Ahh that's awesome thanks man.

Most of the time if I need something sprited I can manage to do it basing it on what I already have.

Obviously this doesn't work too good when I need something brand new

O_O

Damn, how is Titanium/Iron supposed to compete with THAT!? Excellent work. The graphics are INSANE.

Ok, since the game doesn't have a name, in my sig I'll just put "the game that Kyledove's making".

Support Amber IDE.......because, seriously, we need an actual Pokemon game engine.

For those who don't know, Nintendo has shut down Pokemon Fusion Generation in a massive case of overreach.
Let's show Nintendo that that ain't acceptable.
Use the hashtag #FreePFG on Twitter, so that one guy's hard work isn't erased.

Feel free to PM me if ya have any questions.

Yeah of course Ill give the link when the first beta is released, why wouldnt I want people to play?! haha

Anyway, lots of work has been done it. Nicknaming system works now, also pvp battles are nearly perfect (Theres a small bug where the loser's game gets stuck)

Oh and we already have quite a few beta testers.
Right now Im trying to make the first city (which will be big-ish hopefully to make space for lots of players) and then Ill release some new screenshots.

Looks really nice, Kyle. The interface is really polished and eye-pleasing, as are your custom graphics. Good to hear the renaming system works, also. By the way, will players be stackable (meaning that two players can be on the same tile at the same time, with the controlled character appearing on top)?

Yep players are stackable, its not pretty, but its necessary.

If not someone standing in front of the pokemon centre would cause chaos.

That would be funny. But this game is.... well its great. Great don't quite cut it, but I'm not grabbing a dictionary to find the exact word that fits this. Fantastic work, I hope to get to play this in the near future.

How will saving work in the game?
Like since it's web based- would deleting your cookies or clearing your browser's private data delete anything that mugh be "cached" in the game?

It will most probably feature on-line saving, which stores your information in you user account database.

This will also cut down on the possible ways of cheating

Yeah like waudby said, it has autosave.
Basically it saves everything into a database, so that people can't cheat.
Its also handy if youre playing and you accidentally turn it off or refresh everything is saved from when you last played.

@Legendarytamer: sorry but like I said, we have enough beta testers.

SO how far along is the actual game then? Becuase I can't quite grasp how much progress has been made.

The pics show that most of the work has already been done, is this the case?

Well like I said in the first post:

Current features:
Online play and chat - you can see the other players.
PvP nearly works bug-free (player vs player battles)
Can see list of players currently online.
Catch, battle, train, level up.
Can nickname pokemon.
Pokemon box storage system fully works.
Pokeball can miss with probability depending on the health.
Can run away from battles.
Day and night system implemented.
Buying and selling items.
Being able to move team order freely.
NPC battles and talk.
Scrolling maps.
Animated interface and editing tools.

The beta-engine is ~75% complete, but there's not a lot of game-content yet.
Theres only like around 10 or so pokemon in it yet, and their moves and stuff havent been programmed yet.
And I have yet to finish the first proper map for the game which is a big city.

Ahh right fair enough.

Sounds like a lot of work has already gone into the game. I'm glad to see you got a project going.

Any news on those tiles at all?

I'm guessing the setting for the game is a completely new "region"?

I finally finished the starting city.
The school you start in is at the top of the map.

Central City

And yeah this will be a new region

Dude, since you're making this 100% custom, couldn't you make this a Pay to Play?
