Well, I'll be out for 3 weeks starting this Saturday. Don't expect any updates on the game and also I probably I won't be able to answer your questions that often, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything new on the game to show. I'll leave here a teaser of what is to come after I get back of my trip ^^.

I got some C+C on the intro


I was watching the recent vid where you go to the profesor to take the quiz, and.. Well, it's hideous. Everything goes awfully dark, and then two deformed ugly sprites appear and start doing random crap and stuff. No.

I would strongly recommend you to remove this as soon as possibe. The badly made deformed trainer sprites would look a thousand times better if they were decently sized mugshots on the screen, giving you the feel as if you were actually engaging in a conversation with them, instead of some random stick figures in the background. They would also show emotions alot more effectively.

Also, the darkness in the background should be toned down in like 50% of it's alpha value. One can't even see what the OWs are doing back there, and I'll just add the fact that it looks actually terrible on it's own. In fact, a nicely done lab BG to be shown would be excellent, like those that show on FR/LG when you enter places and caves.

I also saw alot of spelling errors on the text, and that it was badly positioned all over.




Well, im even thinking on applying as a temporary spriter to help you fix most of these. I have pretty much alot of free time on my hands right now.

Well guys it has been a while since I last posted. I was really busy this last weeks and also not that motivated on working on Uranium. However I got my motivation back this week xD.

I took the time to update the whole first post (which has been over three months without being updated) and also put a new css design. Each month I'll be using a different css theme, each theme will be a pokémon type, and this month's type is FIRE!

Check the first post out for a new video, it's the first one of a series which will show high quality versions of the exclusive and custom game music made by me =p.

Obs: The only part still needing to be updated is the screens part, I hope I can finish that still today, and also expect a reasonably big update this weekend (or maybe monday/tuesday).

Well, I have a nice update for you guys, it has to do with tiles, new ones! I asked Zeph a set of city tiles and she made some that are looking really good! I revamped Nowtoch city for that, it's the biggest city I've showed to the public yet of the game.

Well, thats all =], comments on the tiles would be great!


*The night pictures are a bit older so I was using an old gym building. The new one is from Alistair's new set of tiles and I'm not sure if I will be using them, credits to him!

Actually, the rear stairs need corrected. You'll see what I mean in the image below.



The new city tiles look great. Zephyr did a really good job on them. The only thing I can see is the shading should probably be touched up on just a little bit, and there needs to be a difference between the regular sidewalk tile and the rear-edge sidewalk tile. And good to see you are using one of my new buildings. My only suggestion with this would to be to add the shadow. It looks like it's hovering, sans the door.

Overall, a really good update JV. Even though I haven't posted much in here, I have been following the project and it's coming along great.

Hey, Uranium fans!

It's me, Zephyr! Remember? Spriter and plot writer and all that? I come bearing good news: we're close to releasing a beta! But in order to do that, we're going to need your help! That's right, we're looking for betatesters!

We need about five people who want to play our game, for as long as they can, and give us feedback. We want to hear about everything, from game-crashing disasters to minor annoyances to tile errors to typos to general suggestions for improvement.

You don't need any particular skills, really, you just need to agree to:

-Not distribute the game to anybody else; it's a closed beta! Besides, there might be bugs.
-Put together a notepad file of everything you find, and send it in to either me or JV.

All that are interested can PM me or JV (preferably JV, since I'll just end up telling you to PM him anyway). Oh, and it helps if you have MSN or a compatible messenger, for communication purposes. This will help us a lot, and the more testers we have, the better we can guarantee that an official beta will be released next month! Thank you! ^^

Well, it has been awhile I posted here, but I have to say progress is at really high speed, I solved most of bugs identified By Zephyr and me, I also sent the game to a few people here on the forums, we are still looking for testers though.

I'm continuing the new videos series that show remix I made for the game, yesterday I added more 4 videos, making it a total of 6. Here are links for all of them:
