Also When I patch it to Platinum it fails...any suggestions?

As for the random encounters, WPEDS was used, as for the patch, you are using the US Platinum, completely clean correct? And you are using Tsukuyomi, correct?
I guess I need a more detailed description of what is going wrong...

First off I should ask why you are making it a utm file as opposed to an nds...
As for the checksum invalid, try a clean, fresh rom...
That message would be displayed if the rom is either the incorrect size or has been modified some how (anyone feel free to correct me here, but I am almost certain on this)
Try a fresh rom and try using the nds format...

Just an idea. If possible you could make the trainer (playable character) Ash and have Pikachu follow you (just for aesthetic reasons). Maybe by manipulating the Amity Square script. When time and tools make it possible.

I think that it is great that someone is making a DS game hack!

I hate to burst your bubble but that would require a hack of EVERY SINGLE TILE IN THE GAME! All though the ash thing is doable though, although I probably won't bother... I like the concept of the player writing the story of their own adventure rather than following in the footsteps of another...
Although, I may add Ash in as an event once it is possible (all event editing is on hold until massive issues are worked out)

I will be making one once they all have definite locations... They are in the process of being tweaked, and I have hit a snag with the production of the next release so it may be awhile...

Well, thank-you for the work that you have done so far. Do you mind me asking a quick question though- in your current version, are ALL the starters findable at Lake Verity? Most of the rest of the locations I'm quite happy to just figure out myself.

Hey gz for the great work , this hack works magic here and the evolution idea of the item pokemon owns !!! I would like to ask where does the starters of d/p/p spawn? I saw chimchar spawns on the first lake but what abou the others? Turtwig and piplup? w00t w00t i got pwnd by ho-oh at the cave near jubifile xD

Just ignore all of the people telling you to use other rom bases and such. It's your hack, you get to pick what happens. Also, I was just wondering if all of the pokemon are available in new places, e.g Bellsprout in Eterna Forest?

Yes, they do, and a tip for avoiding Lugia and Ho-oh early on, keep evee in your party

I'm not entirely certain I understand your question but I do have em scattered throughout the game, most of em make sense to their area (like ice pokemon on that mountain top, or plant pokemon near the forests)
