Hey everyone expect a very unique update coming soon. Not unique as in presentation lol Krimms killed that for everybody. But the actual update of the game will be unique and stick to malachites theme of strange but still cool enviroments. I will also add that it will have a new gym leader revealed.

Well To hold you guys for a moment here is a small screen. It looks familiar but some things are changed.
SCREENIE!

You see all three pokeballs this time, Your grandfathers lantern in the corner and in the lower corner the pokedex which will probably be changed to a different look. Oh and of course this time the official Pokemon hero is seen in the screen.

Not really. I mean alot of people voted for both fakemon and regular pokemon. So why not satisfy them both?
Pokemon Malachite December 25th Update!
lol Santa almost forgot about the insula region. XD

HO! HO! HO!Santa Claus has come all the way to INSULA!
Where all the Insulian children wake up wondering if santa brought them a pokemon for christmas,Filled their stockings with Potions and antidotes or hell since your walkin in malachite hoping he brought them bikes! lol.With the help of my most trusted stantler I am able to bring you a present the gift of a malachite UPDATE! lol check it out!


I would first like to mention the current team status. Well we lost a team member in 44tim44. He has left Team malachite as a spriter and fakemon designer. I wish Him luck on any future projects he becomes apart of. I also have good news though. We've gained fakemon designers in Aeromaxx and andinator and a spriter in blazers08.

But Let me Get to the actual update which consists of screens! This shows a little sample of the part of the game where you'll be hustling for money! It shows a simple farming job you'll have to do enjoy! there would have been more but unfortanetley I've ran into some problems, not with the actual game but a spriting problem.

Lemme Know what you think of this. Also Just a little job spoiler I'm working on a Miltank OW for a job where you'll be hunting miltank! They'll be hidden well so it wont be easy money.

There should be a comma after "job" in the 2nd to last screen. :P

I don't know exactly what engine you're using to make the game (I'm going to guess RMXP for this one) but in the first and last screenshot of your last update, I can't help but feel that the trees are a bit 'monotonous'.

The fact that the same tree is used over and over is very likely a big contributor to that (I'd suggest making a second tree sprite of a slightly different green, to break the monotony), but it is also the way they are spaced.

One suggestion would be to sometimes put more trees closer together, using the different layers RMXP has to offer to hide the 'bottom part' of one tree behind the 'middle part' of another, and to move away from every tree in a straight line behind eachother.

What you're doing is:

, you could try mixing it up a little by going
XX-XX
XXXX-
XX-XX

Not sure if that actually made sense, but I hope it does. Else I could make a quick paint picture of what I mean.

Something else is the strange green 'blob' around the base of your planted bushes, that looks rather weird and out of place.

Other than that, it looks pretty splendid.

Well thank you for your concern but I place my trees that way for a reason if you look at the other screens in the thread you'll see that i dont usually place stuff like that. So on this map they are placed that way on purpose. Thanx for the advice though.

Ah, artificially planted forest eh? xD Yeah, on your other screenshots it did seem a lot more...well...foresty, that's why I mentioned. Too many RPGs around these days where everything's just neatly lined up.
