- Spectacles -
The world, the outside, all seems still.
Every person hang on to their own spectacles,
witnessing a different view.
Sounds of train's steam, forlorn birds, enhanced
offer a grand sensation of something new, slightly complex
and it's hard to understand.
Initial shafts of light fall down on roofs, trees and passersby
and when we take away our glasses, all turns vague.
Perhaps that's how it goes
for we cannot read the writing on the wall
a moment between darkness and darkness it is, and no more.
Mistaken by your spectacles
but you know you'll never take them off
for being happy is better than being able to comprehend.
