Thread guidelines

• Provide as much relevant information as possible
  Whether you are recruiting or looking for work, you must provide as much relevant information as possible. If you are looking for work, have something to showcase in the area you want to work for. If you are recruiting a team member, provide information on your team (who is on it) and what game you are (or will) be working on. Again, try have something to showcase.
  
• Making the same request is not allowed
  You can ask for as many positions you need, but you are not allowed to repost the same position just to bump the thread. If a position is filled, you can post to let people know and if you wish, edit your original post.

Additional Info

• I only want experienced staff members who can produce high-quality work. Here's some examples by existing staff (this is the kind of quality I'm looking for): Overworld sprite / Pokémon sprite / Pokémon design
• Once you have been accepted into the staff, you will gain access to the Staff forum in the Project Amethyst forums, which will let you see other staff members' work and get constructive criticism on your own.
• All project staff will receive a Mystery Gift for Pokémon Amethyst once the game is completed, and will also have a cameo appearance in the game (similarly to how Game Freak appears in the official games).

- I only want experient spriters on the team, since I don't want to low down the overall sprite quality (which is probably one of the best here on PC), the staff always get to play/test the beta before anyone, also can choose/suggest features, fakemon, trainers, maps etc. Believe me, you will have loads of fun working with us ;p.

- Team Zirconium is a quickly growing and passionate group of fun individuals who are in it for their love of the franchise. Unlike teams that fade away or lose their motivation, we won't back down until our project is completed. We're looking to see this through until the end, and we're looking for the same in our recruits.

- First and foremost, Team Zirconium is looking for experienced developers looking for a serious project; please have examples of your work available for us to judge. Despite this, we're a fun group of people and we know how to have a good time; there is no stress within our forums, and no pressure to get the job done. We have released a private pre-beta version of the game to some of the member who signed up on our website. Now we are busy with adding new features and extending the worldmap.

Below you will find a list of available jobs. All jobs have the following requirements:

• You live or can work in European timezone. (Most of our members are from The Netherlands)
• If you can't speak dutch (NL) you have to speak good english.

Mappers
We are looking for 2 types of mappers:

City/Town Mapper - 1 position
Your main task is to build city's and towns with their inside maps.

Cave/Dungeon Mapper - 1 position
Your main task is to design and build caves and dungeons.

Spriters
Number of open positions for this job: 2

What does this job mean:

• Enlarge Pokemon sprites without losing quality and details
• Create/Extend custom text sprites (used for in-game chat)
• Creating new custom sprites/tiles.

The game mechanics will work similarly to the original games; players will start with a personality quiz which will help decide which Pokemon they are. Once that has been settled each player will begin to form a team with other players online. These team will grow and change over time. Your team will work together to complete missions, find object, and help other groups. The world will be based on the different places presented in the original games, but will be constantly expanding.

The game will be coded in Java. I picked Java because it is easy to learn, and works in web browsers, as well as on almost any computer. This will help future proof the game, and make it compatible with anyone's computer who wishes to play.
