Has any of you ever played the VP series?

I believe that its battle system was ingenious for the time it was released and it still amazes me how deep the story lines for both games are.

If you didnt know, Valkyrie Profile was first released on the PSX. The second game was released on the PS2 and the newest installment of the series has been released on the DS. I havent had a chance to play the third one, but the first two games have me sold.

I own VP2: Silmeria, but to be honest, I don't really play it that often. I think I'm only on the second chapter... ^^; I remember enjoying the battles, it was just everything else inbetween that I didn't like so much, aside from what little of the plot that I saw. /=

I believe there's already a VP thread. :/ Whatever. I played the first two, and was always a big fan of the Norse Mythology storyline. Battle system is good, and recruiting the dead is always fun. I haven't played the DS one though. I hear it's a SRPG. Not too big on those.
