Along time ago on Diamond, for some unknown reason, I decided that Poisoning Mespirit was a good idea. I thought... status problem, it'll be easier to catch now... However, 2 years later I still can't catch the thing! It is flying around Sinnoh, poisoned, with a tiny amount of HP left. When I track it down, If I hit it with a Mean Look it will faint on the next turn anyway...

Any suggestions for catching it? So far i've just been trying my luck with Quick Ball, and Ultra Ball but without success.

Please help meeeeee!

I would suggest that you try to find an extra Master Ball to catch it with, as there is not much else that can be done about it.

Sounds like a bad situation. Unless you can find some way to get a hold of another master ball, it would appear that chucking ultra balls on it may be your only other option.

...Actually, yes: a Pain Split used by a Pokemon at high health would end up healing the Mesprit at the cost of its own HP. If that Pokemon also had Mean Look and was at a high enough Level, it should be able to continuously heal the Mesprit while being healed itself by multiple Hyper Potions, giving more than enough time to catch it.

Try Dusknoir or Spiritomb.

......Of course, this assumes that you did not happen to badly poison the Mesprit through the use of Toxic.

so was that a good idea?
and if theres any pokemon, like trapinch, that has arena trap etc. u could stop them from leaving the stage too.
therefore mesprit couldnt leave during a turn

Toxic turns to regular poison after a fight ends.

But, from what I'm getting, your Mesprit is poisoned currently, and only has enough HP to survive one final hit of the poison. So, unless you do get another Master Ball, this is going to be painful.

You can either do the "just chuck Ultra/Quick/Dusk/whatever balls" at it method. Or you can go in with a Pokemon, Pain Split the first turn, then track down Mesprit again and start off with Mean Look that time. You'll get more chances for balls, but it'll be harder to catch with each ball. Your choice.

Thanks for all the help guys! I can't remember if it is badly poisoned or not. So i'll try the pain splint suggestion anyway!

Unfortunately I don't currently have access to wi-fi so the offer of Master Balls, whilst being awesome, is out of the question. Thankyou anyway though!

It's in Diamond, right?
Well, you'll need an A.R and some time to jot down this code.
Here;s a code that will give you 999 Master Balls:
94000130 FCFF0000
B21C4D28 00000000
B0000004 00000000
E0000F4C 0000003C
03E70001 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
00000000 00000000
D2000000 00000000

only thing is, it deletes all the other balls in the ball compartment. So, if you want to keep your Ultra Balls , Luxury Balls, etc, store them in your P.c or they will be lost!

I think someone said it, but Pain Split seems to be the only way out. Or else, your gonna have to resrot to a Master ball.

Stop right there; not everyone wants to use Action Replay just to catch one Pokemon... o.o

You can't store items in the PC because the bag now has infinite storage capacity, with a maximum of 999 of each item possible.

Anyway, a lot of suggestions have been given, as well as a lot of offers for Master Balls, but since help has been given on the situation, I'll go ahead and close this thread. If you would like to give further helpful advice to
PokéMartin, please do so via Private Messages.

Closes~
