant to add in the geame but without sprite editing! n e 1 no how i can do it?

put the sprites into paint
zoom right in (800%)
copy it pixel for pixel

thx big steve

ive got quite a lot of questions here they are:

ive got some sprites that arent overworld u no like in a battle where it says fisherman harry wants to battle and then u see fisherman harry how do u insert those

and the same for the sprites at the beggining of the game where u choose male or female?

and the evolving shadow pokemon into normal pokemon how can u stop people pressing B to stop the evolution

two more things

ive also got a sprite for when the trainer sends out a pokemon how do i change that

and lastly i havet changed any sprites yet cos im not sure wether it will still let me use advance map after i sprite edit-

ps: do u like the shadow pokemon i made?

i reli like the shadow sprites you put in. I also wish you luck. Since I'm busy with my own hack, I can't really help. But I'm a moderate scripter (almost advanced). I can help you out a little with the basic stuff. (Battles, Talking Scripts, Movement Scripts, Yes/NO, Give ect.)

darkshade, are you going to make it so that there are no wild pokemon, like on the game? If not, you should make it so that the shadow pokemon can't be caught in the wild (example: Say a trainer has a shadow pikachu, then the only way to catch a pikachu is to snag their pikachu(meaning there would be no pichu, pikachu, or raichu (no evos of it either) in the wild) and the only way to get a pichu is to breed the pikachu with a ditto or another pikachu that you snagged or hatched from an egg. Hope this helped.

ive got an idea cos u start off in the game with normal sprite
then i can change the bike sprite to the girl following the boy

but i need a way for you constantly be on ur bike but without even having the bike as an item

Well, 1st, just edit the bike sprite as u said be4.
Then, export that frame and import it into the beginning frame in ur OWE.
Also, just don't give the hack a bike.

i need to it makes sense cos that way u start off with no partner then get a partner although itll also mean when you travel back to outskirt satnd ull b partnerless

unless i make a map exactly the same as the outskirt stand and call it the outskirt stand
and make you constantly ride ur bike hey im a genius lol no im really not!

although i could change the name of the "bicycle" to "partner" then you could press select and you could choose wether to have her following you or not instead of my previous rubbish idea

Problem there is that using the bicycle wont add a second sprite, only change the 1 you control
you could use something like this:
I used the sprites for Brendan and a random NPC woman because i had a spritesheet (probably from the spriters resource) handy and they worked
the only problem might be getting a palette to support both.

you would also have to remove the boundaries for no bikes allowed areas
and somehow stop the speed increase.

oh dont worry about that its all srted out but theres a few glitches but actually my sprite looks a lot better than that ill sow u!

is there a way of stopping the bike/u and ur partner from moving so fast?
sorry im in school using a proxy and its stopping me from inserting a picture

its on my profile if you wanna see its had a loss of color not much though

also in this thread on the top of this page there r some questions im hoping u could answer can u?

Hey! I got an idea on how to use the snags!
In the Pokeballs, there's a ball called "Snag" Maybe you might make "Strong snag" Or something but...whatever.
Well, use the "Wild battle" idea for Shadow pokemon.
Give them Shadow Tag (Wobbufetts) ability.
Also, don't make wild Pokemon so change the wild Pokemon writing to "Trainer sent out Shadow Pokemon!"
And went you capture it, "Shadow Pokemon was snagged!"
What else...uh...
Oh, and when you run out of snags, make a guy give you some as a "recharge"!

If there's any problem tell me...

Don't use the bike sprite!
Read THIS tut on how to use any other.

to make that work you'd have to remove wild battles (which doesnt matter because the original had no wild battles )
Isn't Shadow Tag the same as Arena Trap?

Ok everyone has given their ideas. I RELI wanna see some progress on this hack so I'll throw in my 2 pennies:

Make a normal trainer battle...After you win use a $further command. Whihc will redirect you to the $further in the script. Further makes it so the script continues right after the battle. Make whoever say something like. " You may have beaten me...But Now I'm going to show you real power!" Then just activate the wild battle script.. Its actually very easy.. Something I could script in less than 6 minutes.. But thats just my idea

there is progress in this hack ive sprited the boy and the girl (wes&rui)
listen guys i know u dont like the bike idea but trust me! ill put a vid on youtube to show u what i mean!

erm ive mapped all the main towns citys and places its just the houses im bored of doing
but alas i must continue...

im using mystery dungeon sprites for out-of-pokeball-pokemon cos it looks more 3d
and colosseum was 3d !

oh and thanx dark lakitu and quilava's master

if shadow is just like arena trap then im definately using that!

theres some really old screenshots on my profile (theyve changed a bit now!)
